Whose Problem Is It? Sorting out Blame and Responsibility in Relationships
In today’s society, it’s common to pass the buck by putting the blame and responsibility on others or deny that a problem even exists, especially in dysfunctional or co-dependent relationships.
When that happens, responsible people tend to get thrown off balance. If you’re one of those people, you believe in dealing with problems, rather than ignoring them or unloading them onto someone else. After all, if you own it, you can solve it, right? Under normal circumstances that would be true. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way if the problem you’re worrying about isn’t really yours to solve.
This simple game is for you if you tend to take on blame and responsibility for others to your own detriment. Especially during these times of upheaval and DETERIORATION, it’s essential to clear out all the confusion without making it only your problem. We can find more balanced ways to come up with solutions together.
Use this mind exercise when you are:

- Pressuring yourself to solve someone else’s problem
- Lacking energy for your own projects
- Aware that someone is overly dependent on you
- Wanting to change the dynamics of blame and responsibility in a relationship
- Being used as a scapegoat or dumping ground for negative energy.
Directions: Confirm this is the best exercise for you with the SOS symbol.
If your efforts to solve a problem are causing you to become overwhelmed and frustrated, follow the directions for each step of this game and watch how your perspective changes! By playing, you’ll get to the bottom of what’s going on and receive constructive guidance on how to effectively come to a solution, at least for yourself.
You’ll probably feel some energy moving while you go through the exercise. That’s all right, because it means the Circles are working with your mind to unlock a fixated pattern and help you get some positive answers to your dilemma.
Once you’ve completed the game, your energy will be more your own and you’ll have a much clearer idea of what’s actually going on, including what to do about it.
Whose Problem Is It?
1. While looking at this Circle, think of a person, a problem or a plan that‘s bothering you.
What is it specifically that bothers you about this situation?
Have you experienced this problem before?
Mind Body Integration
For best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of the body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.
Feel free to move at anytime in any way to help you embody your experience!
2. Answer “yes” or “no” to these questions about what’s happening:
“Is this my problem?”
“Is it a projection that’s coming from elsewhere?”
“Is it something I’m projecting on myself?”
“Am I projecting this problem onto someone or something else?”
If you are dealing with any projections, you can use this Circle to help you burst them, just like a bubble or lots of little bubbles.
After all, projections are just illusions and don’t really exist, so why waste your precious time and energy on them?
3. Continue answering “yes” or “no” to these questions about your true relationship to this problem:
“What is my relationship to this problem?”
“Is it a problem I’m taking on for someone else?”
“Am I obsessing or worrying over something that I have no control over?”
“Is this just a troublesome habit that I keep rerunning in my head?”
Additional questions you can ask yourself:
“Am I taking what others say and do (or don’t say and do) personally?”
“Am I being respectful to myself in this situation?
How about being respectful and understanding of others?”
“What is my part in this situation and how can I handle it?”
“Am I in the best position to make a positive change?”
4. How is this problem affecting you?
If it’s having a negative affect, release any unconscious agreements you may be holding. You can change them by imagining you can tear up old contracts or burn them up in a violet flame like these:
“I release the agreement that I don’t matter or that I have no choice in this situation.”
“I release any unconscious agreements to be rigid or keep repeating harmful habits.”
Replace those agreements with some new agreements:
“I respect and take good care of myself.”
“I exist. I get present. What I say and do matters.”
“I choose to express my needs and cooperate with others in finding genuine solutions.”
Are there any other agreements you would like to change or update?
5. It could be that you’re tapping into a recurring pattern of control or traumatic stress that’s blocking positive energy.
Relax into this symbol and imagine you can close up destructive energy channels between you and all that negative energy.
“I close down all harmful energy channels from the past.”
“I close them down because they aren’t helping anything.”
Next, open up to more hopeful and beneficial energy.
Gather up your newfound awareness and imagine you can plug it into the center of this symbol for improved communication.
“I am open to receiving generative life force available to me in the present.”
Take a few minutes to feel more centered with more positive energy flowing through you, both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body.
6. Now it’s time to turn your attention towards possible solutions to the problem.
Make a choice to be in charge of your decisions and how you respond to this problem:
“I am in charge of what I do in this situation.”
“What new decisions do I need to make about myself?”
“What decisions do I need to make about others?”
“What decisions do I need to make about this situation?”
If you feel stuck, use the Circle to unstick and remove mental obstacles from your thinking process so you can do your best in this situation.
See if you can get all the gears in your mind moving together.
7. In order for you to be more objective, dissolve any mental or emotional blueprints that may be contributing to the problem.
Gaze softly at this symbol and allow the patterns to dissolve like dark clouds hanging overhead or off in the distance. These positive affirmations will help:
“I dissolve the blueprints for internalizing and taking on other people’s problems.”
“I release the patterns of confusion or putting too much pressure on myself.”
“I dissolve my tendencies to project problems onto myself or others.”
Take all the time you feel you need for the patterns to dissolve into pure sunlight and clear, blue skies. Feel free to move around until the heaviness is completely gone.
“I release the fear of failure and being too hard on myself.”
Please note: Make sure you don’t send destructive energies down into the Earth, she already has too much to handle now. Use the Earth for planting seeds of health, happiness and life – not illness, unhappiness and death!
8. Take a few minutes with this Circle to infuse your body with courage and determination. Imagine that you can surround yourself with a sphere of protection with affirmations like these:
“I am protected and in charge of my own space.”
“I allow others to be in charge of their own space and handle their own problems.”
“I can easily deal with my problems with courage and determination.”
Are there any aspects of your Essential Self that need to be encouraged to take care of this problem with respect – both for yourself and for others?
Redirecting how you’re using your own energy is one of the most powerful ways to solve your part of the problem.
If you have a copy, use The Essential Human manual to help you make simple corrections. Ask for numbers between 1 – 42 and make corrections to each number chart in the order they come to you.
9. What does your heart want to tell you about this situation?
Keep looking at the Circle and ask yourself this question until you hear a clear answer.
“My heart is telling me to ________________________.”
Let that quiet voice of your intuition give you answers to simple questions.
Include the basics like, who is involved? What is going on? Where is it happening? When is it happening? Why is it happening and what is its purpose?
What and how would I best respond to this situation?
10. Take a few moments and see yourself letting go of other people and their problems.
“I surrender other people’s issues, karma and emotions.”
“I send them to wherever they need to go to heal.”
Once that feels complete, call back what ever belongs to you.
“If it’s truly mine and I own it, I can resolve it.“
“I call back what belongs to me so that I can set things right.”
11. Now it’s time to get centered and ask yourself this question:
“What is the most important thing I can do to take care of myself?”
Take the very first answer that comes to you, then place your answer in the center of the Circle like a bull’s eye.
Imagine you can send your attention and energy directly to your answer and then allow the energy to return to you.
Do that for several rounds to start a new pattern.
12. Finish the exercise by asking your Inner Wisdom for some good advice:
“What will help me to follow through on making
a positive difference in this situation?”
Congratulations! Being realistic about whose problem it is and what you can actually do about it is often the missing piece to coming to a resolution.
Now would be a great time to relax and contemplate the advice you have given yourself. Take a walk if you can to help you integrate your thoughts.

Many of you have asked, “There’s so many Games and Exercises here in the Intuitive Learning Circle – how do I know which one is right for me?
Since we’re here to help you develop your intuition, it’s only natural that we would come up with a simple & fun way to decide – using your intuition!
First of all, it’s true that we have quite a few self-healing offerings, so below you’ll find a list of games that pertain to Developing Determination through the Jaguar.

There are 6 categories to choose from ~
I: Cosmos
II: Family
III: Environment
IV: Livelihood
V: Self and new
VI: Romantic Love
Each category has a selection of games listed underneath which are numbered 1, 2 and 3.
The first step is to take a moment and think about what’s going on for you and then look at Jaguar Medicine and ask your heart:
“What category would be most useful for me to look at now?”
Once you have the category number, ask yourself:
“Which number in that category represents the best self healing process for me right now – or is the best place to start?”
Remember to take the very first number that comes to you, because that is your intuitive guidance speaking or your intuition. If more than one number comes up, write them all down in the order they came to you.
Once you have your number, scroll down the list and check out that process. You might be surprised at what you chose, because intuition doesn’t always makes sense at first. However, I suggest that you trust your first response and explore the exercise anyway. See if it pertains to your situation and feels right.
This is the intuitive way to determine which exercise is best for you right now!

1. Make certain you’re changing with the changes.
2. Stay connected with courage and your natural instincts.
3. Recalibrate for balanced prosperity in the midst of DETERIORATION.

Redefine who you are in relationship to your family.
1. Handle irritations before they handle you.
2. Know when you’re being lied to and what you can do about it.

Come From a Grounded Place
How to ADAPT and Come From a Grounded Place in the New Paradigm ~
Many of us are aware that how we experience our environment has a lot to do with how well we’re feeling and how easy or difficult it is to come from a grounded place. That’s especially so when we need to communicate or move forward in a genuinely productive way! The energy of the Cosmos has changed radically and we are being called to ADAPT to a New Paradigm based on common ground.
The purpose of this Mind Exercise is to activate the beneficial energies of the New Paradigm in your environment. Connecting with these energies will help you organize effectively and come from a grounded place.
If you’ve noticed any of the following situations in your environment, try Mind Exercise #7 from Navigating Compassion Fatigue, an online resource from our Soul Oriented Solutions series –

If you feel like you or your environment are:
- Ungrounded or scattered
- Overwhelmed by too much stuff
- Disorganized and confused
- Unstable, unsafe or explosive
- Juggling too many things
- Unproductive – going around in circles
- A magnet attracting negative energies.
Directions: Confirm this is the best formula for you with the SOS Symbol.
Find a quiet place to sit in the center of your space, where you won’t be disturbed for 20 to 30 minutes. The first time you go through this exercise, allow about an hour.
Start by meditating on this symbol that helps you organize your mind around the template for Creating Common Ground.
Next, go through the exercise by reading each message and then gazing gently at the Circle or chart that goes with it for a minute or so. A longer or shorter time may be necessary. Let yourself breathe and relax as much as possible. Don’t worry if the images move around or change in any way. That just means the Circles are working to help you and your environment to come into balance with each other and ground.
Some emotions may come up and when that happens, always visualize the heaviness moving up, out and towards the Light.
During the exercise, you may intuitively feel that an object in the space should be moved or removed completely. Trust your instincts and keep notes. Give yourself permission to let go of anything that could keep you stuck in the past.
Mind Body Integration
For best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of your body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.
Feel free to cross or uncross your arms whenever you intuitively feel you need to!
It helps to know that there are new channels of life force available in the New Paradigm that will help us ADAPT.

Keep this symbol handy to help you integrate with generative life energy governed by the quicker, lighter Element of Air. In addition, there are new communication channels that can help us connect with each other in far safer and life affirming ways.
By contemplating Divine Protection, you’ll be able to intentionally close down harmful channels and open up to the generative life force (chi) that we look for in Feng Shui.
In Chinese, Feng Shui means “wind water”. These are the two elements that move energy for creating life when they’re in balance. When they’re out of balance, they can create all kinds of destructive energy patterns like stagnation, conflict, sudden reversals, poltergeists, collapses and leaks in protection, just to name a few.
Needless to say, transitioning out of the energy channels of the Piscean Age (water) into the new energy channels of the Aquarian Age (air) has been quite a challenge in a myriad of ways.
However, the bottom line is – the sooner we can come from a grounded place in the New Paradigm based on common ground, the better!
If you meditate on Divine Protection with clear intention, it’s possible to shift the energy in almost any environment for the better. Then, once it’s paired with the template for Common Ground, you can stabilize both yourself and the space.
Coming from a grounded place in this way will help you make wiser decisions and organize your life in a way where you can manifest balanced prosperity.
Once you’ve finished going through the entire exercise, take yourself for a gentle walk in nature or have a soak in a hot bath with Epsom or Sea Salt. It’s important to make sure that you’ve cleansed yourself.
Mind Exercise: Come from A Grounded Place
Balanced Prosperity
Gently contemplate the Feng Shui mandala for Balanced Prosperity.
By gently and frequently meditating on this symbol, both your conscious and unconscious mind is given life-affirming direction to keep the bagua or ‘treasures of life’ in mind and to provide information about how they may need to be repaired and updated to get you properly aligned and come from a grounded place.
Connection
- Begin by relaxing while you softly gaze at this Reiki Chakra Key for your Life Path Chakras, located on either side of your Crown Chakra at the top of your head. Use the following affirmation:
“I choose to relax and open up to my true potential.”
Imagine any twisted energy is unwinding and opening up a beneficial connection to the sky above and the ground below.
Presence
2. Take some more time with Four Seasons to breathe deeply.
Pay special attention to those places in your body where you’re feeling pain or discomfort.
Consciously send your breath to those places and let them relax.
Stretch if you need to. Open and close your hands. Notice the time and the space around you.
“I bring myself fully into the present in the New Paradigm.”

Scroll back up to Divine Protection and take a few moments to consciously close down any harmful energy channels in your body or your space.
Do it both crossed and uncrossed over the center line of your body.
Receptivity
3. Once you feel present, ask for peace and harmony to come into your heart and awareness.
Consciously move your energy out of your head and pull it down into your heart and solar plexus area.

Once you feel the shift, close down harmful energy channels again. The more relaxed you are, the better this works.
Change
4. To maintain stability and grounding, are there any old agreements or assumptions you need to change? Raccoon can help you find them by uncovering any old garbage that’s not working anymore and needs to go. Examine your life for any old connections that are stuck and holding you back.
“What’s been working and what hasn’t been working?”
Are you willing to let go of things that are not working? Release any agreements to hold on and take notes about what needs to change.
“I can let go and make the changes necessary for me now.”
Empowerment
5. To ground in the New Paradigm and hold it, you need a strong connection to your spiritual source. You need to be able to take good care of yourself and willing to ask for help. Bring your attention back to your heart and listen to it beating – nice and steady. Affirm to yourself:
“I exist and am empowered through the connection in my Heart.”
“I am empowered to take good care of myself and am willing to ask for help.”
“I connect with my environment through Joy and Gratitude.”
Take all the time you need with this.
Intuition
6. Take time with the Dragonfly Circle to tune into your instinctual nature or gut instincts so you can reconnect and improve your relationship with your environment.
Do you get instinctual messages or intuitive hits about certain areas in the space around you?
Could there be an object that’s holding old energy or keeping you grounded in past unhappiness?
Does something need to move or be added to an area?
If there is, take a moment to make the change now and clear the area with Divine Protection.

Then, come back to your seat in the center of your space and confirm your position with Divine Protection.
Confidence
7. Jaguar Medicine will help you establish a ring of protection around you and your space. Extend a full circle of light in all directions, including above and below.
Take all the time you need to visualize it.
Then, close down negative channels of energy with Divine Protection and continue.
Clear Intention
8. Let go of intentions that cold pull you into agendas that would be harmful to you. Perhaps you’re putting undue pressure on yourself by doing too much or trying to handle a problem that’s not yours to fix. You don’t have to be perfect, sacrifice your well-being or be everything for everyone
You are responsible for yourself and only your part of the situation. What is your part?
What makes sense to do? What would be genuinely helpful in this situation?
Resolve to let any misguided intentions go, like old smoke disappearing into the Light. Then, make sure that you’ve stopped sending energy to them!
Healthy Detachment
9. Confirm that you’ve pulled your energy completely out of abusive or disappointing experiences.
Use this Circle to help you stop tapping into harmful or destructive energies that don’t support you or bring chaos into your environment.

Pull your energy back and shut down any remaining energy channels that are irrelevant or distracting you with Divine Protection.
Healthy Nourishment
10. Now you’re ready to access the most beneficial energies from your environment to support and nourish you with Butterfly Medicine.
You may notice that the energies from some directions are more beneficial for you than others.

Shut down any energy channels that are irrelevant, distracting or even dangerous to you with Divine Protection.
Coherence
11. Your energy field needs coherence to adjust to how the energy works in the New Paradigm. If your current environment is particularly unstable, your energy may need to make adjustments in polarity, vibration, tempo or rhythm.
“I relax and allow my energy to adapt to what’s needed.”
“I expel energies that are harmful and prevent me from grounding.”
Make sure both of your feet are firmly planted on the floor and that the soles of your shoes wouldn’t prevent you from grounding well.
Once the energy subsides in and around you, you’re grounded.
Realization
12. You may have experienced a recent shock. For more clarity, keep looking at the Circle while you relax and think of someone or something that you love very much.
Have you been unknowingly jeopardizing things that matter to you?
If you have, what can you do to set it right?
Add these ideas to your notes.
Clean Up
13. Use the Soul Color Chart to strengthen your Soul energy and differentiate between your energy and the energy of others. Think of an activity you really love and notice if a particular color comes up. See if you can make that color stronger, permeating throughout your field. If you can, you’ve found your Soul Color!
Your Soul Color is a powerful vibration that makes it easier to cleanse and send any clutter or debris up to the Light.
Notice how much better your body feels when you’re using the unique vibration of your Soul.
DECISION
14. Imagine that your Soul can gently turn you around and align you with the direction of your highest good.
Use Piranha Medicine to help you close the pathways in your mind that would lead you into ungrounded, confusing and even dangerous places.
“All holes and harmful pathways are sealed and healed.”
“I follow the protection and guidance of my Soul.”
Redirect
15. Make sure your Heart Center comes back fully into balance again. The changes that are happening aren’t easy. Unfortunately, many are heart breaking. This Reiki Chakra Key can help you connect with your Heart Chakra. Breathe deeply and be gentle.
“I take the time to listen to my heart and reconnect.”
“I release any heaviness to the Light where it can be transformed.”
With a little time, your Heart Center will be able to radiate out like a star again.
“I integrate my true Self with a compassionate and radiant heart.”
Inner Guidance
16. Take some deep breaths and move your body around again. Let your shoulders drop.
Listen to that calm, gentle voice that comes from your heart.
What is it telling you?
Are you ready to ground a new template for the common good?
If you are, put both your feet on the ground again and center yourself in your solar plexus. Connect that with your heart and let their combined energy move through your entire body. Stay with that feeling until it subsides.
Divine Protection
17. Finish by gazing at Divine Protection again to confirm your connection with the new and beneficial communication channels of the New Paradigm.
“My mind and body are open and clear to receive generative life force.”
“All harmful energy channels have been closed down.”
“Divine Protection fills my environment completely in all directions – including above and below.”
Remember that the need to unify in common ground is real! The changes are taking place over time and you will likely need to do this exercise repeatedly. Take yourself for a gentle walk in nature or have a soak in a hot bath with Epsom/Sea Salts to cleanse yourself.

Feng Shui Tips for Handling Recent Changes in Your Environment:

When going through a radical change, it’s a great help to clean out certain areas of our homes and keep an eye on how well the energy is moving. While we’re rearranging things, we can reorganize our intentions to adapt to the changes in our environment and circumstances. When we take the time to do that, we’re allowing a physical and psychological space to open up for new things to come in and help us adjust both inwardly and outwardly.
For example, I have a lot of crystals and a prayer pipe that I consider sacred. Early on in my Feng Shui practice, I got a strong message that I need to regularly clear out my pipe, cleanse those crystals and rearrange other significant objects to accommodate the changes in the I Ching flow. Why is that so important?
— Because crystals, prayer containers and other significant personal objects can hold onto a great deal of energy and old intentions.
In order to keep my mind and energy flexible, I don’t want to be held back by the gravity of those old energies, including those that marked the end of the Piscean Age. Since the Winter Equinox of 2022, the nature of chi’ or life force flowing through the Tao has changed to an Air based flow (Aquarius) rather than the previous Water based flow.
Let this symbol help you make the adjustment needed.
“I close down all harmful energy channels from the old paradigm.”

“I allow my mind and body to acclimate to this lighter, quicker life force.”
“I learn to receive generative life force and use it to communicate with my environment.”
Also, I don’t want to be blocked by old intentions and outdated agreements that aren’t relevant anymore. They only perpetuate inner conflict or confusion, especially now that we’re obviously in a very different space!
For example, when the pandemic started, I got the strong guidance to “change with the changes and still stay grounded.” In the early summer of 2020, my inner guidance was to “bring light and balanced prosperity into my mindset and environment.” at the Winter Solstice I was guided to pray for “safe transition into the New Paradigm”. Now my intention is “I am firmly grounded in the New Paradigm and have Divine Protection.” These are pretty big changes, and I’m sure there will be many more to come!
Big changes in your environment can be supported with the help of Reiki, strong intention and clear crystals.
To cleanse crystals, I gather them up from around my house and property and then place them in a bowl of water mixed with sea salt. Around the full moon, I’m guided to set them outside for a day or two to cleanse. That way, they will get really clear through an infusion of both Sun and Moon light. Then, I set a new strong and focused intention with those crystals, based on what is needed now.
Notice that I didn’t say, “please keep the coronavirus away,” or “please be sure that civil war doesn’t break out.” If I were to set intentions based on things I don’t want to happen, my whole mindset would start to unconsciously fixate on all the uncertainty and fear that these things attract. To make things even worse, the energy in my environment should start to organize around the fixation. That’s exactly opposite of what I want!
I also don’t want to make intentions frivolously or ask for so many new things that I unwittingly create chaos, conflict and confusion.
So, when I set intentions in turbulent times, I calm myself down first. Once the shock is abated and my mind is clear of anxiety, I ask for a life affirming experience that’s general enough to allow positive change to occur and that makes sense under my current circumstances. That part is especially important since we know the changes we’re going through are liable to continue for some time. Then, I set up the energy in my living space to organize around the new intention by mindfully placing the crystals and/or sacred objects as I’m guided.
Once I’ve set my intention in the space, I pay attention to what I start to attract. If I start attracting chaos, conflict or confusion, I know that I need to reassess my intention and reorganize it.
I don’t waste my time beating myself up for having made a mistake or not doing it “perfectly”. After all, this is a whole new energy we’re in. We’re at the very beginning of one Age, while the other has departed entirely! It’s going to take a while for our minds to adjust. Mistakes are going to happen. Just get back up, clear your mind and be willing to let go of your assumptions about how you thought things were going to be.
