Learn to Leave the Poison Behind with Fly Medicine ~

Self-care and Personal Growth through Gifts from the Rainforest:

Fly Medicine - Animal Totems

19. Fly medicine warns us when we are revisiting self-destructive habits. It’s better to empower our best interests – health, creativity and life!

Are you getting sucked into a toxic pattern from the past? If so, what will help?

Healing Action: Close off or expel negative manipulative energy. Stand up for yourself and stop enabling the pull of destructive habits.

Fly Right

The fly lives off the waste and garbage
left by others.
This pest brings bacteria and disease with it,
spreading misfortune and death among the living.
Once you have released poison and toxicity
from your system, leave it behind you.
Do not return again to eat from your own garbage.
It is no longer a part of you and you have no need of it,
no matter how familiar it is.
Right action is about inner direction
and doing what is
in your best self-interest.
Your best self-interest is health, life, and creation.
When you see the fly, consider how you
might be needlessly revisiting
self-destructive habits.

Fly Medicine

A project, a plan or some way of thinking has become a drain to your life force. Stop now and consider what it might be. The Fly is showing up now to let you know that beyond wasting your time, this situation is wasting your energy. Use the Circle to visualize the drain closing down. If you can do this successfully, your energy level will soon return to normal.
Traditional principles around taking care of yourself have been blocked. You may be feeling hopeless and drained. Perhaps your ego is saying that change for the better is too hard, that you aren’t worth taking care of, so why bother? Nothing could be further from the truth.
Whoever first told you that you were not worth taking care of was really just expressing how they felt about themselves by listening to their own ego. When you believe the small mind, you fall back into destructive habits that have caused you no end of sorrow in the past. Fly medicine is here to remind you to avoid the trap by releasing your agreements with those old voices and habits.
You’re having difficulty seeing through all the garbage and realizing there is a way out. Make yourself a priority. Agree to take care of yourself. Seal up those drains and re-direct all that energy to the care and feeding of your Soul!
It may be that you are putting up with abuse from others. If so, it’s time to take courage, speak up and set some healthy boundaries. Once you have accomplished this, never go back. There is nothing there for you.
