Many times people can have memory problems when they’re under a lot of emotional stress, especially if they’re highly sensitive. Why is that and what can be done to help? You are probably overwhelmed by the uncertainty and ungrounded by the sheer amount of information that you feel you have to process. Next, go through this short mind exercise to understand how emotional stress might be causing memory lapses in your case and what you can do to help yourself.

Emotional Stress Read each step and then gaze softly at its Circle, one at a time. Give yourself permission to look at the Circles in any way or from any angle that you like. All you have to do is stay relaxed. If you’re drawn to focus on the center of a Circle, great!. If you come up with a message, an image or instinctively want to trace over the lines, let your imagination guide you. A playful approach reduces stress and opens up possibilities so you can look at your situation from different perspectives.

Developing intuition in this way enhances your personal growth and can keep those creative juices flowing for better mind function!

How Are You Experiencing Disorientation?

1. We’re going to look at several possible reasons why emotional stress might be affecting your memory. One reason could be that you are disoriented due to a sudden recent change. You could be picking up on other people’s stress. Another possibility could be that your mind has been exposed to an overwhelming amount of information. It helps to be aware if that’s the case.

Let this Circle help you gather up any important information involved. Your unconscious mind knows what’s pertinent and what’s not.

You might want to jot down any impressions you notice. However, don’t be surprised if nothing definite comes to you. There may not be any words because the unconscious mind is not linear. 

Just make note of what your experience is for now.

 

How Would You Like to Feel?

2. The hypothalamus is a part of your brain that regulates homeostasis. Through it, you have the ability to maintain inner balance and a calm state of mind. It also governs your sleep cycles and emotional behavior.

Relax and breathe for a minute or two while you allow this Circle to help you balance and nourish your hypothalamus. 

 

What Would You Like to do Differently?

3. The hippocampus is a different area of your brain that’s involved with memory development, spacial and directional skills. 

Repeat what you just did in the previous step. Relax and breathe while you gaze at this Circle to balance your hippocampus. 

Once you’ve really relaxed with it, check in with a question:

“Is there something I’ve forgotten that’s important?”

Continue with your mind exercise.

 

What Would Bring You More Ease?

Emotional Stress and the Third Eye4. There’s another part of your brain that taps into the wisdom of your Soul. Some call it your Third Eye Chakra. Through it, the hippocampus and hypothalamus can connect and work together to create coherent thoughts. Intuition and common sense can then blossom and communicate meaningful insights to you.

Keep relaxed and gaze softly at the Circle with each affirmation:

“My mind is connected and balanced.”

“My common sense and intuition are working together.”

“I receive meaningful information about my situation.”

“My mind helps me to reduce stress and integrate joy into my life.”

 

What Would Help You Tune into Your Heart?

5. They say it’s helpful to think with our heads and our hearts. Take a few moments to pay attention to the center of your chest to make that connection. Breath into the Circle and let the energy of your heart connect and expand.

 

What Would Be Helpful and What would Be Harmful?

6. It’s possible that you’re dehydrated or not getting the right nutrition. While you gently focus on this Circle, ask yourself:

“Is there something I could eat or drink that would help me?”

“Is there something I’m eating or drinking too much of?”

 

What Is My heart Saying?

7. It could be that things are just moving too fast and your mind is trying to keep up. Take a moment to slow down and tune into your heart. Ask yourself:

“What is my heart telling me?”

“Am I worried about something (physical, financial, family issue, etc)?”

“Is there anything I can do that could actually help the situation?”

“What have I been doing? Has that helped? What do I feel?”

 

What Can You Actually Do?

8. Use this Circle to focus in on specific actions you can take that would help you now. What would be genuinely helpful in this situation?

Is there something you can do that would be genuinely helpful to others?

 

What would Life Be Like Without This Emotional Stress?

9. Sometimes you can just let excess thoughts go like a bunch of balloons you’re holding onto. See if you can imagine letting them go. Watch them disappear into a bright afternoon Sun.

Just keep letting them go and letting yourself relax under the afternoon Sun. Take all the time you like. It’s okay to rest.

 

How Will Life Be Better Without This Emotional Stress?

10. Your physical body is the foundation for your vitality and your instinct to take care of yourself. Clearing energy, especially in your lower body, will give you strength and support to make necessary changes. Feel your lower body and ask yourself:

“What would I like to change?”

 

How Can You Ground?

11. Put both feet on the floor to help you ground. Take whatever time you need.

Once you’re centered and grounded, ask yourself:

“Do I have the connections and resources I need to resolve this stress?”

“What would be involved? Is anything missing?”

There’s always more than one way to do things, what new way comes to mind in this case?

 

12. Rest with this symbol until your mind feels open and clear.

Once you feel calm and ready to move on, go back to Step 3 to review the question: Is there something you’ve forgotten that’s important?

Begin by taking a few deep breaths. 2020 was quite a stressful year and you still may be feeling it. Use this Circle to help you relax and release some of that tension. Releasing tension can do a lot to prevent or relieve many symptoms of ptsd.

Did 2020 contain a lot of CONFLICT, anxiety or frustration for you? Did you feel a lot of judgement? Where you RESTRAINED from doing things that were important to you at the time? If so, relax and imagine that the lines in this first Circle are softening and melting it away. Let your shoulders drop and your jaw unclench. Every time you take a deep breath, that feeling loosens up. Take all the time you need with this.

 

Imagine you can open the doors and windows and get a breath of fresh air!

Emotional Calm

Continue breathing and if you can, imagine you can actually relax the tension in the space around you. Go ahead and move around or stretch if you need to.

 

Let your senses come back into balance. Some of them may be turned up too high. Some may have shut down completely. You can relax them now.

You might imagine that you’re lying next to a beautiful lake or river, enjoying a gentle breeze, with the sunlight dancing on the water. How refreshing!

When you’re ready, notice how different the energy feels now rather than how it did. You can let that go now.

 

Okay. Now we’re ready to dive in with the main question:

What did you learn from 2020 and the Year of the Rat?

What did you learn about yourself and how you react to rapid DETERIORATION?

 

Have you taken those lessons to heart?

What would you like to decide differently about dealing with change? How about taking care of others? What have you decided about standing up for yourself and maintaining healthy boundaries? How will you now deal with deception, neglect or misuse of authority?

 

What are your priorities after all of this? What matters the most?

What wisdom does your Soul want you to take with you?

 

What intentions need to change for you after that experience?

 

What was the area of most personal growth for you?

Did you expand yourself in any way? Is that serving you now? Can you expand even more or is it time to integrate?

 

Are there parts of you that are still caught up in what happened?

If so, gently and patiently pull your energy back from that experience.

 

Let yourself relax for a few minutes while you bring your energy in and find that connection in your heart center.

What have you learned about your personal power? Do you feel more or less empowered in that way?

Ask your Soul to help you integrate all that you’ve learned and use it to empower your highest good.

“I empower the wisdom I’ve gained from this experience.”

 

Finally, gaze at this symbol and consciously close any harmful or chaotic energy channels that may still be open from your experience of that time.

“I close down all harmful energy channels.”

Be sure to do that both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body.

You’ll know that the harmful channels are closed when the chaos stops. Once that happens, gently and patiently acknowledge your new relationship with generative life flow that exists now to support you.

“I allow myself to receive generative life force.”

 

Yes. 2020 was a rough year. Congratulations on all that you’ve learned from it!

Advanced Chakra Healing and Clearing ~

Recommended Transformation Games to Help you adjust and Keep You Moving with the Flow In the New Paradigm, Rather than Against it.

Recent changes in the flow of the Universe have affected us in so many ways that we do not understand yet. Because the chakras react to and reflect environmental factors, it’s important that we pay attention to how well they are functioning and proactively rebalance them when needed.

Navigate Reversals During Retrograde

The biggest issue during this  period is the tendency for chakras (and other energy systems) to suddenly start running in reverse or shut down completely. This backward movement can cause serious physical problems that come on suddenly.

Add to that the increase in violence, chronic health imbalances caused by Covid 19 and the overwhelmed state of our collective mental/emotional health and you’ve got a serious situation that should not be ignored.

For that reason, Kuan Yin has asked me to bring back a format I used to utilize so that I can post Mind Exercises and Transformation Games that are likely to address conflicts in each of the Primary Chakras. It is my hope that they will help you keep your chakras moving in the right direction, free of conflict and reversals. Here are her suggested intentions:

“I am centered and balanced.”

Lets begin with the Root Chakra and move up:

1st Chakra - Root Chakra Balancing

“Our root chakra is red and governs the physical body, our instincts and the assumptions we have about life. It’s located at the very base of the trunk of your body.

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the Root needs are physiological – air, food, water, shelter, warmth, sex, sleep and having adequate methods of communication.

Gaze softly at the Root Chakra Key above and then ask yourself:

“Are my physiological needs being met? Am I giving them the proper priority, position and attention for my life to be in balance?”

Do I need chakra balancing here? if so, what would help me to bring my Root Chakra in balance?

Kuan Yin invites you to release past karmic patterns of oppression or abuse out of your Root Chakra and replace them with new patterns of Divine Love. 

Next up is the Second Chakra (also known as the Spleen Chakra):

2nd Chakra - Spleen Chakra Balancing“The second energy center is referred to here as the spleen chakra because it is deeply connected to our emotions, digestion and immunity. Its color is orange and is located 2-3 inches down from the navel.

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the second level needs are safety oriented – protection from the elements, security, order, law, stability and freedom from fear.

Gaze softly at the Second Chakra Key above for a minute or so. Then ask yourself:

“Are my safety and security needs being met? Am I giving them the proper priority, position and attention for my life to be in balance?”

Do I need chakra balancing here? if so, what would help me to bring my 2nd Chakra in balance?

Kuan Yin wants you to check in with how well you’re maintaining your sense of internal safety>

Continue by addressing the Third Chakra needs:

3rd Chakra - Solar Plexus Chakra Balancing“The solar plexus chakra is the center of who we are and who we think we are, so it is fitting that its color is a bright yellow and is located in the solar plexus.

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the third level needs include love and belongingness needs – friendship, intimacy, affection and love from work group, family, friends, and romantic relationships.

Gaze softly at the Third Chakra Key above for a minute or so. Then ask yourself:

“Are my love and belongingness needs being met? Am I giving them the proper priority, position and attention for my life to be in balance?”

Do I need chakra balancing here? if so, what would help me to bring my Third Chakra in balance?

Kuan Yin suggests that balancing your intuition will help you get centered and balanced>

The Heart Center and Basic Balance:

Fourth Chakra - Heart Chakra Balancing“Our heart chakra is the bridge between our bodies and the spiritual world. It is where our thoughts and beliefs about love meet the physical expression of it.

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the fourth level needs include esteem needs – achievement, self-love, independence, status, dominance, prestige, self-approval, self-respect and respect from others. 

Gaze softly at the Fourth Chakra Key below for a minute or so. Then ask yourself:

“Are my compassion and esteem needs being met? Am I giving them the proper priority, position and attention for my life to be in balance?”

Do I need chakra balancing here? if so, what would help me to bring my Fourth Chakra in balance?

Kuan Yin wants you to empower your self esteem and be grounded in the truth>

Consider the Fifth Chakra and the Power of Your Word: 

Fifth Chakra - Throat Chakra Balancing“The energy of the throat chakra is about what you put out into the world – having a voice. It’s about speaking your truth and is blue in color, as in ‘true blue’.

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the fifth level needs include cognitive needs such as knowledge, meaning, expression, self-mastery and self-awareness.

Gaze softly at the Fifth Chakra Key above for a minute or so. Then ask yourself:

“Are my cognitive needs being met? Am I able to ask for what I need and straightforward in my requests? Am I giving them the proper priority, position and attention for my life to be in balance?”

Do I need chakra balancing here? if so, what would help me to bring my Fifth Chakra in balance?

Kuan Yin suggests wants you to realize the awesome power that your words hold> 

The Sixth Chakra and the Power of Your Perception:

Sixth Chakra - Third Eye Chakra Balancing“The third eye chakra contains the energy of insight and wisdom. Located in the center of the forehead just above the eyebrow, this chakra is associated with the color purple.

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the sixth level needs include aesthetic needs – the appreciation of and search for beauty, balance and form, etc. Kuan Yin would add the need for spiritual insight and understanding.

Gaze softly at the Sixth Chakra Key above for a minute or so. Then ask yourself:

“Are my needs for creativity and spiritual understanding being met? Am I giving them the proper priority, position and attention for my life to be in balance?”

Do I need chakra balancing here? if so, what would help me to bring my Sixth Chakra in balance?

Kuan Yin wants you to be sure you’re taking good care of yourself>

The Seventh Chakra and Self-actualization: 

Seventh Chakra - Crown Chakra Balancing“The crown chakra is our connection to spirit. This is the energy center that connects us with divine inspiration. Its color is white as it contains all things and it can cast a golden ring when in states of ecstasy.

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs the seventh level needs include self actualization  needs – realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences.

Gaze softly at the Seventh Chakra Key above for a minute or so. Then ask yourself:

“Are my self-actualization needs being met? Are my fulfillment needs blocked in any way? Am I taking action and giving them the proper priority, position and attention for my life to be in balance?”

Do I need chakra balancing here? if so, what would help me to bring my Seventh Chakra in balance?

Kuan Yin would like you to make a more direct connection to your own spiritual guidance>


In conclusion, Kuan Yin recommends that you take the time to understand and adapt to all the changes going on.

The suggestion is to disengage from extremes or opinionated attitudes and then follow the guidance that comes from within instead. In almost any situation, if you are able to walk the middle road between extremes, there will be improvement in whatever you undertake.

(MODESTY)

“Nature balances itself with plagues, droughts, and cycles of overabundance, and human nature strives toward MODERATION in its tendency to reduce the excesses of the over powerful and to augment the needs of those who are desperately wanting.

Worldly matters can now be brought to success through MODERATION. Leaders should strive to firmly carry their objectives through to completion, not with a show of extraordinary force but with the continuing sincerity that springs from their true natures… The self-evident, self-actualizing demonstration of purpose is the mark of great leaders acting with MODERATION.

In social relationships, avoid extremes. People who are overly intelligent or overly ignorant tend to extremes in their behavior and attitudes. You should now concentrate on establishing harmonious equilibrium with your fellow man and bring MODERATION and order to social institutions. This not only means avoiding radicalism and ostentatious values, but also tolerating weaknesses and inferior elements. “Everything in moderation” means just that.

…This inner equilibrium aligns you with the tao, thus bringing you into harmony with forces that can work for you.”

Letting Go and Moving On

Help for Moving On from Deteriorating Relationships

Transformation Game - Moving OnMany people are having a difficult time getting grounded and staying clear in the New Paradigm of cooperation and equality because they are getting pulled out of the present by emotional attachments to the past. You can get centered and remedy this situation by going through  Kuan Yin’s I Ching Reading for moving on.

“If you are experiencing a situation where there is:

  • a great deal of incompetence
  • argumentative persons
  • societal discord
  • a break up in friendship or family relations
  • refusal to participate in cooperative ventures or
  • depressed health due to a toxic environment

The situation is definitely in the flow of the I Ching Hexagram #23 – DETERIORATION.

In cases such as these, forceful displays of power will absolutely backfire. Stay strong within yourself. Do nothing to push your personal agenda regarding this particular situation and be very conservative with any investment of time or money. Doing so would probably result in loss.

The best things to do when dealing with DETERIORATING situations is to take care of yourself very sensibly and to find acceptance of the times within yourself. Be generous and kind to those you care about. Keep your focus on important opportunities that are available to you now.

Keep emotional reactions to a minimum and refrain from jumping to conclusions. Meditate, surrender to the fact that all things must end. Know that eventually there will come a change for the better.

If you deal with a situation of DETERIORATION with an attitude of “I’m going to fix this” or “I need to understand why these people are thinking or behaving this way,” notice how you’re actually giving the situation more fuel, rather than letting nature take its course. It could be your attachment to the situation that’s keeping it from dying out on its own. When you let go, Nature can take its course. In most cases, the negativity will feed on itself and die out naturally. 

Here’s some help through a Transformation Game called “Letting Go and Moving On.”

Gently gaze at these Intuitive Learning Circles one at a time and consider the question or affirmation that goes with each Step. This process helps you to become aware of what’s bothering you, so that you can make a different choice to use your energy more productively and in tune with your Inner Guidance.

 Step 1:

What is a relationship around you now that is DETERIORATING? Trust the message that comes through from your deepest, wisest guidance.

Step 2:

Enhance your inner guidance by calming your senses and bringing them into balance. Some may be turned up too high and some may be too low. Relax and allow your eyes to rest gently on the Circle below.

Mind Body IntegrationTake some deep breaths and let your shoulders drop. Adjust the volume to your senses. Do that both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body to achieve greater mind body integration.

 

Step 3:

What is the emotion that tends to pull you into that energy?

Once you have identified what you’re feeling, take a moment and just relax into it. Could it be a phobia, an obsession or a compulsion?

“I accept that this emotional state is present and that it must change. All things eventually change.”

If you can, rub your shoulders and neck for a minute or two. The more you relax and accept what you’re feeling, the easier it will release and dissipate.

 

Step 4:

Release your agreement to remain connected with that energy or the emotions it transmits.

“I detach from energy imprints that are foreign or harmful to me.”

“I send them to the Sun where they can safely be transmuted.”

 

Step 5:

Bring your awareness now to your body. Go to your solar plexus area and open your third chakra, the home to your Essence and “gut instincts.”  

Let go of any toxic energy and bring the chakra into balance.

 

Step 6:

Bring your awareness to your Heart Center. Allow this Reiki Chakra Key to open and balance it.

Keep relaxing and breathing into it. Eventually, you will be able to feel life energy radiating out. The light of your Heart Chakra is shining!

 

Step 7.

Gaze softly at this Circle that connects you with the energy and empowerment of your Soul. Imagine that your energy system can adapt to the changes that are needed. Continue to relax and breathe as you use this affirmation:

“When it comes to the situation of _________, I exist and am empowered to manifest my highest good.”

 

Step 8:

Allow yourself to connect with your Soul’s unique vibration and energy. Continue to relax and breathe as you use this affirmation:

“I am resonating with the vibration of my Soul.”

“I strengthen my unique gifts and talents.”

 

Step 9:

Use this Circle to help you detach from negative energies around your situation.

“I release all attachments and energy signatures that are not from my Soul.” 

“I detach from destructive energies, lies, curses and illnesses.”

These may include energies from other people, even family members.

 

Step 10:

Consciously close down any destructive energy channels that are coming from the DETERIORATING situation.

“I am no longer connected to that DETERIORATING situation.”

 

Step 11.

Now, get fully present. Use this affirmation to help you:

“I live in the present and deal with what is.”

If you’re having trouble getting present, it can help to close your fingers into fists and open them again, several times. If you get overwhelmed or feel a strong emotion come up, go back to Step #2 and repeat the process to relax and dissipate the emotion.

 

Step 12:

Now that you are present, ask your deepest wisest guidance:

“What is an action I can take that will help me to move on?”

Take as much time as you need to reorganize your thoughts and energy around positive action.

 

Step 13:

Consciously re-direct your energy and attention toward a situation you want to encourage instead. Move your attention and energy away from the DETERIORATING situation.

“I turn my energy toward productive activities and plans.”

 

Step 14:

Use this symbol to consciously release any remaining mental, emotional or spiritual baggage that is interfering with your freedom. 

You can visualize them as dark clouds or entanglements that you can send to the Light to be purified. Stay with it until you feel they are completely gone.

Step 15:

Finish the game by closing off the pathways in your mind that lead back to the DETERIORATING situation.

“I let go and seal off the ways I prolong or maintain suffering for myself or anyone else.”

Congratulations!

Having the faith that you don’t need to be in control of a DETERIORATING situation is a big help in coming to terms with change and moving on in a positive way.

Healing Emotional Shock

Any person who is going through serious loss could experience emotional shock.

Healing Emotional ShockThe symptoms of emotional shock are disorientation, numbness, mental confusion or fragmentation. A person may even disconnect and leave their body. This includes people who are witness to traumatic experiences in some way. 

Note: If you have just gone through a serious physical disruption in your life, like the recent fires in New Mexico, please go to Resolving Shock from Traumatic Events.

These are all ways that the unconscious mind protects us during a traumatic event:

  • Feeling stuck, numb, lost or helpless
  • Unable to rest or relax
  • Caught in a blank or fixed state of mind
  • Waking up at night worried, with obsessive thoughts
  • Reliving painful experiences
  • Alternately feeling trapped and shattered.

The following mind exercise uses the Intuitive Learning Circle method for healing emotional shock ~

Emotional ShockRheanni Lightwater - Resolving ShockSometimes people who’ve just received bad news or experienced a traumatic event will tell you that they’re fine and not to worry about them. That’s because one of the main symptoms of being in shock is not being aware of being in shock. Why is that? During a shock, the mind goes blank as a form of protection.

The shock response is natural and not a sign of spiritual, mental or emotional weakness. It is a physiological event. Nevertheless, if the person doesn’t get a chance to get grounded in their body again – or if they’re not able to – serious problems may develop. Blocked energy and a constant state of fight or flight takes its toll over time. Statements like: “I can’t think straight,” “my life was shattered” or “I feel disconnected” describe the experience of emotional shock.

If any of the above seems familiar, you can go through this mind exercise step by step to help you access your own innate healing abilities and bring yourself back into balance.

Simply follow the directions and see if you can free up some of the confusion and conflict that comes from shock. Here’s an example of how it works. Simply gaze softly at the Circle while you contemplate each of these positive affirmations:

“I reclaim and balance my five senses.”

“I focus them to be present and aware of my body.”

“I use them to become aware of my environment and what’s important to me right now.”

“I focus on positive actions that benefit my well-being and happiness.”

For best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of the body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.

Let yourself breathe and relax as much as possible. Don’t worry if the images move around or change in any way. That just means the Circles are working and that your mind and body are relaxing.
Be sure to go through the entire formula and at the end, give yourself time to rest and integrate.


Healing Emotional Shock and Confusion

Step One:

Take several deep breaths and relax while you look at this Circle that releases shock and inner conflict.

Imagine you can use it to focus in on a conflict or painful experience that’s blocking your way. If your mind is blank, focus on how “blank” it is. You may get a conscious image or message, or you may not.

Once you have a sense that your mind has found the blockage, imagine that it’s like an iceberg and the Sun is melting it away with a beautiful beam of light. Allow it to melt until it’s completely gone.

Check for other blockages or conflicts that you can do the same with.

Step Two:

The next step is to bring your senses into balance so that you can see and hear things without the distortion that often accompanies shock.

As you breathe deeply, let this Circle help you to adjust the volume and pitch of your senses to just the right level for you.

Soon you will be able to hear that “calm, gentle voice” inside that reminds you about what matters the most to you:

“I see things as they really are. My senses are balanced. I reconnect with what matters the most.”

Step Three:

If your gut feels tight or uncomfortable, use this Circle to help you relax in your solar plexus and get back into balance there. Your solar plexus is that soft place in your belly where your ribs go up. Just take a nice breath and feel it relax as you say to yourself:

“It’s safe. I feel safe and more relaxed with every breath.”

Step Four:

Sometimes a person who’s had an emotional shock will be disoriented and feel a bit “out of their body.” In case that’s happening with you, take a few minutes to consciously bring yourself back into your body.

“I am at home in my heart. I am inside myself.”

You can open and close your hands. Move your fingers and wiggle your toes around. Notice the time and where you are. These actions all help you recover from emotional shock.

Step Five:

The next thing is to make sure you’re grounded. Without proper grounding, you could get frantic, distracted and confused. That’s not what you want. What you decide to do matters now more than ever!

Let this Circle for grounding on the Earth help you. Place both feet on the ground and your hands on each knee while you use these affirmations:

“I uproot whatever is confusing me. I decide to get grounded. The Earth supports me.”

Take all the time you need with this.

Step Six:

Oftentimes, healing emotional shock and confusion requires a change in priorities. There may be certain plans, ideas or habitual patterns that are no longer relevant or constructive. Certain roles may get suddenly reversed. You can use this symbol for dissolving destructive blueprints to help you identify them and dissolve whatever is confusing you.

Actively imagine that the negative patterns in your mind are like heavy clouds or a jumbled maze of fears and nightmares.

Once you have the image, bring the pure light of the Sun in and dissolve the maze completely.

You’ll know that you’re done when you can see yourself standing in a beautiful open field with clear blue skies all around.

Step 7:

Be sure to seal and heal any holes, leaks or openings in your energy field. Leaky energy may open you up to danger or allow harmful energies to attach to you. It can also leave you feeling drained and exhausted.

As you gaze at the Circle, imagine harmful leaks and openings are closing as if they were never there.

“All holes are healed and sealed.”

“I follow the protection of healthy direction.”

 

“I close up any energy drains so that I may recover my strength.”  

“I let go of old habits that are causing me harm.”

 

Bring your attention to the area that surrounds your body.

“I strengthen the protection of my auras around me.”

“I feel protected and safe in my body.”

Step 8.

To finish this exercise, let your heart recover. This Circle will help you to balance your heart energy and clear away any residual heaviness. Breathe deeply and take your time.

“I feel the heaviness lifting up out of my heart.”

“I let it go and send it to the Sun where it can be transformed.”

“I have the strength and resilience to shine my light.”

Now that you’re finished with the exercise, consider taking a nice walk outside. Nothing grounds you like being in nature after an emotional shock.

Through many centuries and contributions from shamans and master teachers, including Lau Tzu and Confucius, the Book of Change was developed into a full philosophy for applying beneficial human conduct to varying circumstances. Have we lost our free will? POTENTIAL ENERGY is available and could be used for “ambitious and far reaching endeavors.”

The I Ching (or Book of Change) entered Hexagram #26 POTENTIAL ENERGY on Nov. 1st and should remain with us for until about Nov. 27th. However, the collective mindset in the USA is either still caught up in the CONFLICT of the past several years or is too exhausted to put the influx of energy to good use!
How can we get back on our feet and work towards solutions, rather than getting bogged down in our emotional reactions? Is there a way to catch a ride on the forward momentum to greater heights of #26 POTENTIAL ENERGY?

When we’re feeling anxiety, it’s usually directly related to whatever level of uncertainty we’re experiencing. In normal times, managing anxiety has been an individual matter and has to do with being okay with not knowing what’s going to happen.

However, due to the pandemic and other environmental challenges, we are all experiencing existential levels of disorientation and uncertainty, which in turn increases our collective levels of anxiety. None of us knows what’s going to happen next. Whether it be how to interact with our social networks, following new procedures or handling economic stress, being able to focus our attention on something positive may simply seem out of the question.

These feelings can come on suddenly and be extremely visceral! For example, the other day I was planning a trip out and in anticipation, my thoughts started to spin, which, in turn, elevated the emotions I was feeling. Then, my breathing got shallow and my heart began to race.

Managing AnxietyIn a matter of moments, I had gone from neutral to being scattered in a tempest of collective emotions: fear, unhappiness, anxiety… and who knows what else!

Fortunately, because I’ve always been more sensitive to these sorts of experiences, I knew to quickly release my agreement to buy into it. Then, when I had more time, I went through this centering exercise to pull myself out from the malaise and center myself in the New Paradigm again.

Managing Anxiety in the Midst of Collective Fear uses affirmations and the Intuitive Learning Circles that can help when you are:

  • Picking up on anxiety around you
  • Getting anxious about an important decision
  • Being pulled in too many directions
  • Overstimulated or feeling under attack
  • Feeling dizzy or overwhelmed
  • Unable to follow through due to anxiety.

Set aside between fifteen and thirty minutes. Start by reading the directions: Gaze at each Circle for approximately two minutes. A longer or shorter time may be necessary. Let yourself breathe and relax as much as possible.

Here’s an example of how the Circles can help you restore balance when you’re managing anxiety:

Contemplate the positive affirmations that go with this Circle for a minute or so:

“I bring my senses into balance.”

“I focus them so that I can feel calmer and concentrate on what’s important.”

“I use them to help me be more aware of my surroundings and what I’m doing.”

“I focus on thoughts and actions that are genuinely beneficial.”

The Circle may seem to move, spin or even change color. That means that it’s working. Just keep breathing and let the energy move. Once it calms down, your emotional state may improve as well. Then you’ll be ready to continue with the exercise.


Mind Body Integration

Mind Body Integration - Self-care for lossFor best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of your body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.

Feel free to move at anytime in any way to help you embody your experience!


Managing Anxiety

This exercise will help you slow down, pull your thoughts and energy together so that you can communicate your intentions clearly.

Step One: Clarity

Breathe in and exhale. Gently gaze at the Circle and affirm to yourself:
“I organize my body and mind to have healthy boundaries
and strong protection.”

“Taking good care of myself is important.”

 

Step Two – Balance

The Balance Chakra is located on your Sacrum, better known as your Tail Bone. When this  energy center is in balance it’s much easier to connect with stability and the natural flow of life or “the Tao.” 

It may feel like you’re all off balance or whirling like a top. Keep breathing and let this Circle help you get more balanced again.

Pay special attention to your tailbone.

 

Step Three – Protection

Continue to breathe and put yourself in a mental landscape that’s very safe, calm and peaceful.
You are completely protected here.

Let your mind imagine a soft breeze gently blowing busy or anxious thoughts away like leaves, swirling up and disappearing into the Sun.

 

Step Four ~ Clarity

Let this Circle help you turn the volume down on your senses. They could be turned up too high. You can calm down and see things as they are in the present. Move if you need to. Let your shoulders drop.

“I can see the light in a dark situation.”

A nice side benefit to balancing your senses in this way is noticing that you feel more balanced and your emotions are calming down. Practice both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body.

“I enjoy this calm sensation and remember it.”

 

Step Five – Slow Motion

Your mind might be hurried, spinning or frenzied, so let this Circle help you imagine that everything’s slowing down. 
It’s okay to slow down… moving in slow motion.


Again, do that both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body. If you like, you can imagine a ball of string slowly unwinding.

 

Step Six – Trust

Let your belly relax where your ribs go up in the front.
It’s okay for you to relax there and breathe as deeply as you want.

Get yourself centered and balanced.

It’s okay for you to just be. Things are getting sorted out now.

 

Step Seven – Release

Help your body to release physical and emotional toxins by relaxing with this Chakra Key that improves the function of your kidneys. Use this positive affirmation:

“Letting go is a relief.”

 

Step Eight – Steadfast

Use this Circle to focus in on your heart.
Your heartbeat is steady and getting calmer by the minute.

“I am okay.”

 

Step Nine – Breath

Let this Circle help you open up your breath now.
Your lungs work together with your heart to keep oxygen flowing through you.

“I’m breathing in the breath of life and exhaling _____________.”

 

Step Ten – Equilibrium

It’s important to keep breathing.
Your diaphragm works together with your heart and lungs to help you breathe.
You really are okay. Your breathing is okay.

“I breathe deeply into my belly and resonate with the breath of life.”

 

Step Eleven – Resolution

As you gaze at this Circle, you can deactivate the overstimulated parts of your brain. Just keep breathing and say to yourself:

“I am calming down. Everything is relaxing.”

 

Step Twelve – Integration

Hara lines are like tiny webs of light that connect the chakras. Sometimes they are broken due to trauma, toxicity or sudden changes in the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight).

“The hará lines between my chakras and healed and connected, like a golden web of light.”

“I organize my consciousness around healthy boundaries and strong protection.”

 

Step Thirteen – Synchronize with Your Heart Center

Gaze softly at the Key and allow your heart center to open, relax and expand. You can even imagine a warm energy radiating out of the center of your chest and as that light moves out, you find that all kinds of anxiety, sorrow and heaviness is easily released to the Sun. Letting go – recycling into new life and inspiration.

“My heart chakra is letting go of harmful patterns so that it can synchronize with health, happiness and positive life flow.”

 

Step Fourteen – Emotional Freedom

Dissolve your connection to the mental and emotional malaise that’s behind our collective anxiety. Use this symbol for dissolving destructive blueprints to clear the patterns from your mental continuum and send them to the Sun to be purified. 

“I dissolve destructive patterns that interfere with my health. I send them to the Light to be purified.”

Then, collapse the energetic sewers that spread the malaise.

Close the doors in your mind that lead back to collective anxiety and fear.

Step Fifteen – Ground and Center in the New Paradigm

Soul Oriented Solutions: A Gentle Meditation about Emotional Stress and Self-care for Loss ~

Self-care for LossMany people are experiencing deep levels of anxiousness, distress and fear around our current situation due to a variety of events. These feelings can come on suddenly and
be very overwhelming. You might have lost a relative, a job or an important friendship. You could be facing a health challenge or even a loss in your purpose and sense of self.  Or, you may be sitting on the sidelines, watching someone you love suffer while you feel at a loss for something helpful to do. In situations like these, it can take a while to regain your balance. What are some ways to provide self-care for loss and bring some level of emotional relief?

If you can find a way to tune into your deepest resources, you’ll discover that you’re never completely alone, even in your darkest hours.

  • Stressed over a lost job or income
  • Grieving a loss of any kind
  • Feeling pulled into a negative state of mind
  • Recovering from an abusive experience – past or present
  • Dealing with a serious or long-term illness
  • Preparing for surgery
  • Coming to terms with tragedy, loss or death.

Here’s an example of how the Circles can help you restore balance.

Simply gaze softly at the image while you contemplate the positive affirmations that go with it for for a minute or so. Relax and breathe:

“I am filled with compassion for the suffering of myself and others.”

“I open my heart to courage and the possibility of healing.”

Strong emotions or insights may come up. The image may move, rotate, vibrate or change color. Don’t worry. That happens sometimes. It just means it’s working to help you feel better. Once the energy calms down a bit, you can move on to the remaining Circles with each of their affirmations to continue the process.

Your heartfelt intention is important and needs to be communicated. Use this Reiki Chakra Key to help you connect your prayers with your heart. Focus in on the Master Chakras located on each hand between the thumb and the index finger and let them get open and balanced. Then, imagine you can connect them with your heart. These affirmations can help:

“My prayers are connecting with my heart center.”

“I ask to receive guidance, clarity and healing from my Inner Wisdom.”

You might want to journal some of your thoughts so that you can speak with a trusted counselor or friend about what comes up. If so, get out some paper and something to write with as you go through the steps.

Step One: Asking for Help

Breathe in deeply, all the way to your belly while you look at this Circle. 

If you could ask for something that would help you feel better, what would that be? Place your request in the center, open space of this Circle and imagine you can send your breath to it.

 

Step Two – Support

Imagine that you can bring healing and release into all parts of your body, mind and spirit while you continue to breathe.

Miracles - Self-care for Loss

 

Step Three ~ Peace

What do you think is the main difficulty or burden you’re dealing with right now?
Are you ready to let go of that burden and find a solution? 
If not, why not?

 

Step Four – Release

 If you can, imagine that difficulty or burden is beginning to melt and soften up. You can release the tension around anything that’s bothering you right now. Your shoulders are dropped. Your jaw is relaxed. Hardened thoughts are melting.

Keep melting the tension until it’s all gone.


Remember to do that both crossed and uncrossed.

 

Step Five – Soul Vision

Consider what your life could be without this difficulty. What would it be like if those burdens were lifted? Can you imagine it?

Sense the experience as much as you can in detail. See it, hear it, taste it, smell it and feel it.

 

Step Six – Remove Your Burdens

Imagine that you can send all those burdens to where ever they need to go to resolve themselves. Feel the heaviness lifting up and off of you.

You have done the best that you can under the circumstances.

 

Step Seven: Inner Guidance

Gently contemplate this symbol to help you gain insight and spiritual direction about appropriate things to do in this situation.

Imagine you can call upon Love to help heal the situation. Is there something that Love would tell you to do?
Ask to be instructed by Love as you continue along your journey.

 

Step Eight – Balance

Breathe again.
Feel a calmness coming over you.
You feel calmer and calmer with every breath.

 

Step Nine – Cleansing

Send away any illness, pain or fear that you’re experiencing. Send it to the Sun or wherever it needs to go to heal.

 

Step Ten – Comfort

Continue to let go and allow your energy to repair itself. 

It is not necessary to hold on to any worries, tension or negativity.

 

Step Eleven: Divine Connection

Fill yourself with strength and the knowledge that you are loved. 

You are filled with a Divine Connection to your Spirit. 

 

Step Twelve: Closure

In your minds eye, close the doors to any pathways that keep the pain and suffering open. You are connected through Love now and will always be. 

Let this healing be sealed with Love and Light.

Step Thirteen:  Divine Blessings

Let yourself rest now. You might feel tired or sad. That’s okay. It means that you’re feeling safe enough to really let go and rest.

Your mind is open and clear to receive healing and generative life force.

 

Some people have gotten a lot of extra support out of going through this self-care for loss formula every day for twenty-one days. It helps to retrain your mind to think more positively and keep you on track toward recovery.
