The human energy field has been going through significant transformation for some time. In my work, I’ve followed this evolution and assisted many people in restructuring their subtle energy fields for greater health and efficiency. The Intuitive Learning Circles and symbols have been carefully developed to facilitate these changes in alignment with Psyche, Soul and the Soul’s individual purpose.

Mind Body Integration trains your unconscious mind to recognize imbalances and harmful energies so it can activate and develop new patterns for protection, self-correction and re-generation.

Because the primary function of the unconscious mind is to preserve and protect the body, it runs all of our body functions. It’s also in charge of how information is communicated throughout the entire system.

In my work, I have found that when the unconscious mind recognizes the need to adapt and can effectively communicate that need, the subtle energy systems can shift and are “upgraded” to include the new information, which naturally upgrades the efficiency of all physical systems.

In this particular protocol, we seek to activate the unconscious mind and alert it to the presence of possible viruses, harmful toxins, polarities and imbalances that might be preventing homeostasis. Chakra and Meridian integrations are then facilitated to gently:

  1. Improve Communication – the proper transfer of messages between the brain and nervous system.
  2. Process and Regulate Emotional Information
  3. Expel Stress from the Nervous System – gentle release of fear and trauma
  4. Reduce Fight or Flight Stress Response
  5. Improve Overall Endocrine and Immune Health
  6. Release toxins and manage stress and trauma more effectively

In Gifts from the Rainforest, there are 58 plant, animal and nature spirits that share their message with a focusing tool I call the Intuitive Learning Circles. These Circles have a hypno-therapeutic action that can help us sort out information and enhance our objectivity.

When your mind is all cluttered up with too many thoughts it can be hard to tell if something you want to do is actually a good idea. Also, some ideas that are really important can get overlooked.

You Can Use the Circles to Ask About Specific Actions to Take ~

You might want to journal to keep track of the thoughts and ideas that come up with this exercise. You can go deeper through journaling or conversation with a therapist or like-minded group.

This kind of processing is a powerful resource that helps you to sort out your thoughts. Emotions can be felt and more easily released once they’re out of your head and put down on paper, which prevents overwhelm, anxiety and burnout.


Ask Your Intuitive Guidance About Specific Actions to Take ~

Slow down with #23 Sloth and pick one action that you’re considering doing at this time – i.e. taking a trip, starting a business, a project, etc.

 

To help you get out of your head, use Dragonfly Medicine #31 to consciously bring your energy down into your solar plexus area and connect with your natural instincts and self-healing abilities.

Once you’ve done that, slow down even more!

 

Especially if you’ve been through a recent trauma, the stress of that experience might have shut down the energy in your Third Chakra, which happens to be located at your solar plexus. Take a few minutes now to help yourself by allowing it to open up and relax.

 

Stop focusing on all that you’re trying to accomplish and take a few minutes to clear out your mind with #12 Rat Medicine.

When your mind starts racing and you’re too busy to stop and take a deep breath, you’re identifying with herd mentality from the collective ego. Catch yourself before your ego runs away completely!

Imagine you can sweep away all that extraneous clutter. Send it to the Light and close the doors behind you that let all that clutter in.
Then relax! Take several long, deep breaths – inhale and exhale.
Move around and stretch if that helps.

 

Once your thinking has calmed down, gently bring your mind back to your original question using #36 Plant Spirits. What were you thinking of doing?

Notice how much better your body and mind feel when they’ve calmed down…

Now you’re ready to ask: How would taking that action nurture you?

~ Is the timing for it right?
~ Would doing it energize you, drain you or something else?
~ What is your impression of how it would actually feel to do that thing?
~ How would it affect others?

 

Dive deeper with #23 Divine Perspective from Soul Prayer Charts. A perspective from your Soul will help you expose potential sabotage and find your way forward in positive, productive ways.

Take the action that you’re considering and project it out into the future – what do you sense?

~ Does taking this action serve you on a Soul level?
~ Does it have purpose and meaning?
~ Would it be joyful?
~ What are the possibilities that could result from taking this action?
~ Are there certain steps or decisions that need to happen first?

 

Use #33 Llama and consider your proposed action again.

What effect would deciding to take this action have on your other priorities?

~ Are you willing to be flexible and follow inner guidance as you go?
~ Are there any new decisions you need to make about yourself?
Get all the gears in your mind moving together.
~ What decisions do you need to make about others?
If you need to, use the Circle to unstick those “stuck” gears and remove mental obstacles from your thinking process.

 

Intuitive Guidance Will Help You To Set Yourself Up for Success

#34 Butterfly will help you to consciously tap into the most beneficial energies and nourishment that would support your ability to make wise decisions and follow through with them successfully.

 

If you’ve decided that your proposed action isn’t a good idea for you, use #5 Wasp to pull your energy back from that possibility.

Perhaps your time would be better spent doing something else. If that’s the case, look to your intuition to follow a better plan.

 

Regardless of what you’ve decided, remember the Golden Mean that says what you put out comes back to you.

Confirm with #14 Otter that you are centered within yourself properly to put your highest good out there so that you can receive a reciprocal, beneficial response. 

Place your best intention in the center of his Circle like a bull’s eye. Send your energy to that intention and then allow the energy to return to you. 

Congratulations! You’ve made yourself an active part of the equation.

 

Now, be sure you’re using your karma correctly for the best possible outcome.
Start by confirming that you’re using your own karma and not confusing your actions with some one else’s.
Next, confirm that the decision you’ve made is actually in your best interests. If it is, great – good to know!
Is it positioned correctly – in your own personal garden?

Finally, make sure you’ve included the karma you need to stay grounded and keep your energy high enough so that you can easily rise above any misunderstandings, difficulties or miscommunications that may interfere with a successful follow through.
If you don’t have those intentions now, plant the seeds for them.

Is there anything else that you need to be aware of?

If there is, make a note of it.
Remember to stay open and ask for help in case you need to adapt to changing circumstances.

How to ADAPT and Come From a Grounded Place in the New Paradigm ~

Many of us are aware that how we experience our environment has a lot to do with how well we’re feeling and how easy or difficult it is to come from a grounded place. That’s especially so when we need to communicate or move forward in a genuinely productive way! The energy of the Cosmos has changed radically and we are being called to ADAPT to a New Paradigm based on common ground.

The purpose of this Mind Exercise is to activate the beneficial energies of the New Paradigm in your environment. Connecting with these energies will help you organize effectively and from a grounded place.

If you’ve noticed any of the following situations in your environment, try this exercise from Navigating Compassion Fatigue, an online resource from our Soul Oriented Solutions series –

If you feel like you or your environment are:

  • Ungrounded or scattered
  • Overwhelmed by too much stuff
  • Disorganized and confused
  • Unstable, unsafe or explosive
  • Juggling too many things
  • Unproductive – going around in circles
  • A magnet attracting negative energies.

Directions: Confirm this is the best formula for you with the SOS Symbol.

Find a quiet place to sit in the center of your space, where you won’t be disturbed for about twenty minutes. Make sure both of your feet are firmly planted on the floor and that the soles of your shoes wouldn’t prevent you from grounding well.

Begin by meditating on this symbol that will help you organize your mind around the structure for Creating Common Ground.

Come from a Grounded Place

Then, go through the exercise by reading each message and then gazing gently at the Circle or chart that goes with it for a minute or so. A longer or shorter time may be necessary. Let yourself breathe and relax as much as possible. Don’t worry if the images move around or change in any way. That just means the Circles are working to help you and your environment to come into balance with each other and ground.

Some emotions may come up and when that happens always visualize the heaviness moving up, out and towards the Light.

You may intuitively feel that an object in the space should be moved or removed completely. Trust your instincts. Give yourself permission to let go of anything that could keep you stuck in the old paradigm.

Feel free to cross or uncross your arms whenever you intuitively feel you need to!


It helps to know that there are new channels of life force available in the New Paradigm that will help us ADAPT.

Come From a Grounded Place
Divine Protection

Keep this symbol handy to help you open up to generative life force and close down life-destructive energy channels from the past. That integration also includes new communication channels that will help us connect with each other in far more life affirming ways.

By contemplating the symbol, you’ll find that you’ll be able to intentionally close down harmful channels and open up to the generative life force (chi) that we look for in Feng Shui.

In Chinese, Feng Shui means “wind water”. These are the two elements that move energy for creating life when they’re in balance. When they’re out of balance, they can create all kinds of destructive energy patterns – sudden reversals, poltergeists, collapses in protection and stagnation – just to name a few. 

Needless to say, transitioning out of the energy channels of the Piscean Age (water) into the new energy channels of the Aquarian Age (air) has been causing quite a bit of instability for everyone.

The bottom line is – the sooner we can come from a grounded place in the New Paradigm based on common ground, the better!

  1. Begin by relaxing while you softly gaze at this Reiki Chakra Key for your Life Path Chakras, located on either side of your Crown Chakra at the top of your head. Use the following affirmation:

“I choose to relax and open up to my true potential.”

 

Presence 

2. Take some more time to breathe deeply.
 Pay special attention to those places in your body where you’re feeling pain or discomfort. 
Consciously send your breath to those places and let them relax.
Stretch if you need to. Open and close your hands. Notice the time and the space around you.

“I bring myself into the present in the New Paradigm.”

Mind Body IntegrationScroll back up to Divine Protection and take a few moments to consciously close down any harmful energy channels in your body or your space.

Do it both crossed and uncrossed over the center line of your body.

 

Receptivity

3. Ask for peace and harmony to come into your heart and awareness.

Consciously move your energy out of your head and pull it down into your heart and solar plexus area.

Old Soul

Once you feel the shift, close down harmful energy channels again. The more relaxed you are, the better this works.

 

Intuition

4. Connect with your instinctual nature.
Use the Dragonfly Circle to help you tune into your gut instincts so that you can reconnect and improve your relationship with your environment.

“I reconnect with my natural instincts and relationship to my environment.”

Divine Protection

Do you get instinctual messages or intuitive hits about certain areas in the space around you?
Could there be an object that’s holding old energy or keeping you grounded in past unhappiness?

If there is, take a moment to move it now and clear the area with Divine Protection.

 

Clear Intention

5. Let go of the need to be perfect, having to sacrifice or be everything for everyone. Include intentions that were helpful at one time and are no longer useful.
Could you be holding onto something that doesn’t belong to you or leaving yourself open to a problem that’s not yours to fix?
You are responsible for yourself and only your part of the situation. What is your part?

What makes sense to do? What would be genuinely helpful in this situation?
Resolve to let any misguided intentions go, like old smoke disappearing into the Light.

 

Nourishment

6. Make sure that you’re accessing the most beneficial energies to support you and your environment.
You may notice that some directions hold more auspicious energies for you than others.

Shut down any energy channels that are irrelevant or distracting you with Divine Protection.

 

Empowerment

7. To ground in the New Paradigm effectively, you need a strong connection to your spiritual Source. You need to be able to take good care of yourself and willing to ask for help. Bring your attention back to your heart and listen to it beating – nice and steady. Affirm to yourself:

“I exist and am empowered through the connection in my Heart.”

“I take good care of myself and am willing to ask for help.”

“I connect with my environment through Joy and Gratitude.”

Take all the time you need with this.

 

Disappointment

8. Pull your energy back and out of disappointing experiences.
Use this Circle to help you stop tapping into harmful or destructive energies that don’t support you and that bring chaos into your environment.

Shut down any remaining energy channels that are irrelevant or distracting you with Divine Protection.

 

Coherence

9. It’s time to focus your energy on getting grounded. When are grounded, you are not only taking good care of yourself, you also have a positive effect on those around you.

“I pull myself together and get grounded in the New Paradigm.”

 

Self-care

10. Is there anything else you need to do to help yourself?
Does anything else need to happen in your environment so you can come from a grounded place?

Make a list so you can remember.

 

Change

11. Do you have old agreements or assumptions you need to change? You can find them by examining your life and asking yourself:

“What’s been working and what hasn’t been working?”

Are you willing to let go of things that are not working? Release any agreements to hold on.
“I’m willing and able to let go and make the changes necessary for me now.”

 

Realization

12. Keep looking at the Circle while you relax and think of something that you love very much.

Have you been unknowingly jeopardizing things that matter to you?
If you have, what can you do to set it right?
Make note of the ideas that come to you.

 

Clean Up

13. Use Rat’s Circle to sweep any confusion or clutter out of your mind and send the debris up to the Light. In your mind’s eye, sweep it all away!
Then close the doors behind you that let in all that garbage.

Notice how much better your body feels when your mind gets clear.
Make note of ideas that come to you about how you might remove the clutter out of your environment.

 

REDIRECT

14. Imagine that your Spirit can gently take you by your heart and head. Let it turn you around – toward the direction of your highest good.

Allow an uplifting and generative flow of life affirming energy to circulate through your body.

 

DECISION

15. Use this Circle to help you close the pathways in your mind that would lead you into ungrounded and confusing places.

“All holes are sealed and healed.”

“I follow the guidance of my Soul.”

You probably feel much clearer now.

 

Inner Guidance

16. Take some deep breaths and move your body around again. Let your shoulders drop. Listen to that calm, gentle voice that comes from your heart. What is it telling you?

17. Allow a generative energy to begin in your solar plexus. Feel it moving up into your heart and let it fill up your entire body – all the way to your fingertips. You are creating a new template for a new beginning.

18. Finish by gazing at this symbol to confirm your connection with the new and beneficial energies of the New Paradigm.

SOS for CollapseAfter a traumatic experience many people feel lost, shattered or fragmented and if they don’t get a chance to reintegrate, their power and life force can easily get drained.

2. Notice where you are right now. How old do you feel? How old are you really?

Feel your hands open and close.
Notice the time. Move around. Bring yourself into the present.

 

Courage

3. What do you need right now? What would help you the most?

 Make a note of whatever comes up, even if it doesn’t make sense at first.

 

Recognition

4. Do you know what has happened to you?
How would you describe it?
What insights do you get about your situation?

 

Honesty

5. How are you feeling?
What would help you to feel better?

 

Support

6. Describe how you would like to feel.
Breathe deeply and let yourself get a feeling of what it would be like. 

 

Clarity

7. What do you want to have happen? 

 

Communication

8. Is there anything else that you want to ask for? 

Are you open to receiving what you’re asking for?
If not, what is the blockage?

 

Protection

9. Let this Circle help you pull your energy back out of any scary or dark places and close them down.
You are able to return to your center, get grounded and heal from your wounds.
You are learning to take care of yourself.

 

Reciprocity

10. Focus your energy on taking good care of yourself.
Imagine your intention in the middle of this Circle where kind and helpful energy can move down along the lines to the center. Are you present and able to receive them?

Imagine yourself in the center open space where you can receive help.

 

Truth

11. Do the same with this Circle and imagine yourself being filled up with gentle, loving energy from the Universe.
Take all the time you need to regain balance.

Assistance

12. Your health and wellbeing are important. Make a list of everything you need.
If you like, you can keep looking at the Circle to help you remember what would help you the most.

13. Let this Circle help you deconstruct any harmful habits and shut down anything that’s draining you.
Turn the drains off to the best of your ability.

Refill yourself with the energy to reconnect with Hope.

 

Centering

14. It’s time to look around you. Make sure you know where you are.
Affirm that you are inside your body.
Notice what is to the right of your body and what is to the left.

Move around and stretch your body in whatever way that you like.

 

Comfort

15. Let peace and hope be with you.
Let them fill your heart with strength and courage.

Healing Emotional Shock

Any person who is going through serious loss could experience emotional shock.

Healing Emotional ShockThe symptoms of emotional shock are disorientation, numbness, mental confusion or fragmentation. A person may even disconnect and leave their body. This includes people who are witness to traumatic experiences in some way. 

These are all ways that the unconscious mind protects us during a traumatic event.

This exercise can help if you’re experiencing any of these symptoms: 

  • Feeling stuck, immobilized, lost or helpless
  • Unable to relax tension from a startle response
  • Caught in a blank or confused state of mind
  • Waking up at night worried, with obsessive thoughts
  • Reliving painful experiences
  • Alternately feeling trapped and shattered.

The following mind exercise uses the Intuitive Learning Circle method for healing emotional shock ~

Sometimes people who’ve received bad news or experienced a traumatic event will tell you that they’re fine and not to worry about them. They may get confused or shut down and not be able to explain what’s happening to them. That’s because one of the main symptoms of being in shock is not being aware of being in shock. Why is that? During a shock, the mind goes blank as a form of protection.

The Brain and Emotional Shock

Any person involved in a traumatic event could experience disorientation, numbness or mental confusion. They might even fragment out of their body and then not remember what they did. These are all ways that the unconscious mind protects us during a traumatic event and that includes people who are witness to traumatic experiences in some way.

Contrary to popular opinion, having a shock response is not a sign of weakness or something to be ashamed of. It is a physiological event. Nevertheless, if the person doesn’t get a chance to get grounded in their body again – or if they’re not able to – serious problems may develop. Blocked energy and a constant state of fight or flight takes its toll over time. Statements like: “I can’t relax,” “I don’t know what to do,” “I feel disconnected” or “I just check out,” describe the experience of emotional shock.

If any of the above seems like it may apply to you, go through this mind exercise step by step to help you access your own innate healing abilities and bring yourself back into balance.

Simply follow the directions and see if you can free up some of the confusion and conflict that comes from shockHere’s an example of how it works. Simply relax and gaze softly at the Circle while you contemplate each of these positive affirmations:

“I reclaim and balance my five senses.”

“I focus them to be present and aware of my body.”

“I use them to become aware of my environment and what’s important to me right now.”

“I focus on life affirming actions that benefit my well-being and happiness.”

For best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of the body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.

Let yourself breathe and relax as much as possible. Don’t worry if the images move around or change in any way. That just means the Circles are working and that your mind and body are relaxing.
Be sure to go through the entire formula and at the end, give yourself time to rest and integrate.


Healing Emotional Shock and Confusion

Step One:

Take several deep breaths and relax while you look at this Circle that releases shock and inner conflict.

Imagine you can use it to focus in on a conflict, a thought or a painful experience that’s blocking your way. If your mind is blank, relax into how “blank” it is. You may get a conscious image or message, or you may not.

Once you have a sense that your mind has found the blockage, sit back and take a couple more deep breaths. Imagine that the lines going into the center are relaxing and going soft, like cooked spaghetti noodles.

Or, you can visualize that the darkness or heaviness is like an iceberg and the Sun is melting it away with a beautiful beam of light. Allow it to melt until it’s completely gone.

Repeat the process with other blockages or conflicts that come up.

Step Two:

The next step is to bring your senses into balance so that you can see, feel and hear things without the distortion that often accompanies shock.

As you breathe deeply, let this Circle help you to adjust the volume and pitch of your senses to just the right level for you.

Soon you will be able to hear that calm, gentle voice inside that reminds you about what matters the most to you:

“I see things as they really are. My senses are balanced. I can perceive clearly what matters the most.”

Step Three:

When a person is ready to pull themself out of a shocking event, their mind needs to have a safe idea of where to go.

This template for Common Ground will help you find a place to re-organize around that is aligned with your Soul, Nature and the Common Good. 

If you gently meditate on this image you can begin to connect with a new environment that has room for equality, peaceful co-operation and balanced prosperity.

Step Four:

Relax with this symbol to connect with life affirming energy flow.

“I adapt to the positive flow of chi’ and protection available through the Element of Air to the best of my ability.”

“I close down harmful energy channels from the past.”

“I connect to helpful, life affirming channels of communication.”

Step Five:

Make sure that you’re no longer planted in that old experience, whatever it was. It’s important that you pull your energy completely out of the past so you can get present and grounded again. Your well-being is important.

Let this Chart for the Earth Element help you unearth old agreements or conditioning that’s sucking you back into the past or holding you down.

“I uproot whatever is confusing me. I decide to pull my roots out of old, stagnant, trapped or stuck places.

Once you’ve freed yourself, place both feet on the ground and your hands on each knee while you use these affirmations:

“I decide to get present and ground in Common Ground.”

“I am safe and the Earth supports me.”

Step Six:

If your gut feels tight or uncomfortable, use this Reiki Chakra Key for your solar plexus to help you relax and get back into balance there. Your solar plexus is that soft place in your belly where your ribs go up. Just take some nice breaths and feel it relax as you say to yourself:

“It’s safe. I feel safe and more relaxed with every breath.”

“I can reconnect with my resources again.”

Take your time and move around if you need to. Stay with it until you feel centered again

Step Seven:

Take some more time and let your heart recover. This Key will help you to reconnect and balance your Heart Center so you can clear away any residual heaviness. Breathe deeply and be gentle. 

“I take the time to reconnect with my heart.” 

“I release any heaviness to the Light where it can be transformed.”

“I choose to reconnect with life and _________.”

Eventually, your Heart Center will be able to radiate out like a star.

“I integrate my true Self with a compassionate and radiant heart.”

Step Eight:

Sometimes a person who’s coming out of emotional shock will be disoriented and feel a bit “out of their body.” In case that’s happening with you, take a few minutes to consciously bring yourself back into your body.

“I am at home in my center. I am inside my body.”

You can open and close your hands. Move your fingers and wiggle your toes around. Move in whatever way helps you feel good and more present in your body. Notice the time and where you are. These actions all help you recover from emotional shock.

Step Nine:

Get back in touch with the familiar vibration of your Soul. To do that, relax with this Circle. Remember a time when you were very happy or had successfully accomplished an important physical goal.

What color or felt sense relaxes you and feels good?

If you can increase the color to be stronger and more vibrant, you’ve found your Soul’s unique vibration. Now you can sync up with the Universe correctly, which puts you back in the flow. 

Being in a balanced flow makes everything easier! Take a few minutes to relax and enjoy that feeling.

Step Ten:

Oftentimes, healing emotional shock and confusion requires a change in priorities. There may be certain intention or expectations that have contributed to your confusion.

Use this Circle to identify and remove old intentions that are no longer appropriate for you to hold or send energy to.

Imagine you can clear away any outdated intentions or societal motives that are harmful to your health, prosperity and happiness.

Now that they’re gone, what new intentions do you want to set or strengthen?

Step Eleven:

There may also be negative or outdated plans, blueprints and habitual patterns that are suddenly reversed. They may no longer be relevant or constructive and are now obstructing your way forward. You can use this symbol for dissolving destructive blueprints to help you identify them and dissolve whatever is confusing you.

Actively imagine that the negative patterns in your mind are like heavy clouds or a jumbled maze of fears, dead ends and nightmares.

Once you have the image, bring the pure light of the Sun in and dissolve the maze completely.

You’ll know that you’re done when you can see yourself standing in a beautiful open field with clear blue skies all around.

Please note: Never send destructive energies into the Earth, she already has too much to handle now. Use the Earth for planting seeds of happiness and life – not death!

Step Twelve:

Be sure to include harmful karma that you may still be carrying. Release any seeds of karma that could prolong or cause a recurrence of your suffering and send them to the Light. 

Also, surrender any seeds that are not yours so they can return to wherever they belong and be healed!

“I surrender other people’s karma and take responsibility for my own.”

These steps are often overlooked, causing a lot of repeat and unnecessary suffering. 

Later, once the karma has been set right, consider planting new seeds for healthier and happier outcomes.

 

Step Thirteen:

When one door closes another can open, so be certain to seal and heal any holes, leaks or harmful pathways that may have come open in your energy field during this process.  Open pathways can leave you vulnerable to danger by allowing harmful energies to pass back and forth between you and others.

As you gaze at the Circle, affirm that harmful leaks and open holes are closing up completely. See it happening in your mind’s eye.

“All holes are healed and sealed.”

“I follow the direction of my Soul’s protection.”

Step Fourteen:

Finally, you’re in a place where you can successfully surround your Self with a sphere of courage, strength and protection. Shamans call this a “ring of fire”.

With it, you feel safer and more confident with every breath. 

“I am surrounded and filled with strength, courage and determination.”

Give yourself permission to rest and restore your wholeness before you move on from this exercise.

Then, in your own time and in your own way, you can gently return to conscious awareness.

 

Congratulations!

Now that you’re finished with the exercise, consider taking a nice walk outside. Nothing grounds you like being in nature after an emotional shock.

What are the main reasons a person may need overwhelm help?

The first reason would be that there’s simply too much information coming at the person and their mind is not able to filter priorities properly.

Overwhelm Help #1 - Too much information

The second reason would be that the person has placed too much of their  attention and energy on a certain problem or goal that is unrealistic or cannot be accomplished under the current circumstances.

The third reason why a person could need overwhelm help would be that the way forward has become obscured. The circumstances are dark, dim, unclear or hard to understand.

The fourth reason could be that the environment has become too toxic or chaotic for a person to be able to cope in the way that they normally would.

All of these reasons have a negative effect on your physical health and can put stress on your mental / emotional health as well.

Unfortunately, people are becoming more and more overwhelmed by sudden emotional or environmental changes, toxic entanglements or triggered PTSD episodes.

A person needing overwhelm help could experience:

  • Sudden and extreme exhaustion.
  • Fight or flight panic attacks.

Stop Disaster Thinking

One of the biggest challenges of facing our current situation is the problem of disaster thinking.

It’s so easy to get sucked into negative, disaster thinking. All you have to do is turn on any form of media and within minutes you’re hit with intense waves of  fear, paranoia, even wrath. Before you know it, your energy is getting drained and you’re feeling on the edge of collapse.

Stop Disaster Thinking

If you feel that you’ve already dropped into a hole of hopelessness, I recommend going through our self care formula Clearing an Overwhelmed Mind immediately or select another formula from our Overwhelm Help menu to reboot your energy.

However, if you’re still able to see that you’re heading toward one of those holes, there’s still time to stop yourself and turn around.

Of course there are plenty of disastrous events that are actually happening. I’m not suggesting that you isolate, live in denial or surround yourself with ‘nothing to see here’ apathy. However, letting your attention get sucked into all the problems while ignoring the solutions is like watching a rotten foundation collapse under your feet and assuming the rest of the building is going to stay upright and stable. It ain’t gonna happen!

Our problems can’t be solved from the same mental position they were created from. A positive balance can be struck by consciously pulling your attention and energy away from the problems and redirecting them to genuinely helpful solutions.

It may sound hard to do, but learning to stop disaster thinking can happen with a holistic approach that works with Mother Nature.

Stop Disaster Thinking in the New Paradigm

With the Intuitive Learning Circle method, you can easily use the symbols and Animal Totems Circles as refocusing tools. All you have to do is be open and follow the simple directions.

Each Circle helps gather unconscious information, organize awareness and illuminate solutions that come directly from your Soul. You are in charge!

Feel free to move at anytime in any way to help you embody your experience!

If someone is with you, talk to them about some of the feelings that you’re having. It could help you to gain perspective on your situation. Having perspective allows you to make the best decisions about what will help you now.


Start out by taking a moment to consider what kinds of situations really suck you in. At this moment, what seems to be draining you?  

An energy drain could be anything – time, work, family, politics, technology, social media or even a personal relationship.

What kind of disaster thinking comes to mind first?

Next, scroll down and gaze softly at the short sequence of Intuitive Learning Circles below. Let each Circle help you access intuitive answers to the questions that go along with them.

 

Step 1:

Take a moment to relax and take a few deep breaths. Let your shoulders drop and gently look at the Circle in whatever way that appeals to you. Once you feel pretty relaxed, ask yourself some questions:

“What am I paying attention to and is that in my best interests?”

“What am I making up about this? Is my imagination running wild? Am I thinking it could only happen one way? Or, is there a strange combination of both?”

It’s important that you take whatever answers that come to you because they’re having a significant effect on your ability to focus on a positive mindset.

 

Step 2:

Are you fixating on the problem or does your mind go blank? If so, your mental / emotional energy is feeding directly into the problem instead of solving it!

See if you can soften your thoughts and attention by relaxing with this Circle. Breathe into it and visualize the lines getting all soft and wavy, like limp, loose spaghetti noodles.

Once you’re relaxed, you can move any blockages out of the way.

 

Step 3.

Gaze softly at this next Circle that helps you access your unconscious decisions:

“What decisions am I making about this situation? What have I decided about myself? Are those productive thoughts?”

If they are productive, great! Make them even stronger. If they’re not productive, you may need to remove those unproductive decisions that are spinning around in your mind, or you may need to release fixated thoughts again with Step 2.

Notice how you can spin those blockages out by meditating on Llama’s Circle while encouraging the wheels in your mind to flow together in a clockwise direction.

Once you’ve let those unconscious decisions go, you can reprogram your mind. What kind of thoughts and decisions would be better for you to follow? Don’t judge, just relax and let this Circle help you turn your thoughts around. Oftentimes, when we change the direction of the wheels that go round in our minds, we become open to solutions that can change how we’re responding to the situation. Visualize them syncing up together in a clockwise direction.

 

Step 4.

To gain control of your thoughts, it helps to utilize the generative life force from the Element of Air. Connect with this symbol to help you integrate the new energy. Use it to close confusing energy channels from the past.

You can even connect with new channels of helpful communication. Imagine the lines in the Circle connecting up in the center. Take all the time that you need. Both crossed and uncrossed.

Step 5.

Do you need to change any intentions that are interfering with your health or happiness? If you do, it’s time to surrender them like old ashes out of a shaman’s prayer pipe.

What is a simple intention that would be more beneficial now?
Possible suggestion would include taking good care of yourself and staying in the New Paradigm to the best of your ability.

Step 6.

As you gaze at the totem for Snake Medicine, ask yourself:

“Am I willing to re-align my chakra system around my new intention using this new communication channel and generative life flow?”

If the answer you get is “no,” what is the blockage that you’re experiencing? Is a particular chakra or mindset creating a problem? What would help?

If the answer is “yes,” use your imagination to visualize protective energies like Reiki filling up and flowing through your body.  Doing this will help you to safely detach from disaster thinking and reinforce the integrity of your energy field. This may take a while. Take a break, move around or stretch for a few minutes.

 

Step 7.

If you’ve decided to take good care of yourself, continue to seal up those drains in your energy field – nice and secure.

“All leaks and drains affecting my energy are closing down and shutting off in accordance with my highest good.”

This puts your Essence in a better mindset to re-direct all that energy to the care and feeding of your body, mind and Soul!

 

Step 8.
