What are the main reasons a person may need overwhelm help?

The first reason would be that there’s simply too much information coming at the person and their mind is not able to filter priorities properly.

Overwhelm Help #1 - Too much information

The second reason would be that the person has placed too much of their unconscious attention and energy on a certain problem or goal that is unrealistic or cannot be accomplished under the current circumstances.

Overwhelm Help #2 - Unrealistic expectations

The third reason why a person would need overwhelm help would be that the way forward has become obscured. The circumstances are dark, dim, unclear or hard to understand.

The fourth reason could be that the environment has become too toxic or chaotic for a person to be able to cope in the way that they normally would.

All of these reasons have a negative effect on your health and can cause dysfunction in your subtle energy fields – especially your auras.

What are auras & why might they need overwhelm help?

Overwhelm Help for the AurasYour auras are invisible layers of protection surrounding your body in its subtle energy field. Keeping your auric field healthy is important because it provides protection, autonomy and helps to maintain healthy boundaries.

Unfortunately, an energy collapse or “cascade” can come on unexpectedly in people who are overwhelmed by sudden emotional or environmental changes, toxic entanglements or triggered PTSD episodes. When a collapse happens, all energy systems (in the subtle energy fields) go into a sudden reversed pattern. The auras that protect the body collapse, the central meridian that feeds the brain reverses the direction its flowing in and all other systems go into life support mode – running only essential systems on emergency energy.

During an energy collapse, a person could experience:

Take a moment and think about what’s going on for you and then look at the SOS symbol. Relax for a moment or two.

Managing Anxiety Amidst Collective Fear ~

Whenever a person is feeling anxiety, it’s usually related to whatever level of uncertainty they are experiencing. In normal times, managing anxiety has been a personal matter and has to do with being okay with not knowing what’s going to happen.

However, due to the pandemic and other social, environmental challenges, we are all experiencing existential levels of disorientation and uncertainty – even threats – which in turn increases our collective levels of anxiety. None of us knows what’s going to happen next! Whether it be how to interact with our social networks, following new procedures or handling economic stress, being able to focus our attention on something positive may simply seem out of the question.

Managing AnxietyThese feelings can come on suddenly and be extremely visceral! For example, just today, I was sitting down to make a plan and my partner came home suddenly very agitated about a situation at work. As he was talking, my thoughts started to spin, which, in turn, elevated the emotions I was feeling. Then, my breathing got shallow and my heart began to race.

In a matter of moments, I had gone from neutral to being scattered in a tempest of collective emotions: fear, distress, anxiety… and who knows what else!

Fortunately, because I’ve always been more sensitive to these sorts of experiences, I knew to quickly release my agreement to buy into it. Then, when I had more time, I went through this centering exercise to pull myself out from the malaise and center myself in the present again.

If you would like to try the process out for yourself, set aside about twenty to thirty minutes. Start by reading the directions: Gaze at each Circle for approximately two minutes. A longer or shorter time may be necessary. Let yourself breathe and relax as much as possible.

Here’s an example of how the Intuitive Learning Circles can help you restore balance when you’re managing anxiety:

Gaze softly at the Circle for a minute or so while you contemplate the positive affirmations that go with it:

“I focus them so that I can feel calmer and concentrate on what’s important.”

“I use them to help me be more aware of my surroundings and what I’m doing.”

“I focus on thoughts and actions that are genuinely beneficial.”

The Circle may seem to move, spin or even change color. That means that it’s working. Just keep breathing and let the energy move. Once it calms down, your emotional state may improve as well. Then you’ll be ready to continue with the exercise.


Mind Body Integration

The brain and body communicate through different channels when a part of you is crossed over the center of your body. 

For best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of your body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.

Feel free to move at anytime in any way to help you embody your experience!


Managing Anxiety

The goal of this formula is to help you slow down and pull your thoughts together so that you can get your energy back into balance quickly and easily.

Step One: Clarity

Breathe in and exhale. Gently gaze at the Circle and affirm to yourself:

“It’s beneficial for me to be aware of energies that are not mine and expel them.”

“I organize my body and mind to have healthy boundaries
and strong protection.”

“Taking good care of myself is important.”

 

Step Two – Balance

The Balance Chakra is located on your Sacrum, better known as your Tail Bone. When this energy center is in balance, it’s much easier to connect with stability and the natural flow of life or “the Tao,” as it’s called in the Ching.

It may feel like you’re all off balance or whirling like a top. Keep breathing and let this Circle help you get more balanced again.

Relax and settle into your chair. Pay special attention to your tailbone while you let it relax and unwind.

 

Step Three – Protection

Continue to breathe and put yourself in a mental landscape that’s very safe, calm and peaceful.
You are completely protected here.

Let your mind imagine a soft breeze gently blowing busy or anxious thoughts away like leaves, swirling up and disappearing into the Sun.

 

Step Four ~ Clarity

Let this Circle help you turn the volume down on your senses. They could be turned up too high. You can calm down and see things as they are in the present. Move if you need to. Let your shoulders drop.

“I can see the light in a dark situation.”

A nice side benefit to balancing your senses in this way is noticing that you feel more balanced and your emotions are calming down. Practice both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body.

“I enjoy this calm sensation and remember it.”

 

Step Five – Slow Motion

Your mind might be hurried, spinning or frenzied, so let this Circle help you imagine that everything’s slowing down. 
It’s okay to slow down… moving in slow motion.


Again, do that both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body. If you like, you can imagine a ball of string slowly unwinding.

 

Step Six – Trust

Managing Anxiety in your gutLet your belly relax where your ribs go up in the front.
It’s okay for you to relax there and breathe as deeply as you want.

Get yourself centered and balanced.

It’s okay for you to just be. Things are getting sorted out now.

 

Step Seven – Release

Help your body to release physical and emotional toxins by relaxing with this Chakra Key that improves the function of your kidneys. Use this positive affirmation:

“Letting go is a relief.”

 

Step Eight – Steadfast

Use this Circle to focus in on your heart.
Your heartbeat is steady and getting calmer by the minute.

“I am okay.”

 

Step Nine – Breath

Let this Circle help you open up your breath now.
Your lungs work together with your heart to keep oxygen flowing through you.

“I’m breathing in the breath of life and exhaling _____________.”

 

Step Ten – Equilibrium

It’s important to keep breathing.
Your diaphragm works together with your heart and lungs to help you breathe.
You really are okay. Your breathing is okay.

“I breathe deeply into my belly and resonate with the breath of life.”

 

Step Eleven – Resolution

As you gaze at this Circle, you can deactivate the overstimulated parts of your brain. Just keep breathing and say to yourself:

“I am calming down. Everything is relaxing.”

 

Step Twelve – Integration

Hara lines are like tiny webs of light that connect the chakras. Sometimes they are broken due to trauma, toxicity or sudden changes in the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight).

“The hará lines between my chakras are healed and connected, like a golden web of light.”

“I organize my consciousness around healthy boundaries and strong protection from my Soul.”

 

Step Thirteen – Synchronize with Your Heart Center

Gaze softly at the Key and allow your heart center to open, relax and expand. You can even imagine a warm energy radiating out of the center of your chest and as that light moves out, you find that all kinds of anxiety, sorrow and heaviness is easily released to the Sun. Letting go – recycling into new life and inspiration.

“My heart chakra is letting go of harmful patterns so that it can synchronize with health, happiness and positive life flow.”

 

Step Fourteen – Emotional Freedom

Dissolve your connection to the mental and emotional unhappiness that’s behind our collective anxiety. Use this symbol for dissolving destructive blueprints to clear the patterns from your mental continuum. Visualize them like dark clouds dissolving and dissipating into pure Sunlight. 

“I dissolve destructive patterns that interfere with my health and happiness. I release them to the Light to be purified.”

Please note: Never send destructive energies into the Earth, she already has too much to handle now. Use the Earth for planting seeds of happiness and life – not death!

 

Step Fifteen – Closure

Close the pathways or doors in your mind that lead back to collective anxiety and fear.

If those pathways remain open, all kinds of trouble (karma, issues, illness or confusion) can continue to pass back and forth through the opening without your awareness. This can manifest in a sudden return in mental confusion, anxiety or chronic states of overwhelm.

“I choose to take good care of myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.”

“All pathways that lead back to suffering are sealed and healed.”

Step Sixteen – Embrace Protection On Your New Path

Allow this Soul Prayer Chart to help you close down any harmful energy channels from the old paradigm and tap into the generative energy flow of the New Paradigm instead.

Soul Oriented Solutions: A Gentle Meditation about Emotional Stress and Self-care for Loss ~

Self-care for LossMany people are experiencing deep levels of anxiousness, distress and fear around our current situation due to a variety of events. These feelings can come on suddenly and
be very overwhelming. You might have lost a relative, a job or an important friendship. You could be facing a health challenge or even a loss in your purpose and sense of self.  Or, you may be sitting on the sidelines, watching someone you love suffer while you feel at a loss for something helpful to do. In situations like these, it can take a while to regain your balance. What are some ways to provide self-care for loss and bring some level of emotional relief?

If you can find a way to tune into your deepest resources, you’ll discover that you’re never completely alone, even in your darkest hours.

  • Stressed over a lost job or income
  • Grieving a loss of any kind
  • Feeling pulled into a negative state of mind
  • Recovering from an abusive experience – past or present
  • Dealing with a serious or long-term illness
  • Preparing for surgery
  • Coming to terms with tragedy, loss or death.

Here’s a short example of how the Circles can prepare you to restore balance.

Simply gaze softly at the image while you contemplate the positive affirmations that go with it for for a minute or so. Relax and breathe:

“I bring my senses into balance.”

“I focus them so that I can feel calmer and more aware of what’s important.”

“I use my senses to be more aware of where I am and what I’m doing.”

“I focus on thoughts and actions that are genuinely helpful and productive.”

 

Next, you can continue to prepare for Self-care for Loss by allowing this Reiki Chakra Key to help you tap into your heart center. It helps to put both feet flat on the floor and place your hands on your heart while you gaze at the symbol.  Here’s a a couple of suggested affirmations:

“I am filled with compassion for the suffering of myself and others.”

“I open my heart to courage and the possibility of healing.”

Strong emotions or insights may come up. The image may move, rotate, vibrate or change color. Don’t worry. That happens sometimes. It just means it’s working to help you feel better. Once the energy calms down a bit, you can move on to the remaining Circles with each of their affirmations to continue the process.

Your heartfelt intention is important and needs to be communicated. Use this Reiki Chakra Key to help you connect your prayers with your heart. Focus in on the Master Chakras located on each hand between the thumb and the index finger and let them get open and balanced. Then, imagine you can connect them with your heart. These affirmations can help:

“My prayers are connecting with my heart center.”

“I ask to receive guidance, clarity and healing from my Inner Wisdom.”

You might want to journal some of your thoughts so that you can speak with a trusted counselor or friend about what comes up. If so, get out some paper and something to write with as you go through the steps.

 

Finally, it takes energy to manifest. You may have the feeling that your energy is being drained right out of you. Relax and gaze softly at this Circle. Let it help you close the drains that are exhausting you.

“I shut down all drains that are causing me to lose energy.’

Now you’re ready to begin the main part of your exercise.

Self-care for Loss

Step One: Asking for Help

Breathe in deeply, all the way to your belly while you look at this Circle. 

If you could ask for something that would help you feel better, what would that be? Place your request in the center, open space of this Circle and imagine you can send your breath to it.

 

Step Two – Support

Imagine that you can bring healing and release into all parts of your body, mind and spirit while you continue to breathe.

Miracles - Self-care for Loss

 

Step Three ~ Peace

What do you think is the main difficulty or burden you’re dealing with right now?
Are you ready to let go of that burden and find a solution? 
If not, why not?

 

Step Four – Release

 If you can, imagine that difficulty or burden is beginning to melt and soften up. You can release the tension around anything that’s bothering you right now. Your shoulders are dropped. Your jaw is relaxed. Hardened thoughts are melting.

Keep melting the tension until it’s all gone.


Remember to do that both crossed and uncrossed.

 

Step Five – Soul Vision

Consider what your life could be without this difficulty. What would it be like if those burdens were lifted? Can you imagine it?

Sense the experience as much as you can in detail. See it, hear it, taste it, smell it and feel it.

 

Step Six – Remove Your Burdens

Imagine that you can send all those burdens to where ever they need to go to resolve themselves. Feel the heaviness lifting up and off of you.

You have done the best that you can under the circumstances.

 

Step Seven: Inner Guidance

Gently contemplate this symbol to help you gain insight and spiritual direction about appropriate things to do in this situation.

Imagine you can call upon Love to help heal the situation. Is there something that Love would tell you to do?
Ask to be instructed by Love as you continue along your journey.

 

Step Eight – Balance

Breathe again.
Feel a calmness coming over you.
You feel calmer and calmer with every breath.

 

Step Nine – Cleansing

Send away any illness, pain or fear that you’re experiencing. Send it to the Sun or wherever it needs to go to heal.

 

Step Ten – Comfort

Continue to let go and allow your energy to repair itself. 

It is not necessary to hold on to any worries, tension or negativity.

 

Step Eleven: Divine Connection

Fill yourself with strength and the knowledge that you are loved. 

You are filled with a Divine Connection to your Spirit. 

 

Step Twelve: Closure

In your minds eye, close the doors to any pathways that keep the pain and suffering open. You are connected through Love now and will always be. 

Let this healing be sealed with Love and Light.

Step Thirteen:  Divine Blessings

Let yourself rest now. You might feel tired or sad. That’s okay. It means that you’re feeling safe enough to really let go and rest.

Your mind is open and clear to receive healing and generative life force.

 

Some people have gotten a lot of extra support out of going through this self-care for loss formula every day for twenty-one days. It helps to retrain your mind to think more positively and keep you on track toward recovery.

Grounding in the Truth

Many people realize how important grounding in the truth is because external power struggles can so easily uproot us from the truth about what’s best for us.

Staying centered requires that you know how to use the power of your mind to control your own energy.

To find out if this Six Step Mind Exercise can help you, gaze at the symbol in this picture for a moment and ask:

  •  Are you having difficulty getting and staying grounded?
  •  Do you feel caught up in a power struggle?
  •  Do you need to disconnect from a meddling or intrusive person?

Put both feet flat on the floor and start with your arms and legs uncrossed. Simply gaze softly at the images while you repeat the affirmations that go with them for several minutes. Relax and breathe. Here’s an example:

“I reclaim and balance my five senses.”

“I use them to be present and aware so that I can actualize my Souls purpose.”

“I use them to help me protect myself and resolve my concerns appropriately.”

“I am aware of what’s most important.”

You will probably feel a lot of energy moving – that’s all right, that means the Circles are working to focus your mind and clean up your energy. You will know you’re done when the energy calms down and you can think clearly. Then you can move on to the remaining Circles with each of their affirmations to complete the process. Once you’re done, remember to relax and allow your energy to settle.

Step One: Begin by accessing a strong connection with your Soul Resources.

We each have our own Soul vibration that amplifies our own autonomy, integrity and good health. Check how your connection is doing with this Soul Prayer Chart and these affirmations:

“I access my unique Soul Vibration for clear and true guidance.”

You’ll know it’s right if the “vibe” feels right in your solar plexus.

 

Step Two: Establish a strong intention stated in the positive.

You might want to write it down. Examples:

“I maintain my integrity and am true to myself.”

“I gather my resources to be successful in my current endeavors.”

“I disengage from this power struggle.” etc.

Step Three – Resolve

Strengthen your resolve by detaching from harmful sub-conscious distractions. Gaze softly at this Key while affirming these thoughts:

“I detach from petty assumptions, ego concerns and things that don’t matter.”

“I disconnect from unproductive projects and inappropriate people.”

“I resolve to use my power wisely for what’s genuinely good for me.”

“I release all subconscious agreements to tap into other people’s energy or to allow them to tap into mine.”

 

Step Four ~ Self-determination

Connect to this Soul Chakra Key through your breath. See if you can bring in your Soul vibration for an even stronger connection. Then, continue with these affirmations:

“I reclaim all of my energy, power and gifts.”

“I use them to be present and alert.”

“I use them to create my Souls purpose.”

 

Step Five – Centering

Bring your awareness and vibe to your heart center and keep breathing:

“I am centered and my heart is strong.”

“The energy flows out, helping me to let go of _________, anxiousness, pain, sorrow, etc.”

“I know what’s important and how to nourish my heart and Soul.”

“I maintain healthy boundaries. My life is my own.”

 

Step Six- Grounding

Take all the time you need with the Earth Chakra Key until you feel stable and calm. See if you can still feel your Soul Vibration.

“My feet are firmly planted on the Earth.”

“I slow down and step carefully.”

“I am connected with and grounded in the truth.”

“I am ___________________________.”

Your energy is more your own and you’ll have a much easier time staying grounded now. Remember, a person whose energy is balanced and grounded benefits everyone. Be sure to take some time to relax and rest.
