Changing Seasons with the Chinese Zodiac – Horse
Changing Seasons and How You’re Influenced by the Chinese Zodiac in the Year of the Horse ~
Kuan Yin has been helping us through these Intuitive Readings as we navigate out of the old paradigm based on greed, resentment and revenge into a new paradigm of equality, peaceful co-operation with Nature and balanced prosperity. Today, she shares how about how you can facilitate CHANGING through the I Ching, an ancient book of divination that follows the flow of the cosmos, the Chinese Zodiac, the Tarot and intuitive guidance from Animal and Plant Spirits.

Welcome to the I Ching Reading for: Hexagram #38 – CHANGING Through the Chinese Zodiac During the Year of the Horse ~
We are in the first quarter of the Year of the Yang Fire Horse. The qualities of horse are generally known to be: Warm-hearted. Upright. Positive. Patient. Steady. Emotional. Extravagant. Opinionated. Inflexible.
With this Feng Shui Mandala it’s possible to call on his positive outlook and ability to balance emotions. His quick footed movement is both patient and steady, unless he gets startled.
The Horse’s Feng Shui Mandala below can give you a sense of what the archetype of the Horse is about and how it may influence you. If you’re interested, gently contemplate it and relax. Let yourself move with the energy of it. When you’re ready, ask yourself these questions and journal the answers that come:
“What is the most important thing I can focus my energy and effort on at this time in the Year of the Horse?”
“What is the direction? Why is that important?
What kind of Horse energy is needed to meet the moment?
Is there something I need to avoid? Some emotions I need to master?
If so, what are they and what would be the best way to build resilience?”
Allow your intuition to come forward and bring guidance from your innermost Self.
Does Horse have any other warnings for you? If so, are they a part of your path or are they pulling you off into distractions? What is his advice?

Feng Shui Advice from Kuan Yin ~
At the change of every season, marked by the Summer or Winter Solstices and the Spring or Autumn Equinoxes, the energy in your environment goes through a natural and observable change.
In order to adjust to seasonal changes, a wise person takes the time to notice the energy in their home and business.
If you keep Snake’s guidance in mind, you’ll find interesting answers about how to be proactive with energies that may be impeding your growth, happiness and prosperity.

The I Ching
The original intent of the I Ching was based on an Eastern philosophy of observation and marking changes in natural and human events. Through many centuries and contributions from shamans and master teachers, including Lau Tzu and Confucius, the Book of Change was developed into a full philosophy for applying beneficial human conduct to varying circumstances. The Art of Feng Shui is part of that philosophy.Following the Tao or “gate through which all things move”~
The I Ching energy has been traveling in multiple highway patterns for some time and it’s likely to continue that way.
Whenever that happens, instability is exaggerated. The best way for you to find your own balance is to do your best to change with the changes and follow the flow of Hexagram #15 MODERATION or “the Middle Road.”
If you need help adapting, the latest I Ching Energy Update has information about the avenues open for positive change, so you can take advantage of the opportunity.
“People fear change because of its unknowable effect upon the future; so when a real need for CHANGING makes itself felt, it is a serious matter indeed. Clarity, forethought, and great devotion are now required to achieve your purpose. If correctly handled, however, the results can lead to a progressive new era.” ~ CHANGING, The I Ching Workbook, R.L. Wing, Random House, NYC, NY, 1979
To clarify, Kuan Yin teaches that each of the Hexagrams has a distinct flow that you can come into sync with and use to your benefit.
When you don’t see any benefit in following a particular highway, the flow for MODERATION is always available, it just takes effort and experience to stay in balance with it.
“Your inner development now requires a modest and sincere attitude. Do not indulge in extremes of any sort, and instead strive for MODERATION in all that you do… In this way you use the balancing tendency of the current forces to center yourself. This inner equilibrium aligns you with the tao, thus bringing you into harmony with forces that can work for you…” Ibid.
Influences from the Tarot and Numerology ~
The Major Arcana Card for 2026 is #X The Wheel of Fortune (2+0+2+6 = 10 = 1)
Wheel of Fortune Meanings: The laws of karma and reincarnation. Cycles and turning points. Good luck. Chance. A shift in fortune. Extravagance or overindulgence. Reversed: Yo-yo effect. Fluctuations. Anxiety. Unknown outcome. Bad timing. Missed opportunity. Bad luck. Bad karma.
The Wheel of Fortune indicates that “anything can happen.” Like throwing coins in the air for a lucky toss. It suggests that there are many mechanisms, both known and unknown that have an influence on the outcome of any inquiry. Perhaps timing, a balance of the elements, cosmic order or hidden knowledge… secrets, karma, the mysteries of cause and effect.
The number 1O reduces to 1 which represents Unity and the universal force of creation. The “One” implies the Source that embodies the original seed of potential.

Feng Shui Advice and Guidance for Spring ~
Hexagram #20 CONTEMPLATING from the I Ching describes the overall guidance for effective Feng Shui:
“Just as the life of the individual is composed of seasons, the spring of inspiration, the summer of work, the autumn of completion and the winter of rest and contemplation, so too worldly events have their seasons. When attempting to determine the meaning and tendency of a situation at this time, approach it with the predictable plan of the seasons in mind. By contemplating the present situation and taking note of what immediately preceded it, you should be able to determine what will follow.” ~ The I Ching Workbook, R.L. Wing, Random House, NYC, NY, 1979
Spring Is Time for Planting for the Near Future ~
So much has been going on. So many people are concerned about the future and their relationships while they struggle with conflicts and power struggles from the past.
By consciously turning your attention toward beneficial input and energies, you can do more for your long term growth, health and safety than you may realize. Allow natural forces to influence how you move forward.
In Feng Shui, the Spring season is a time to focus on generating life, Love and joyful experiences that we want to grow more of. If we’re lucky, we’ve Planted the Seeds for Happiness so we’re inspired to nurture prosperity and emotional balance. If the organizing structure for that is in place, we are set up to share our Light with others as the season progresses onward towards Summer. Certainly a goal worth aspiring to!
Keeping in mind the guidance available from the Chinese Zodiac signs and the predominant I Ching Energy flows, here is some Feng Shui Guidance on how to be proactive with energies that may be interfering with your growth, happiness and prosperity.
Especially with the I Ching flow of # 6 CONFLICT, you may not be feeling safe. The easiest place for you to start making changes from a FENG SHUI perspective is to evaluate your home and property and notice the internal feelings of conflict that may come up in certain areas.
Examine whether old objects are still supporting you in the life you want to be living or getting in the way of future growth. If you’ve done pretty well with that, great! If not, perhaps one of these processes will help:

Stepping Into Spring with Feng Shui ~
Feng Shui (pronunced “fung shway”) is a Chinese term that means “wind and water” symbolizing the natural flow of “chi” or life energy that flows through our environment and supports life. Predating Taoism and Confucianism, this ancient art of flow and placement in one’s environment has been used to facilitate balance and well being in every important aspect of life. It has also been used to ensure that we are in the “right place at the right time.”
Feng Shui can make a real difference in the ch’i of your home and the success of your business by:
- Creating a more balanced and harmonious atmosphere.
- Grounding a sense of safety and stability.
- Clearing your space of stagnant, toxic or disturbing influences.
- Freeing your property of any old baggage and negative history from the past or previous occupants including: bankruptcy, criminal activity, death, illness, divorce, etc.
- Accessing a generative flow of life force to support life-affirming goals.
If you are:
- Easily overwhelmed by having too much to do
- Feeling unstable and having trouble staying grounded
- Running around in circles, getting little constructive done
- Experiencing rough communications and emotional volatility
- Having difficulty staying on track with your goals, or alternately
- Feeling very stuck and unable to move

Navigating Change with the Chinese Zodiac – Horse
The Chinese Zodiac ~
The collective unconscious has always looked for intuitive guidance from the stars and different constellations or astrological signs are often named after animals. In the Chinese Zodiac, we have just recently left the Year of the Yin Wood Snake and the Yang, Fire Horse is now into a full gallup.
The Year of the Yang Fire Horse began on February 17th, 2026.
Year of the Horse: 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026…
Complimentary Signs: Tiger and Dog. Secret Friend: Sheep/Ram.
Against Rat.
Positive Qualities: Warm-hearted. Upright. Positive. Patient. Steady.
Challenging Qualities: Emotional. Extravagant. Opinionated. Inflexible.
The Horse’s Feng Shui Mandala below can give you a sense of what the archetype of the Horse is about and how it may influence you. If you’re interested, gently contemplate it and relax. Let yourself move with the energy of it. When you’re ready, ask yourself these questions and journal the answers that come:
“What is the most important goal I can focus my energy and effort at this time during the Year of the Horse?”
“What is the general movement and direction of the energy?
How will moving with that energy help or hinder me?
What kind of energy is needed to meet my current challenges?
How can I cooperate with the Horse archetype to my best advantage?
Is there something I need to get back up on the Horse about?
If so, can I tell what they are and how can I work with the Horse better?”
Allow your intuition to come forward and bring guidance from your innermost Self.
Other questions you might ask would be:
“Are there any immediate warnings? What about the next month or so?
What’s the best way to handle myself emotionally?
Is it time to slow down or speed up?
Are there any holes or hurdles that need to be jumped over?
If so, are they emotional, physical, mental or spiritual?”
I have found this year’s Horse to be very helpful, which has been a pleasant surprise over the energy of last year’s Snake. The fire this Horse carries is creative, rather than destructive and he has a very compassionate temperament which is good for emotional healing. He seems motivated to help us keep ourselves in balance even when the trail is treacherous and circumstances are moving fast.
Here are some of our games, formulas or exercises that he likes:
Slow down and be sure you’re not getting caught up in a “no-win” situation caused by shame, blame or other intimidating projections. Listen to your intuitive hits and Develop Precognition to help you avoid trouble.
Make sure that you’re seeing the path ahead by Clearing Up Your Blind Spots.
If you’ve had a recent fall or setback, he recommends this Self-care Formula, Recovering from Trauma.
By navigating change with Horse and the Chinese Zodiac, your awareness will be enhanced – helping you to find your way through the challenging times ahead.
