You are blocking your own progress because you keep going back to past grievances and reliving them. Its time to release your attachment to misfortunes by letting go of the agreement to buy into them anymore. Once they’ve been released, look for new freedom and unexpected opportunities, then go for them.
Raccoon wants to remind you that the purpose of agreements is to help you navigate reality, which sometimes seems like nothing but a huge pile of garbage. He says, “Agreements are how we co-create our reality. Why not create common ground for mutual benefit?” He knows that working together effectively requires the agreement to do so. Yet, if common ground cannot be reached, it may be time to let go of the arrangement entirely.
Perhaps pain and suffering is being prolonged because on some level, you are unwilling to learn from your misfortunes and apply the lessons to your everyday behavior. Would the ego prefer to blame others and is more comfortable by keeping you powerless? Let go of your agreement to organize around your wounded identity. There is no freedom in keeping a grievance and playing the victim. When you take ownership of your behavior, your personal power is returned and progressive action is possible once more.
Or
You are being warned to be cautious when making new agreements with other people. Make sure that you’ve done your due diligence and fully understand all implications of the agreement. Make sure the terms are beneficial to you. If they are not, can they be re-negotiated or amended?
Agreements that are made from the ego’s point of view are filled with contradictions, obligation and trickery. Be sure that any agreement you make is something you would joyfully participate in.

In our hypnotherapy and energy medicine classes, we talk about the importance of future pacing. What is that?
Future pacing is a way to deepen the effects of any mind body healing by projecting a preferred outcome into the future. Let’s use that idea to solidify what you’ve just learned in your previous mind exercise.
Start Future Pacing by Getting Calm and Relaxed
Use River Medicine to relax and adjust the volume on your senses.
Remember that when your senses are out of balance, it’s easy to get lost and fall out of your natural flow.
River Medicine beckons us to calm down and flow with the river of life. When we allow this experience, we can hear the truth of the heart and Soul more clearly.
One way to do that is to gaze softly at the Circle and imagine that you’re floating on a calm, benevolent body of water. Take the time to breathe deeply. Once you feel calmer, you’re ready to open your senses to new solutions and gifts.
Gently remind yourself about your objective: “What am I proposing to do?”
Then, follow up with, “If I follow the course of that action, what’s most likely to happen?”

Place both feet on the floor and put your hands on your knees if you can. Gaze softly at the Circle and repeat the affirmation until you feel your body has fully settled in the present.

Elevated emotions are often caused by shocking experiences that knock the senses out of balance. Have you experienced such a jarring event? When that happens, you could get sucked into a panic or overtaken by fantasies and wishful thinking. It’s important for you to calm down and change the flow you’re traveling on before you do some damage. Pull your senses back into “Now” by tuning into your heart and Soul.
If you’re having difficulty making a decision, don’t rush yourself. Breathe. Ask from a quieter place and the answer will more easily be found.
Or
You may be in a situation where it would be beneficial for you to take a chance. Nevertheless, it’s wise to calm yourself first and make sure that you’re perceiving things clearly. Look at the Circle and ask your heart: “Am I seeing things the way they really are?” You may not have a clear perception of where you are or what is truly going on.
Slow down and get back into the flow by asking the calm of the River, “What am I proposing to do?” Then, follow up with, “If I follow the course of that action, what’s most likely to happen?”
Continue your inquiry. “Is that in my best interests? Is there something that would work better?”
Follow the flow of cause and effect. You will find that clear and calm perception significantly enhances your happiness and chances for success.

It could be that your ego or someone else is telling you what you ought to be doing and there’s a hidden agenda that’s causing conflict. As you look at the Circle, ask your heart: “Is there a conflict here, and if so, what is it really about?” Let your inner strength answer.
Follow up by asking, “How can I regain my integrity without causing further harm?”
Then ask: “Where has my loyalty been in this situation?” If you are not being loyal to yourself, your power has been co-opted and you cannot be working for your higher good.
Finally, ask: “How can I regain my power?”
Follow your own advice and take care of yourself. If damage has been done, clean up your part and get back in the flow.
Courage is about knowing and standing behind your truth. You don’t need permission to be true to yourself. Use Jaguar’s Circle to help you remember a time when you had the courage to face the truth and do what needed to be done. Once you find that experience, relax and let your body remember what it feels like.

Communicating Through Moderation Puts You In a Different Flow of Energy ~
As a general rule, MODERATION is the most sensible flow to follow, especially since so much karma is playing out in the wake of environmental, political and social change. Contradictory mindsets have been fully activated and must be dealt with in one way or the other.
Just to clarify what we mean by karma here – Karma = Cause & Effect I have a thought. I make a decision. I act on the decision. Whatever I have followed through on has natural consequences. Cause & Effect. Karma.
Most people are navigating through one or another of these general karmic patterns:
Getting sucked into a negative malaise of mental, emotional, physical or spiritual decline.
Stuck in a gridlock of hatred or rebellious refusal to change.
Getting scattered or revisiting survival patterns from the past, or
Pulling themselves together into a centered position of empowered authority.
Initial Evaluation:As you softly gaze at this Circle, see which of these patterns you are currently experiencing. Ask yourself:
“Am I generally experiencing pattern #1, 2, 3 or 4?”
It could easily be a mix, depending on your mindset and what stage of the karma you’re living through.

Let’s Begin By Calming the Stress in Your Nervous System.
Your nervous system and your ability to communicate are intricately interrelated. Use this Circle for homeostasis to gently collect information about your nervous system and what will help to calm you down.
“I calm down and relax into the rhythm of my Soul.”
Take another few minutes to breathe deeply with the intention of coming back into rhythm with your Soul. Listen to your heartbeat and slow down. Let all that external noise from the outside move out.
If you’ve been in traffic, shopping at the super market or watching television, know that your nervous system takes all that in – and often doesn’t know what to do with it.
It would probably help for you to move around, stretch – or make circular movements until you feel your tension releasing. Take all the time you need with this.
Restore your sense of Self with this Circle. Gaze at it softly and remember an activity that you’ve always liked – probably something creative that brings you joy. Relax into it or keep moving if you like.

We have been going through an intense period of unstable and conflicting energies and you may be having quite a reaction to all the CHANGING that continues to play out. Bring your body back into balance by consciously breathing in on the count of three and slowly exhaling on the count of five. It’s helpful if you can breathe in through your nose.
Do that three or four times while you gaze softly at this Reiki Chakra Key that stabilizes the sacrum.

Let Go of Harmful Karmic Agreements.
Now that you know what you really need to communicate about, Use this Soul Contract Circle to help you release social, familial or religious contracts that are harmful or would pull you out of integrity with your Soul.
Gaze softly at the Circle and imagine you can send a cleansing violet flame up and down your spine while you use the affirmations:

Don’t Forget to Let Go of Your Old Agreements with the Status Quo.
The old paradigm was a system built on extreme greed and exploitation enforced through oppressive social, religious and moral contracts. Most of us are still operating out of them to one degree the other because they’ve been wired into how we go about doing our business.
It would be wise to release our agreements with that system and set up new agreements in the New Paradigm that are generative and life affirming. Especially agreements about how we communicate. This won’t just happen on its own. We need to be proactive and intentional if we want to move out of extreme communications and behavior.
“I uproot my agreements to stay stuck in or comply with harmful communication patterns from the status quo.”
“I release agreements to communicate through manipulations of the old status quo.”
(shame, blame, inequity, deceit, greed, prejudice, intimidation, hatred, contradictions, dishonesty, co-dependence, etc.)
“I decide to reorganize my communications around simple principles of co-operation, equity and sustainable prosperity.”
Let Go of Agreements to Communicate Through Stagnant Yin Energy.
The flow of Water goes down and follows the path of least resistance. When it accumulates, it can easily get stuck and stagnate.
STAGNANT YIN ENERGY
Whenever this happens, communication becomes far more easily misconstrued, diverted, ambiguous, distorted and wishy-washy. This “stuck” condition relates to current social tendencies such as apathy, resistance, self-pity and laziness. Think about the difference between how sound travels under Water and how it travels through the Air. Underwater, sounds are slow moving and muffled. You would be wise to release your agreements to utilize this very stagnant energy flow.

We need to be able to find new ways to communicate that aren’t just reruns of what has happened before.

Invoke Protection and Clarity of Mind:

Let Go of Intentions That You Don’t Need Anymore.
Check your old intentions with family, friends or business relationships that interfere with your ability to communicate more effectively. Release dishonest or extreme forms of communication like coercion, intimidation or hypocrisy. Think about old jobs or organizations you’ve been involved with – religious institutions, political agendas, educational systems, ways of doing business, etc. You don’t have to hold them up or support them anymore!
“I let go of out-dated or harmful intentions about ___________.”
“I let go of harmful intentions that other people may want me to fulfill.”
To replace them, consider carefully what new intentions would actually serve you now. Do they need to be clarified, simplified or re-organized? What do you need to have happen for yourself? “I need to ____________.”
Decide to Stop People Pleasing.
The desire to fit in at any cost is one of the most fundamental ways we do harm to ourselves. This desire can often be so extreme, we put ourselves at risk by leaving ourselves wide open to unscrupulous people who are willing to exploit us.
“I decide to respect and have faith in myself. My worth does not come from my family or other people’s opinions of me.”
“I decide to follow the middle road, based on inner guidance and self-worth.”
“I decide to __________ while I’m communicating with moderation.”
Stop Taking On Other People’s Karma.
In times of increased confusion and chaos, it’s common for people who want to avoid responsibility to systemically dump their problems and karma onto whoever will accept the blame.
If you’ve been trained to feel anxious when other people are unhappy, you might trap yourself by taking on more than your own karma. You can clarify this with the next Circle by asking these questions:
“What is my karma in this situation? What am I actually responsible for? How can I set things right in a way that’s actually helpful?”
“I let go of my karma to mistake other people’s karma for mine. I am clear about what karma is mine and what karma belongs to others. I let go of the temptation to repeat unpreferred karmic patterns.”
“I utilize my own karma to manifest _______________.”
When we try to handle other peoples karma for them, we are inadvertently complicating things by preventing things from working themselves out naturally.

Mermaid teaches us how to compassionately ask for, receive and give true help and assistance. In general, cause and effect is the best compass to follow. When you wish to receive help, see how you can give it.
Gaze into her Circle and ask yourself: “If I choose to do _______, what would I be setting into motion? Is that a good idea? What could I do to create something better?”
If you’re not getting the help you want, you may have lost your connection with your true Source and are creating a great deal of emotional drama. Perhaps you think that whining about it or acting helpless will relieve you of your responsibility. However, you know in your heart of hearts that behaving that way will do you no good.
It’s also possible that you only want help from certain people in just the way that you want. That will also get you into trouble. Ask if you’re blocking attempts from others to assist you. If so, get out of the way and accept what they’re offering, even if it’s coming from someone you never expected to give you the time of day. Remember that Love finds healing in creative situations and is waiting patiently for you to remember what works in times like this.
On the other hand, you may be indulging in fantasies or wishful thinking. Have you put your faith in a person or situation that would cast you adrift without thinking twice? If so, make a coarse correction as quickly as you can without making a lot of waves. Re-align yourself with True North to set your ship right again.
If you find yourself in the role of Mermaid yourself, ask, “What can I do in this situation that would actually be helpful?” Remember that help without limits becomes enabling. Many a sunken ship started their journey on “good intentions” that weren’t thought through carefully enough. Often times, the most compassionate thing to do is is to get out of the way.
Mermaid says that what works in times of danger is to calm down, get present, face the truth about what’s actually happening and then go for what’s genuinely needed. Love yourself unconditionally and trust what your gut is telling you.
