How to Use Feng Shui For Your Home with the I Ching to ADAPT to Change ~

Feng Shui for your home is very useful at any time there’s a change of season. It’s especially important during this transition into Summer 2021 where a lot of social structures and norms are in a state of DETERIORATION.

Luckily, we can use Feng Shui to help us bring greater harmony into our homes and offices during this key time!

*As you go through this Transformation Game, it’s good to keep the Feng Shui principle in mind about finding twelve objects you can move or rearrange in some way at the change of every season or during other times of significant change. 

Feng Shui for Your Home

The I Ching or Book of Change is also invaluable as we all navigate the change. Like Feng Shui,  it follows the movements and tendencies in the cosmos using a series of sixty-four hexagrams or energy flows. When the Feng Shui for your home can go with the flow of life, we can create more beneficial circumstances for ourselves. The I Ching energy over the next few weeks, is DETERIORATION, so this is a beneficial time to examine your home for furnishings that don’t work anymore or to clean up that old pile of financial papers! The text says:

“Rid yourself of old prejudices and opinions (objects and furnishings) that may be controlling your behavior and holding you back… You will find yourself parting ways with former inferior elements in your life as you make contact with worthwhile persons or ideals. By firmly following the superior path you will find what you are looking for, while your strength of character will greatly benefit.”

To begin assessing the Feng Shui for Your Home, it helps to focus your awareness:

I use the Intuitive Learning Circles™ as mindfulness tools for tuning into my intuition and focusing my “feng shui eyes.” You can easily learn to use them too! All you have to do is relax and gaze softly at the Circles while you gently contemplate the affirmations or questions that go with them.

For example, this Circle will help you gather up your senses and focus them on assessing the energy of your home:

“I connect with my five senses.”

“I fine tune them to be present and aware of my long term goals.”

“I use them to become aware of my environment.”

“I gain clear awareness of helpful or harmful influences in my surroundings.”

 


Mind Body IntegrationThey say that intuition is easier when all of the senses are balanced. Some may be turned up too high and some may be too low. Relax and allow your eyes to rest gently on the Circle below.

Take some deep breaths and let your shoulders drop. Adjust the volume to your senses. Do that both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body to achieve greater mind body integration and tune into your “feng shui eyes.”

Next, gaze gently at this Circle to get present and relax. Breathe deeply. Imagine that you’re slowing down, so that you can get a more objective “read” on the situation. Use an affirmation like:

“I slow down and bring my attention in, towards what’s truly important about my environment right now.”

Imagine that you can slow the energy around you down, like a slow motion replay you would see on TV. We often miss intuitive information because things are just moving too fast!

[You] “can now benefit from internal stillness. By avoiding thoughts that project too far into the future, and dispelling illusions of what can or will be, you can overcome ego-generated difficulties.” ~ Hexagram #52 MEDITATION, The I Ching Workbook, R. L Wing

So often we miss things that are right in front of us because we’re thinking about how things were in the past or worry about how things could be in the future. Truth is, we need to be very present with what’s going on right now. There’s a lot of very important things shifting and changing!

Use this Circle for the Four Seasons to get present. Notice where you are right now.  Ask yourself:

Am I fully in the present? If not, is part of me stuck in the past? Am I anxious about the future?”

Four Seasons

Feel your hands open and close. Check for the date and time. Move around. Use this affirmation: “I bring myself fully into the present.”

 

ADAPT to the changes by recalibrating your energy in accordance with your highest good.

“I am empowered and in alignment with my highest good.”

 

Finally, in order to get an accurate read, you need to trust your “gut instincts.” In this situation, do you trust your gut feeling?

I always start with a few quick check questions, starting with what needs to be removed. When you remove disturbing influences first, your environment can support you better as it suggests in I Ching Hexagram #18 REPAIR:

“The situation will develop new energy and inspiration once the problems are removed.”

Quick Check #1: Ask yourself this question while gazing softly at the Intuitive Learning Circle™ below:

“In general, do I need to remove clutter or disturbing influences from my home, yard or office?”

“If so, can I tell what they are and what I need to do?”

Interesting isn’t? You intuitively know somethings up, but need a little help to focus in on the details of what’s actually happening.

Quick Check #2: Get a sense if anything needs to be rearranged so you can optimize your chances for success in all areas of your life. Ask yourself:

“Do I need to rearrange something in my home to let go of the past and optimize my potential for success? If so, can I tell what it is or what area needs rearranging?”

Quick Check # 3: The third question is about whether or not something needs to be added. This isn’t a question about what’s fashionable, it’s about flow. Many beautiful houses are picture perfect, yet they don’t feel comfortable or welcoming. What’s missing in those cases is a harmonious flow. So, while you gaze softly at this next Circle, think about your home again, as it is currently. Ask:

“Is anything missing? Are there any holes or disturbances in the flow? If so, can I tell where they are?”

Divine Protection

Can you get an idea of what you might add to make the correction? Make sure you keep in mind the needs of the other people who live or work with you.

Making Clear Priorities to Create Happiness

Are You Making Clear Priorities Through Your True Spiritual Self, or the Ego? A Transformation Game on How to Stay Clear of Other Peoples Agendas.

Making Clear Priorities

One of the biggest components of learning how to live a happy life is making clear priorities for yourself based on the needs and desires of your own true Self. That means that you have to figure out ways to keep yourself clear of other people’s agendas and attitudes. 

This can get complicated because most people allow their egos to be in control of their mind, their decisions and their bodies. That gets to be a real problem because the egoic critical mind is often very angry, easily distracted and based on fear. Here is a comparison that I like to use:

“The ego doesn’t like to take chances; the heart and soul thrive on them.
The ego idealizes the past; the heart and soul live in the present.
The ego fears the future; the heart and soul embrace it.” ~ Gifts from the Rainforest, Rheanni Lightwater

Blockages to HappinessThere’s also a “collective ego” that tries to control societal agendas on the basis of suffering, struggle and pain. Some people would call that the “hive mind” or groupthink. If we comply and give into the groupthink, happiness is in very short supply because it’s based solely on external conditions. How much do I have and how much can I get? Under that paradigm, our only hope is to try and control how things work out for us. If we rebel, we have to fight against everything and resist. Either way, the basic premise we are reacting from is unhappiness and dissatisfaction.

This Game is associated with Hexagram #18 REPAIR from The I Ching or The Book of Change.

“Stop now and think about it. Your problems may seem to be overwhelming; things appear to be out of hand. Yet the hexagram REPAIR bodes great success. Through work you have the opportunity to totally eliminate the past indifference that has created the present uncomfortable situation. Work hard. You can see the problems clearly. The timing is excellent for making amends. Do not be afraid to take assertive action…Your own past attitude has allowed the damage to occur, making you uniquely equipped to REPAIR it.” The I Ching Workbook, R.L. Wing

Is it really possible to REPAIR the ego based model peacefully and let our spiritual Selves be in charge? How can we free ourselves from the suffering of the ego mind and respond from a place of self-love instead?”


Awareness of Our True Priorities Might Be a Good Place to Start

In this short game, you have the opportunity to examine whether you are making clear priorities for yourself based on self-love or based on suffering and struggle.

Simply gaze at each symbol with a soft focus and relax. Then engage with the questions or positive affirmations that go with each one. In this way, you can connect with your spiritual Self and get intuitive answers that come from the Soul.

A Transformation Game for Making Clear Priorities

Know When Making REPAIRS Is Needed ~

There are several reasons why we might be unconsciously tapping into the ego mind. Most of us have at least one “blind spot.” For some reason, we’ve been conditioned to listen to the ego rather than our true Spiritual Selves. Let’s see if we can remedy some of that by gazing softly at this Reiki Chakra Key, together with these positive affirmations:

“I repair my blind spot. I take ownership of my senses.”

“I use them to be present and aware.”

“I use them to sense what will keep me safe, productive and well.”

“I can clearly sense true spiritual guidance and my soul’s purpose.”

Electro-magnetic frequencies can block clear guidance and knock your senses out of balance.  

Gaze softly at this Circle and take a moment to bring your senses into balance so you can calm down and perceive things more clearly. 

Imagine you can adjust the volume in your head. Take all the time you need.

Once your senses are adjusted, it’s easier to tell what’s really going on.

Test Your Level of Awareness ~

Now you can use this Circle to safely check into how collective groupthink might be affecting you. As you gaze softly, use this simple affirmation:

Am I aware of any societal attitudes and agendas that cause me harm?”

“if so, am I fighting or complying with my ego and the collective ego?”

“I release all agreements that the ego (collective or personal) is in charge of my life, my body, my decisions or how I express myself.”

“My spiritual Self is in charge of my happiness, my karma and how I use my energy.”

Next Step – Slow Down Your Thinking ~

Relax and gaze softly at the center open space of this Circle while you repeat a few positive affirmations to yourself. If there’s a question, just be open to your gut response.

“I slow down because things may be moving too fast for me to be making clear priorities. “

“I’m willing to admit if I don’t know what’s going on. Asking for help is a blessing.”

“Is my inner guidance sending me a warning? An opportunity?”

“Am I being misguided? Do I need to let go of something?”

“Does intuition want to redirect my attention to something else?”

“In either case, am I willing to listen and learn?”

Deal with Shock or Inner Conflicts ~

You may be experiencing shock that’s interfering with your ability to shift your thinking and concentrate on what really matters. Negative groupthink relies on shock to maintain control and manipulation. Relax and use this affirmation to help you release whatever you’re fixated on.

“I let go of fixations that are trapped in my mind. I let all rigid thoughts soften and melt away.”

Make New Decisions ~

What new decisions do you need to make for yourself? For example:

“I let go of decisions I have to screw myself or let myself be screwed.”

“I let my spirit lead me rather than my ego. I make decisions that come from my deepest wisdom.”

Other new decisions could be:

“I am loyal and true to my spiritual Self. My needs are a priority.”

“I have faith in my Self. I take good care of my Self.”

“I ________________________________.”

Reveal Your True Priorities ~

Allow the medicine of this Circle to redirect your thoughts to what your true priorities are. 

“Who and what is most important to me at this time in my life?”

“What is my natural place in this  situation – where do I belong?”

“Am I in the New Paradigm of self-love or the old paradigm based on suffering and struggle*?”

*If you are still in the old paradigm, you may be caught up in another attitude or agenda. You can go back to the beginning of the game and play again as many times as it takes for you to free yourself.

Clear the Mental and Emotional Blueprints ~

We all have family patterns and social conditioning that contribute to the tendency to get caught up in ego agendas and groupthink.

You can use this symbol for dissolving destructive blueprints to identify them in your unconscious mind and clear them out. Just imagine the harmful thoughts, emotions and attitudes are like dark clouds, dissolving away or disappearing into the Sun.

REPAIR Your Communications ~

We’re nearly done now. Use this Circle to help you communicate your priorities from the center of your being! Use this affirmation to help you:

“I communicate my priorities with ease. My intention is clear.”

 

Finally! It’s time to close the door on all those misuses of your time, attention and energies.

“I close the door on harmful agendas and groupthink.

I seal and heal any drain or strain on my time, space, attention or energy.

I follow the direction of healthy protection.

I trust the wisdom of my Soul and true spiritual Self.”

Congratulations! 

You have gone through a process of making clear priorities based on your spiritual Self rather than the ego. It’s time to go out and celebrate your new freedom by doing something that’s truly important to you!

Resolving Shock and Confusion

This mind exercise uses the Intuitive Learning Circle method for resolving shock when you are:

  • Caught in a blank or fixed state of mind
  • Waking up at night worried, with obsessive thoughts

  • Alternately feeling trapped and shattered.

Any person involved in a traumatic event could experience disorientation, numbness, mental confusion or fragmentation. They might even disconnect and leave their body. This includes people who are witness to traumatic experiences in some way. These are all ways that the unconscious mind protects us during a traumatic event.

Resolving Shock and ConfusionSometimes people who’ve experienced a shocking event will tell you that they’re fine and not to worry about them. That’s because one of the main symptoms of being in shock is not being aware of being in shock. Why is that? During a shock, the mind goes blank as a form of protection.

Contrary to popular opinion, having a shock response is not a sign of spiritual weakness. It is a physiological event. Nevertheless, if the person doesn’t get a chance to get grounded in their body again – or if they’re not able to – serious problems may develop. Blocked energy and a constant state of fight or flight takes its toll over time. Statements like: “I can’t think straight,” “my life was shattered” or “I feel disconnected” describe the experience of shock.

If any of the above seems familiar, you can go through this mind exercise step by step to help you access your own innate healing abilities and bring yourself back into balance.

Simply follow the directions and see if you can free up some of the confusion and conflict that comes from shock. Here’s an example of how it works:

“I reclaim and balance my five senses.”

“I focus them to be present and aware of my body.”

“I use them to become aware of my environment and what’s important to me right now.”

“I focus on actions that benefit my well-being and happiness.”

Mind Body IntegrationFor best results, look at each symbol both crossed over the midline of the body and uncrossed so that the correction is more complete.

 


Resolving Shock and Confusion

Step One:

Take several deep breaths and relax while you look at this Circle that releases shock and inner conflict.

Imagine you can use it to focus in on a conflict or rigid thought that’s blocking your way. If your mind is blank, focus on how “blank” it is. You may get a conscious image or message, or you may not.

Once you have a sense that your mind has found the blockage, imagine you can send a beam of light directly to it. Allow your laser beam to break up the fixation until it’s gone.

Check for other blockages or conflicts that you can do the same with.

Step Two:

The next step is to bring your senses into balance so that you can see and hear things without the distortion that often accompanies shock.

As you breathe deeply, let this Circle help you to adjust the volume and pitch of your senses to just the right level for you.

Soon you will be able to hear that “calm, gentle voice” inside that reminds you about what matters the most to you:

“I see things as they really are. My senses are balanced.”

“I reconnect with what matters the most.”

Step Three:

If your gut feels tight or uncomfortable, use this Circle to help you relax in your solar plexus and get back into balance there. Your solar plexus is that soft place in your belly where your ribs go up. 

Just take a nice breath and feel it relax as you say to yourself:

“It’s safe. I feel safe and more relaxed with every breath.”

Step Four:

Sometimes a person who’s coming out of shock will be disoriented and feel a bit “out of their body.” In case that’s happening with you, take a few minutes to consciously bring yourself back into your body.

“I am at home in my heart. I am inside myself.”

You can open and close your hands. Move your fingers and wiggle your toes around. Notice the time and where you are. These actions all help whenever you’re resolving shock.

Step Five:

The next thing is to make sure you’re grounded. Without proper grounding, you could be flying all over the place, wasting your time and not getting anything constructive done. That’s the last thing you want. What you decide to do matters now more than ever.

Let this Circle for grounding on the Earth help you. Place both feet on the ground and your hands on each knee while you use these affirmations:

“I uproot whatever is confusing me.”

“I decide to get grounded. The Earth supports me.”

Take all the time you need with this.

Step Six:

Oftentimes, resolving shock and confusion requires a change in priorities. There may be certain plans, ideas or habitual patterns that make you feel trapped or confused. You can use this symbol for dissolving destructive blueprints to help you identify them and dissolve whatever is confusing you.

Simply imagine that the negative patterns in your mind are like dark clouds or a jumbled maze of lines, dead ends and cages.

Once you have the image, bring the pure light of the Sun in and dissolve the maze completely.

You’ll know that you’re done when you can see yourself standing in a beautiful open field with clear blue skies all around.

Step 7:

Be sure to seal and heal any holes, leaks or openings in your energy field. Leaky energy may open you up to danger or allow harmful energies to attach to you. It can also leave you feeling drained and exhausted.

As you gaze at the Circle, imagine harmful leaks and openings are closing as if they were never there.

“All holes are healed and sealed.”

“I follow the protection of healthy direction.”

Step 8.

To finish this exercise, let your heart recover. This Circle will help you to balance your heart energy and clear away any residual heaviness. Breathe deeply and take your time.

“I feel the heaviness lifting up out of my heart.”

“I let it go and send it to the Sun where it can be transformed.”

“I choose to be happy and healthy.”

Thank yourself for taking the time today for resolving shock. By releasing it now, you can prevent more than you know!

When you’re finished, consider taking a nice walk outside. Nothing grounds you like being in Nature after a shock.

Achieve Your Business Goals in 2020 Using Office Feng Shui ~

Office Feng Shui in the New ParadigmAs your business changes and grows, it’s important to keep some fundamental principles about office Feng Shui in mind so that your goals for success are properly supported.

In this article I’m going to share several basic issues and remedies I often use when working with clients who want to know how to set up their office or studio space for success. Then, just for some added fun and insight, we’ll also use some Intuitive Learning Circles™ to help you zero in on what your intuition says about the space you work in! Principle #1: Productivity

A smart business owner or professional pays close attention to their office or workplace environment and uses proper input to increase productivity.

What are some of the things to think about? What would a Feng Shui expert ask you about your office space? Certainly, a reliable practitioner would want to find out if something about your office is keeping you from doing your best. It’s easy to get distracted by non-essential details. You can clarify that for yourself a bit by using the Mind Exercise below.

Take a break from your busy day, slow down and see your business environment as it is right now.

This Intuitive Learning Circle™ from Gifts from the Rainforest will help you slow down, tune into your intuitive senses and clarify what’s going on. Simply gaze softly at the Circle for a few moments with a soft gaze. Relax and allow your mind to to get still.

Use these positive affirmations while you take a few breaths:

“I slow down. I choose to be calm and centered.”

“I know what my primary business goals are.”

It often helps to imagine that everything is moving in slow motion. Once your mind has stopped chattering, you’ll be able to focus on your business priorities with greater accuracy. You might want to make some notes about what’s important.

Now, turn your attention to your actual, physical working environment as it is right now. Look around:

What is your overall impression?

Do you feel productive there? Do you feel comfortable?

Do you feel competent and empowered? If not, can you tell why not?

Does anything distract you?

If so, make a note of whatever distracts you and we’ll come back to it later.

 

 

Principle #2 Grounding

A smart business owner makes sure that they feel grounded in their working environment.

If your intentions aren’t grounded in your space, your success is being severely compromised. It’s wise to rectify this situation as soon as possible.

This is another Intuitive Learning Circle™ that’s about being grounded. Use it in the same way you used the previous Circle, except this time, make sure both feet are on the ground. Relax and gaze at the Circle with a soft focus while you review the intentions you just wrote down.

“I am well grounded in the intentions I have for my business.”

Grounding.

Ungrounded Office Feng ShuiNow, ask yourself another set of questions: 

“Is this building/room grounded?

Am I able to think clearly in my environment?

Do I easily get tossed around or overwhelmed?”

If you’re having a problem here, it’s a really good idea to get the room grounded. You can either get a professional help or you could try standing or sitting in the middle of the space and use this affirmation while you gaze quietly at the Reiki Chakra Key below:

 “I am grounded in this space.”

Connect with Mother Earth.

Additional tips if you’re having trouble grounding:

I often use obsidian to keep spaces grounded here in the Southwest area of the United States. Find a good size rock and place it somewhere unobtrusive as close to the center of the room as is practical.

You may have your own favorite techniques for getting grounded. Go ahead and try them. You can confirm whether they’ve worked or not by looking at this Circle for Soul connection and asking:

 “Is the space grounded now? If not, what would help?”

Follow the suggestions you get until the answer comes back positive. If you feel that there’s a lot of interference, you can try one of my favorite Mind Exercises: Grounding in the Truth. 

 

Principle #3: Support

A smart business owner makes sure that the decor in their working environment supports their intention.

If you own a restaurant, you’ll want it to have an atmosphere that suits the style of eating establishment you have in mind. The needs of a fast food deli, for instance, would be quite different from a place intended for fine dining. The same goes for every kind of business – if the atmosphere doesn’t “feel” right, its success will be compromised. Another suggestionThat’s one reason why it’s usually a very good idea to keep your home office out of your bedroom. Usually sleeping well and business productivity aren’t a good mix!

Sometimes it’s hard to know whether you’re on track, so here’s another Intuitive Learning Circle to help you tune into the overall “feel” of your working environment.

As you look at this Circle, imagine your space again in your mind’s eye, then ask yourself these questions: 

“Does the decor support my true intentions for this business?”

“Am I feeling nurtured here? Do I feel stressed here? If so, why?”

“What might help me tap into the energy I need to attract business success?”

Cultivate DiscernmentRheanni Lightwater: Hello, Mr. Vulture. Could you tell me if are there any humans that you respect?

V. Vulture: Hey, that’s easy. I like folks who can say “no” to things that they don’t want to do.

RL: And why is that?

VV: Because there’s too many people that don’t pay enough attention to what’s good for them, you know what I mean?

RL: I guess I don’t know what you mean exactly.

VV: Let me put it this way – people like to take chances, right?

RL: Well, quite a few of us do.

VV: Right. But a lot of those people take foolish chances just because they think their friends will like them better or they want to be cool.

RL: I think they do that because it’s easier to go along with the crowd than to be different.

VV: It may seem easier at first, but after a while they stop thinking for themselves and just do whatever other folks tell them to do. Eventually, they lose touch with their gut instincts.

RL: You mean they stop taking care of themselves?

VV: That’s right. That makes them easy prey for vultures like me. Now, if folks would pay attention to their gut feelings, they would know whether they really want to do something or if they’re just being taken for a ride.

If you don’t mind a little friendly advice, take a look at the Circle I sent you, while you ask yourself this question:

“Is there a situation in my life right now, where I’m in danger or being taken advantage of in a harmful way?”

If the answer that comes to you is no, then good for you! You are listening to your gut instincts.  But, If the answer is yes, you might want to ask what that situation is and what to do about it. It’s always a good idea to know when someone is lying to you. 

It’s even more important to realize when you’ve been lying to yourself!

RL: That sounds like pretty good advice.

VV: You bet! Take it from someone who knows.

Welcome to our self-care formula for emotional healing and stress – It’s time to open a Gateway to Peace.

This Mind Exercise was created to help you change your point of view and how you’re using your energy, so that you can more easily experience peace. Going through this simple, step by step process will help you find your gateway to peace, especially when everyone around you is intense and emotionally charged up! 

Consider using it before going to bed, to start your day in a peaceful frame of mind, or whenever you feel pressed in by people and need a time out.

All you have to do is read each step and then follow through on its instructions while you gaze softly at each Intuitive Learning Circle™.

An important note ~ 

mind Body IntegrationThe brain and body communicate through different channels when a part of you is crossed over the center of your body. If you feel resistant or stuck, cross or uncross a hand or foot over the midline of your body and go back to the Circle, breathing patiently. See if your thinking starts to move again. Let negative self-talk go by breathing through it.


1. Think of an intention or goal that’s important to you, yet always seems to end up in some kind of struggle or frustration.

Example: staying positive while on Facebook or other environment. 

Once you have it, gaze softly at the Circle and see if you can place your intention in the center, open space. Imagine that helpful energy is streaming down each of the lines towards your goal.

 

2. What are some of the negative thoughts and emotions that come up for you when you think about your intention?

 

3. Release any agreement you have with the idea that struggling, blaming or complaining will help you to achieve your goal.

Are there other agreements you’d like to let go of?

“I’d like to change my point of view about ____________.”

“I want to disengage from _____________.”

“I stop fixating on the problems and go for solutions instead.”

 

“I am empowered to let go of what’s harmful to me and connect with my Divine Source.”

 

4. Use this affirmation to help you clear out any negative energy from your Root Chakra.

“I clear struggle, hardship and  _________ from the foundation of how I use my energy.”

“Instead I choose to be lively, protected, energized and ___________.”

 

5. Let this symbol for dissolving destructive blueprints help you to let go of your negative thoughts and emotions.

Imagine that pressure, interference, accusations, complaints and struggles are all like black clouds in the sky and that you can dissolve them completely. Dissolve your attachment to them.

Keep breathing deeply until the sky is completely clear.

 

6. Now, bring your attention to the energy center of your heart. Get connected and let a positive light radiate out.

Once you’re ready, imagine a gateway that leads to a garden of peace filled with the beauty of nature and pure sunlight. Allow the light to grow stronger and brighter.

“I am at peace with _______________.”

 

7. Give yourself permission to open up the gate and enter your own garden of peace.

Go ahead. Open the gateway to peace in your heart and step in. Imagine the helpful energy pouring into the center of the Circle again. Imagine your Garden is surrounded by a ring of courage and determination.

What do you notice? What does it feel like?

 

 8. Ground yourself by putting both feet on the floor and centering yourself. Use this affirmation:

“It’s okay to be grounded in a paradigm of peace, equality and sustainable prosperity. This is my personal garden of peace and it’s where I belong.”

 

9. What do you need to do to protect this peaceful frame of mind and heart?

Sometimes the simplest things can make a big difference.

 

10. What will help you nurture and grow your feelings of peace?

 

11. Is there a decision to make or some inner guidance for you to follow regarding your goal or intention?

Old Soul

Make a note of it, so that you don’t forget.

 

Finish it all up now by sealing and healing any pathways or holes that lead back to old harmful patterns of frustration or suffering.

Adapting to SuccessExperiences from your past or family of origin have shaped your imagination and fostered limiting beliefs about what is possible. 

If you look around you right now, you may realize that most everything you see has been influenced by the tastes and tendencies that began in your childhood.

In your adult life, you will need to expand your imagination to find a new way to creating the happiness you desire.

Check In: Are You Tuning Into the Kind of Emotional Energy That Will Take You Where You Really Want to Go?

Sometimes people have been conditioned so deeply to be afraid or negative, they aren’t really sure what to do when things are going well. The way you view yourself and what you think you’re capable of is colored by habitual behaviors learned in early love relationships as well as childhood experiences. You may simply be struggling with old programs, entanglements and destructive tendencies.

Regardless of how it came to be, there is a simple way to change the emotional energy you’re tapping into using these Intuitive Learning Circles™ with your imagination!

 

Step One: Adapting to Success Begins with Awareness

Think about how things were communicated to you when you were little. Use this symbol to help you tap into the problem so that you can clear it out. Ask yourself:

“Is there a pattern of dysfunction that’s coming to the surface for me now? If so, is it related to family, society, career, religious upbringing or an old relationship?

The fact that it’s coming up could mean that you’re ready to ADAPT to a healthier mindset and REFORM how you’re doing things. Is that the case here? If you’re not ready, are you willing to respect your healing process and step back?


Bringing up childhood memories can often bring up a lot of confusing and conflicting information. Let this symbol for clearing out shock and fixations help you sort things out a little. Relax and gaze softly at the symbol while you breath deeply both crossed and uncrossed over the midline of your body. Once the energy around the symbol calms down, you will find that you’ve calmed down as well!

Step Two: Clarity About What Success Means

Even if you aren’t ready to clear the energy, you may be able to use your awareness in some other way to benefit you. For example, do you need to protect yourself in some way? Do you need a boost of self-confidence? Would it be good to take a few breaths and slow down? Would some movement be helpful? Gaze at the Circle with soft eyes and ask yourself:

“What does adapting to success mean to me in this situation?”

What’s really important here? What will help me?”

“Am I just getting sucked into an old habit?”

 

Step Three: Access Your Inner Wisdom

Empower yourself to follow your own advice. Let this Circle help you come up with the very best scenario that you can imagine*.

“What is the very best thing I could ask for?”

Step Four: Recalibrate Your Energy for Empowerment

Let this symbol help you connect deeply with your heart center. Affirm that you exist and that your spirit can empower your highest good.

Write down your request, in your own words. Take the time to let those words come from your heart.

Relax and bring your senses into balance.

Then, imagine your request. See it, hear it, taste it, smell it and feel it as specifically as you can.

 

Step Seven:

If you’re having trouble imagining anything or your mind is going blank, you have probably accessed an inner conflict. Gaze softly at this Circle, relax and let the lines get all wavey. Continue to breathe while you gently release the conflict(s). Once the energy calms down, you will either know what you want or know what to do to help you get there. For example, you could go back to Step Three and ask the question again until your request becomes clear or you could Retrain Your Mind To Go for Joy.

Congratulations! You now know what the pattern is and how you would like it to change. This is an important first step in the process of ADAPTING to success.”

Learning Resiliency with Mind Exercises

Learning resiliency is another way to say “I want to know how to be stronger and in charge of myself.”

One of the biggest challenges in learning resiliency is dealing with energy drains.

Learning Resiliency - Getting sucked into an energy drainIt’s so easy to get sucked into negative, disaster thinking. All you have to do is turn on any form of media and within minutes you’re hit with intense waves of anger, fear, even paranoia. Before you know it, you can hear that loud, sucking sound of your energy being drained right out of you!

Of course there are plenty of disastrous events that are actually happening. It doesn’t pay to isolate, live in denial or surround yourself with ‘nothing to see here’ apathy. However, paying too much attention to problems while ignoring the solutions is like feeding a shark and then expecting it to behave nicely. It ain’t gonna happen!

Our problems can’t be solved from the same mental position they were created from. A positive balance can be struck by consciously pulling your attention and energy away from the problems and redirecting them to genuinely helpful solutions.

It may sound hard to do, but learning resiliency through this short Mind Exercises is a simple 4 Step process.

With the Intuitive Learning Circle™ method, you can easily use the Circles below as refocusing tools. All you have to do is be open and follow the simple directions. Each Circle helps gather unconscious information, organize awareness and illuminate solutions that come directly from your Soul. You are in charge!

Start out by taking a moment to consider the kinds of situations that really suck you in. Your energy drain could be anything – work, family, politics, technology, social media or even a personal relationship.

What energy drain comes to mind first?

Next, scroll down and gaze softly at the short sequence of Intuitive Learning Circles™ below. Let each Circle help you access intuitive answers to the questions that go along with them.

Step 1:

Take a moment to relax and take a few deep breaths. Let your shoulders drop and gently look at the Circle in whatever way that appeals to you. Once you feel pretty relaxed. Ask yourself this question:

“What am I paying too much attention to that isn’t in my best interests?”

It’s important that you take whatever answer comes to you because that answer is your Inner Guidance speaking to you.

Protection

Step 2:

Gaze softly at this next Circle that helps you access your unconscious decisions:

“What decisions am I making about this situation? What have I decided about myself? Are those productive thoughts?”

If they are productive, great! Make them even stronger.

If they’re not productive, what kind of thoughts and decisions would be better for you to make? Don’t judge, just keep a mental note. Oftentimes when we change our decisions, the situation begins to change too.

Step 3:

As you gaze at this Circle, ask yourself:

“Am I willing to close the pathways in my awareness that lead to disaster thinking and energy drains?”

If the answer is yes, use your imagination with this Circle to see the pathways close, as if they were never there. 

Step 4:

Am I heading in the direction that is genuinely helpful to me?”

If the answer you get is no, imagine that your spirit is gently turning you in the direction that would be most helpful to you.

Once you’re clear that you’re heading in the right direction, you have successfully pulled yourself out of disaster thinking.

Congratulations!

Now that you know how to use the Circles and what they can do, you might want to experiment some more. There’s a list of possibilities in the next section.

For a lot of us, a tremendous amount of our energy has been focused on externally sourced goals. We try so hard to win, to look good, to escape punishment or be “right.” Sadly, most of us are taught that we’re supposed to be perfect, so that’s what we’ve trained the mind to go for.

Retrain Your Mind - Let Go of "Being Perfect"But what does “perfection” mean? Whose definition of being perfect are we using? Our parents? Mom? Dad? Our boss? Our family? Religion? The media? All of these definitions are externally sourced and full of contradictions.

More often than not, “perfection” simply means doing what somebody else wants us to do. No wonder so many of us are spinning around, chasing after a hundred different things! Going for perfection usually creates pressure, confusion and an overwhelmed mind!

Retrain Your MindOn the other hand, going for joy usually creates more joy – which connects us with our true creative spark, which seems as though it would be much better. However, in some situations, it might be even more effective to go for “freedom”, “balance” or “sustainable prosperity.”

This short exercise will get you started. I’ve put it together to help you discover a way to refocus on internally sourced goals that are joyful and genuinely meaningful for you! All you have to do is relax and gaze softly at the Circles while you gently contemplate the affirmations or questions that go with them. Here’s an example:

“I reclaim and balance my five senses.”

“I fine tune them to be present and aware of my Soul and its purpose.”

“I use them to become aware of interference, obstacles and false ideas about ‘perfection’.”

“I focus on beneficial opportunities, solutions and ________.”

An important note about Mind Body Integration ~ 

Retrain Your Mind for Mind Body IntegrationThe brain and body communicate through different channels when a part of you is crossed over the center of your body. As you go through the steps, cross and uncross a hand or foot over the midline of your body when you gaze at each Circle. Use a soft focus and breathe patiently. This will help you integrate your thinking more fully so that you can be more creative. If you have any negative self-talk, let it go by breathing through it.

Feel free to move at anytime in any way to help you embody your experience!


Okay, so let’s begin to retrain your mind…

Step One: In your current situation, who or what is defining “perfection” for you?

Perhaps it’s the media or something you learned at home or in school.

Wherever it came from, does that definition create joy for you? Is it creating more balance or freedom?

So, what are you actually asking your mind to accomplish?

 

Step Two: How much of your energy have you been sending to this definition?

If it were a percentage, what might it be?

10%? 20%? 50% or more?

Would you like to send that energy to create more joy in this situation instead?

 

Step Three: Imagine you can retrain your mind to reorganize itself around “joy,” rather than “perfection”.

Place the word “Joy,” “Balance” or “Freedom” in the center, open space of the Circle and soften your gaze. Relax. While you’re doing this, the Circle may seem to rotate, spin or even change colors. If that happens – go with it. Release control of the experience and let your thoughts re-arrange themselves. Your new goal may turn into images, experiences, colors, sounds or movements. Let it happen! You will know that the process is complete when the energy subsides.

You can get up and move around if you like. Take all the time that you need so you can align with your stars!

 

Step Four: Think about your situation again. What do you really want to accomplish?

 

Step Five: Take a moment to clarify. Focus inwardly on what’s most important for you.

Remember to keep breathing!

 

Step Six: Clear the energy in your Heart Chakra so you can connect your ideas about Joy with the true creative spark of your life force.

From there, connect with your other intentions for balance, freedom, sustainable prosperity, etc.

Keep directing the energy to the center open space of the Circle. Doing so will help you bring your true intentions more fully into the center of your life!

 

Step Seven: How might you approach your life situation differently now? What action can you take that will help you know you’re going for joy?

How is it different when you go for balance or freedom? What about sustainable prosperity?

Step Eight: Choose more beneficial ingredients from the Field of Potential to create the “soup” of your life.

The Essential Human* If you have a copy of The Essential Human, now would be a good time to use Future Pacing on page 140 to help you project a preferred outcome into the future. Choose new ingredients from The Essential Human #1 – 42. Use this affirmation:

“I release harmful ingredients and access beneficial ingredients.”

 

Step Nine: Now that you’ve refocused your thoughts and energy on joy, take a break. Give your mind less to have to think about.

“I close the door on all that confusion. I give my mind a rest.”
