Healing Meditation for Worrying

Energy Healing Meditations

Using the Intuitive Learning Circles

One of the most harmful mental traps we can fall into is the habit of worrying. It can disturb our sleep, make us tired, interfere with our work, destroy our relationships and there is nothing like worrying to ripen negative karma. It’s been said that worrying is like praying for something bad to happen and I totally agree with that statement. Yet, for most of us it is so deeply ingrained that we hardly even notice when we’re doing it, let alone knowing how to stop. This healing formula will help you to become aware of what you are doing and assist you in retraining your mind so that worrying stops being so automatic and becomes a thing of the past. Like our other meditations and self-hypnosis formulas, we will be using the Intuitive Learning Circles from Soul Prayer Charts and Gifts from the Rainforest.

These workbooks are part of a special self-realization package called “Spiritual Healing for the New Millennium.”

Soul Prayer Charts - Tools for Spiritual TransformationGifts From the Rainforest - Medicine for Healing the Modern Mind

I will list the name and number of the Intuitive Learning Circle and then give directions on how to use them. G means that the healing circle can be found in Gifts from the Rainforest and SC means that the circle comes from Soul Prayer Charts.

Step One – Abandoning Negative Thoughts and Worry – the Obstructions to a Healthier, Happier Life

Directions: Get out a piece of paper and a pen and set aside about 20 minutes to go through this exercise.

SC #23 (Divine Perspective)

Take several deep breaths as you gaze softly at this first circle.

What does your body feel like?

For instance, does it feel heavy, tired, sore  etc?

How would you describe your mental/emotional mindset?

Would you say it is anxious, on edge, hyper-vigilant, or something else?

Make a note of what you notice on your piece of paper.
* Note: Allow your intuition to inform and lead you through the following sequence of questions or affirmations. How do you know whether you are listening to your intuition rather than your negative, habitual thinking? Your intuition is not loud, demanding, emotional or dramatic. It’s almost always the very first thought that comes to you. However, it tends to be very gentle, like a soft voice that comes from your heart, so trust the first thought that comes to you and don’t second guess yourself.

G #29 (Chigger Medicine)

This circle helps people release things that are irritating them. As you look at it, stay relaxed. Cross your legs and ask yourself this question:

“What are some of the things that are nagging at me?”

Write them down so that you can get them out of your head and on paper where you can see them for what they really are. Just keep writing until you’ve gotten all the thoughts out of your mind, no matter how irrational or strange they might seem.

Repeat with your legs uncrossed. Remember that looking at each circle with legs crossed and uncrossed will deepen the healing experience.

Here are some more questions that might dig up more of those sneakier irritations. Fill in the blanks with answers that come while looking at the circle:

“I’m worried that ____________ will happen.”

“I’m afraid that ______________.”

“I can’t ____________.”

“I keep seeing flashes of _______________.”

G #17 (Jaguar Medicine)

Once you’re done writing things down, look at the jaguar medicine circle and breathe deeply to bring strength and courage back into your heart.

“I fill my heart with strength and courage.”

whitespace

SC #14 (Soul Color)

Continue breathing and look at this Soul Chart for several minutes:

“I bring clarity and energy back into my mind and body.”

whitespace

G #44 (Garden Medicine)

Your mind has gotten lost in a dark place. Bring it back by bringing your attention to the very center of this circle. Imagine that you are in a beautiful garden that is filled with love, beauty and light.

whitespace

G #39 (Yarrow Medicine)

Imagine that there are lots of beautiful yellow flowers in your garden – fragrant and alive. Keep breathing and feel your body expand:

“I am filled with light, healing and love.”

It might help to move around and stretch your body. Go ahead and take a few moments to do that if you want.

SC #22 (Inner Divinity)
Use this next circle to help you bring your energy and attention down into your heart. If it helps, you can actually place your hands on your heart.

“I am centered and present in my heart.”

whitespace

SC #7 True Self

Now imagine that you are removing the parts of you that want to worry. See them coming off of you like layers of old, heavy clothes and overcoats.

“I free myself from the prison of worrying.”

Notice how you are feeling now. Do you feel better than you did when you started the formula?

If you do, I would suggest that you go through this short formula before going to bed or any time you notice that you’re falling into that dark, worrying space again. I promise, you will be amazed at how many things your mind wants to worry about.

whitespace

SC #6 (Auric Bodies)

Now imagine that the auras around your body are healing themselves and regaining their integrity.

“I value myself. My life has meaning.”

whitespace

G #33 (Llama Medicine)

Before you look at this last circle, review your list of worries. How many of them are things that you can really do something about?

Now finish with these final affirmations:

“I decide that worrying serves no positive purpose.”

“I decide to take action where it is appropriate.”

whitespace

Congratulations!

If you get really ambitious and decide that you want to make your life more meaningful, make a commitment to yourself that you are going to retrain your mind to be more positive in 2010.

Go through the formula every day for 21 days and systematically program your mind to disengage from worry and focus on happiness instead.
