Healing Habitual, Negative Thinking
Re-identifying with your Source
This class uses circles from the workbook “Soul Prayer Charts” and “Gifts from the Rainforest” to clear your mind and thinking.
Conditions in our lives come from our thoughts. When those thoughts are angry or fear-based - if we put ourselves down or see ourselves as victims, that is what the world will mirror back to us. If we believe that we are unworthy, unlovable, incompetent or bad, our lack of love for ourselves will show up in failed relationships, addictions, compulsions, obsessions and self-sabotage.
What are some of the habitual thoughts you still have about yourself? Do you believe them? What about your beliefs about the rest of the world? Perhaps you have a general outlook that the world is a dangerous, hateful place and that the people in it are violent. Everyone has those thoughts occasionally, but if they are pervasive, the malignancies show up as cynicism and hopelessness.
As a person who is learning to identify with your Source, you are in essence giving your Soul permission to be in charge of your life and heal your thinking. You are learning to identify more strongly with the virtues of hope, gratitude, forgiveness and compassion and are consciously strengthening those values by nurturing thoughts of competence, encouragement and self-worth. As you do so, you are discovering that your Soul actually wants you to be happy.
You may notice that when you fall back into identifying with your ego, you are being run by lots of thoughts, agendas and expectations about what should and should not happen. With the ego, being right takes priority over being happy. Acquiring things and gaining approval from the outside world becomes the measuring stick for success without regard to the inner self.
If you are sourcing from your ego and identifying with hopelessness or cynicism, you are obviously in a poor position to hope for anything better in your life. Your ego insists “that’s just the way it is, so you’d better just give up”. Then, the next minute it’s telling you, “what’s the matter with you? You shouldn’t let them get away with that!” This is how your ego keeps you in conflict.
Luckily, your Soul knows better. Soul knows that when you have given up hope, you have lost connection in some way and that there is unresolved grief at the bottom of it. The good news is that if you are willing to accept your grief, you can regain your connection, heal your thinking, and re-identify with your Source. The following series of graphs is designed to assist you in doing that.
Remember that when you are viewing the graphs
Read the affirmation provided below and then look at the indicated graph one at a time with a soft gaze for approximately one minute. A shorter or longer time may be necessary. The graph is providing structural support for the contents of the intention, affirmation or question that accompanies it. Just breathe deeply and relax. Allow yourself to be open and receiving. You may notice subtle energies, memories or emotions running through you or the graphs may begin to move, pulsate or even change colors. This is all part of the experience. Just keep breathing; relax into your body and stay objective - just as you would in a state of meditation. You are encouraged to journal on insights or new ideas that may come to you during the exercise.
Step One: Set the stage for healing to occur.
What is making you happy in your life right now?
What is making you unhappy?
Which one do you tend to focus on?
What does your True Self genuinely want to have happen?

Who or what are you still fighting with?
Are you ready, willing and able to surrender to help from your Soul?

What do you believe will happen if things don’t turn out the way you want them to?
Do you think the answer you just came up with comes from your ego or your Soul?
Are you willing to re-identify with your Source?

The next step is to take a few minutes to look at a sequence of circles out of Gifts From the Rainforest and Soul Prayer Charts that will help you to find resolution within yourself.
Note - G indicates Gifts From the Rainforest and S indicates Soul Prayer Charts.

Step Two: Get clear about what’s really bothering you.
G #49 Old Sol
Bring in your Higher Self and give it permission to access your hopelessness and cynicism.
G #38 Shaman’s Leaves
Quickly make a list of all the things that aren’t working in your life right now.
Write all of them down no matter how outlandish or illogical they may seem.
Now is your opportunity to get everything off your chest.
Step Three: Make sure that you are dealing with your stuff and not someone elses.
G #48 River
If the ego has been in charge, you are dealing with a blind spot within yourself. Use this circle to balance out your senses and ask your Soul to help you percieve things as they really are.
G #7 Snake
Release any agreement you may have to take on someone else’s problems. Release any agreement to pay the price for someone else’s mistakes. Then shed any issues, mistakes or pains that are not yours, like a snake shedding its skin.
G #2 Vulture
If you are feeling obligated, victimized or guilty in any way, free yourself. Begin by releasing any agreement you might have to punish yourself or be punished by others, including God. Release any agreement that would prevent you from speaking your truth or being loyal to your Soul.
Step Four: Deal with your stuff.
S #11 Earth
Imagine that your ego has constructed houses of pain, pity, fear and suffering. Allow your Soul to help you dissolve those houses now by affirming:
“Sacrifice and pain will not get me anywhere.”
G #47 Star
Many times we cause ourselves unnecessary grief because we have misunderstood something or someone in a situation. Straighten out your thinking to understand what is really going on.
“I understand how this experience can help me to grow.”
G #30 Fish
How are you a better person because of this experience? Make list.
Step Five: Transcend the ego.
S #8 Sky
As you look at this circle, remind yourself of what your Soul wants you to experience in this lifetime. Fill in the blank:
“I came here to _________________.”G #8 Piranha
Helen Keller once said, “When one doors closes, another door opens.”
Use this graph to close the door to the pathways that you know will lead you to unhappiness.
G #19 Fly
Use this circle to open a door to happiness. Let your Soul reveal to you a symbol, picture or phrase that represents happiness to you. See a pathway being built between you and your happiness.
G #43 Early Morning Storm
Clear away the attraction to unhappiness in your personal field by using this affirmation:
“I believe that I can be happy.”
SC #13 Fifth Chamber
Affirm your connection to God Consciousness through your Soul:
“I am filled with forgiveness, hope, faith and trust.”
Release your connections to hopelessness, self-pity, disloyalty, revenge and cynicism.

Congratulations! You are now becoming more closely aligned with your Soul. Remember to keep your symbol of happiness in mind to counteract the negative attraction of pain and suffering.
