Using the Intuitive Learning Circles
Abandoning Meaningless Distractions and Activities
The Obstacles to Concentration

Kuan Yin wants to remind us that “Meaningless Distraction and Activities” refers to all those thoughts and activities that pull us away from the experience of happiness.
The following sequence of Intuitive Learning Circles is designed to create a healthy pathway to single-minded concentration through meditation for those issues where you are experiencing a blockage. For example, perhaps you have a desire to be more patient and you know that being more patient would help you to become a happier person. Yet, you might also be having trouble getting in touch with what that means or how you might accomplish that goal. In this case you would want to make the determination, “In order to be the person I want to be, I must develop patience. In order to develop patience, I must be able to concentrate and remove meaningless distractions from my mind.”
The first time you go through this, take the time to read the accompanying message to help you understand the nature of the medicine and how it can help you. After that using the symbols alone is fine. Eventually, you will have opened up the appropriate neural pathways and will be able to automatically access this process without having to look at the circles.
Let’s use her Intuitive Learning Meditation using “Gifts from the Rainforest” and “Soul Prayer Charts”…
These workbooks are part of a special self-realization package called “Spiritual Healing for the New Millennium.”
I will list the name and number of the Intuitive Learning Circle and then give directions on how to use them. G means that the healing circle can be found in Gifts from the Rainforest and SC means that the circle comes from Soul Prayer Charts.
Note: It’s always good to start any meditation session by making a general request, like “I dedicate the good merit that I accumulate by doing this meditation to developing my good qualities so that I can benefit myself and others.”
SC #1 Divine Light
As you gaze softly at this soul chart, scan your body and the immediate space around you (approximately four feet out from your body). See if you notice a sensation of heaviness, pain or darkness anywhere. Don’t do anything about it, just make a mental note of where it is and what the sensation is like.
G #3 Alligator
As you look at this circle, notice the busy thoughts in your mind, like buzzing or endless chatter. Don’t try to push it away or ignore it, just let it be.
SC #14 Soul Color
Relax and pay attention to your breath for several minutes.
G #12 Rat
Gaze very gently at this circle and repeat this affirmation: “In order to improve my concentration, I must remove distractions.” Allow your mind to analyze the truth, explore how distractions might be preventing you from focusing on the things that are important in your life. Once you have a firm feeling of conviction, repeat the following intention firmly. “I will remove meaningless distractions from my mind now.”
SC #22 Inner Divinity
As you look at this soul chart, turn you attention gently to your solar plexus and repeat this firm intention: “I am fully present.”
G #37 Seed
Repeat this intention single-mindedly for as long as you can: “I concentrate on how to _________________.
Congratulations! Once you have finished, close out your meditation as you usually do – with prayers, dedications, asking for blessings and protection for the benefit of all sentient beings.
