Countdown: Day 12 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

If we genuinely want to be successful in changing our direction, a strong inner sense of what we want to create is required. Have you carefully thought about what you want to experience and have you taken definite action towards that goal?

If not, you may be falling under the influence of this Sacred Cow:

“People are like sheep, they need someone to lead them and only certain people are capable of being leaders.”

At it’s best, this Sacred Cow creates complacency and a dependence on what’s going on outside of us. At worst, it is the foundation for cults, despotism and dictatorship.

If we are waiting to be told what to do, we aren’t really changing direction at all.

As alert people, each of us has the capacity and responsibility to make our own decisions and create our own circumstances. To tip this cow, play our game:

Countdown: 13 Days Remaining of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

Up until this point we have been going after the Sacred Cows that set the general groundwork for the Status Quo to maintain its grip on us. Today, we begin a new phase of game playing that will be much more pinpointed towards specific issues. The goal is to free up energy and release agendas that have worked against the common good.

Let’s begin by tipping the Sacred Cow that holds up a lot of progress:

“Withhold ideas, information and technology that could benefit humanity and the planet.”

Play our tipping game and release any unconscious agreement you may be carrying that supports this Sacred Cow. If you know someone who is having difficulty getting out the word about their great idea or technology, send them this game. They could get a lot out of it.

Day 14 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

My experience has shown me that whatever I fuss with increases. The more I struggle with what I’m doing, the more off course I get. Giving up doesn’t do well either, that’s like having a ship without a rudder. Being in the flow and in a state of active direction is ideal and yet for many of us, that is a very difficult balance to achieve and maintain.

It’s as if we’re caught in a Catch 22. If we work hard, we create more hard work. We want to work less, so we work harder so that we can work less - later. Likewise with the issue of Iraq, we send a clear message that we want to get out, so the Status Quo says, “to get out, we have to fight harder” and somehow, it gets away with that.

Does anyone else smell the stench of a Sacred Cow?

It seems as if we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place unless we take our cue from nature and realize that it’s the rules that are skewed, not us. You don’t see endless escalation in nature, you see cycles of growth and decline, give and take, gathering and letting go. Therefore, my suggestion on how to navigate this one has two steps. The first is to release our deeply held cultural contract that:

“Life is hard; struggling and sacrifice is the way to get things done.”

 Play the game .

This one needs to go down badly, yet she’s tricky because she’s ingrained in our belief systems, maybe even our DNA. Our habits and attitudes about work are so deeply entrenched that releasing the contract may not be enough to achieve a noticeable difference. Yet if we apply a lot of effort, we’re right back in the cycle of working harder. Perhaps the second step involves surrendering the need to work hard, struggle and fight.

Day 15 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

The further we go on our journey and the more Sacred Cows that get tipped, the easier it is to see the real agenda of those who want to stay in control. Creating and maintaining conflict of any kind is the name of the game for them. They are helped by the fact that so many contracts have been built into the very fabric of society. Nevertheless, we will persevere in tipping those Cows that interfere with our forward progress, particularly those that fuel conflict.

Conflicts get a lot of fuel from the Sacred Cow of superiority:

“Strictly enforce a moral and economic code that reinforces the power of the Status Quo.”

This contract is particularly effective because it enables the Status Quo to define and enforce the perimeters of what’s important and what’s not. Here are only a few examples:

Hard work = important
Rest = not important

Short term results = important
Long term best interests = not important

This contract also gives Society the power to impose it’s preferences about what’s good (compliance) and what’s bad (being different).

And there’s more:
Peaceful = weak
Violent = powerful

Flashy & glossy = desirable
Straightforward & basic = undesirable

Simple = less valuable
Complex = more valuable
Weapons of Mass Destruction = very valuable

Are these arbitrary value judgments coming from outside of you having a negative effect on you or your ability to manifest?

Some people would say that this kind of social imposition of values is inevitable, an inescapable by-product of a civilized people. I respond by respectfully releasing any familial, racial or national agreement that says it has to be that way.

Day 16 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction.

Anytime there is a lot of chaos going on, it’s very tempting (for me, anyway) to take sides and get distracted by the various conflicts that surround me. My intuition tells me that staying centered and grounded is the best antidote for chaos and fear.

Throughout our recorded history, the Status Quo has used trickery, false hopes and mistaken identities to gain the trust of the people and then subdue them.

Cortés the Conqueror was welcomed by the Aztec people at least partially because they thought there was a prophetic connection between his arrival and the Order of Quetzalcoatl. This event could be examined as an example of the kind of power collective, cultural agreements have and how they can be misinterpreted and/or exploited to change the course of history.

We happen to be living at a time where all kinds of prophecies from multiple cultures and religions are coming together all at once. Is it possible that these conflicting cultural contracts and how they are being interpreted and/or manipulated are causing the chaos and violence that is so prevalent? What if we could free ourselves from today’s Sacred Cow?

“Use prophecy to manipulate events and create self-fulfilling prophecies.”

Day 17 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

The waters may have been quite turbulent for you the last few days. If you haven’t given up you instinctively know that somehow you are heading in a new direction towards peace and prosperity. Many other people have participated in this game, both within the U.S. and all around the world.

The next stage in your journey is almost ready to unfold. In the days to come, you will be continuing to connect and move forward more easily with others; yet in order for that to happen smoothly, it will help to take some time and allow yourself to stabilize before moving on.

One way to explain what’s happening is to think of this process as a bowl of Jell-O. You have combined the ingredients, heated them together and poured them into the mold. Now it’s time to allow the Jell-O to set. If you keep stirring it up, it won’t form properly. It’s time to chill a little, so to speak.

With that idea in mind, let’s release the collective contract behind some of the stress we’re experiencing via the media and the politicians. Today’s Sacred Cow is:

“Keep the fear going by fueling it with speculation, uncertainty and psychodrama.”

When our minds and bodies are kept under continual stress, we are like the Jell-o that won’t set. We’re more susceptible to illness, misinformation, fantasies and accidents. Tipping this Sacred Cow will calm down the external noise a bit. Then finding some time to rest and still your mind will be a tremendous help.

Day 18 of 30 Days to Creating a Tipping Point

Elections are an opportunity a new beginning and beginnings are always filled with a myriad of opportunities. Unfortunately, we have been trained by the media and Status Quo to be easily distracted by irrevelent arguments and speculation about the future or the past.

Our strength and power lies in being fully present so that we can recognize, evaluate and make quality decisions that are based on the facts. That is the only way to create unity of purpose. That is why today’s Sacred Cow is:

“Divide and conquer.”

We are all part of the social order, regardless of our individual positions or occupations. Taking advantage of the opportunities to create more unity will keep us from floundering in a sea of contradictory and partisan goals.

Tip the Sacred Cow of Divide and Conquer.

Day 19 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

The Status Quo is angry at the prospect of actually following a new direction. Because of all the progress that has been made by many dedicated hearts, the beast is weakened and frustrated in its attempts to regain control.

One of the tactics it is likely to try is to push the use of this Sacred Cow:
“Appoint friends and associates to positions of authority, regardless of whether or not they are qualified to be there.”

I suggest that we head this one off at the pass because we have fallen for it before and a lot of damage was done.

When you go through today’s tipping game, imagine you can go back through the history of your ancestors. Think about all the traumatic experiences they went through on account of decisions that some unqualified crony made; wars, occupations, genocide, crusades, slavery, broken promises, mismanagement and so on.

As the living heir of your family, exercise your authority and release all those agreements. See every last unjust appointment, treaty and decree burn away into nothingness. Then consciously make a new agreement to incorporate competence and honesty into your new direction.

Day 20 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

Long, long ago, the Status Quo established a particularly opportunist Sacred Cow to use whenever cornered by their own abuse of power. This collective agreement was bred and perpetuated into the people through the use of force and trauma to avoid responsibility:

“Blame the Victim.”

The way it often works is for the perpetrator to insist that they had no choice – they had to do whatever it was they did because of the victim. They are able to depend on compliance because the victims are so used to being abused, falling into the roll almost automatically. A victim readily accepts blame because that is what they have been trained to do through repeated traumatic events.

Let’s tip this Sacred Cow and send a clear message that there is always more than one choice. Thank you for your participation - you are making a difference.

Day 22 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in DirectionWe are heading for another major Sacred Cow and her siblings, and they just love to keep us stuck in the mire of doubt, fear and cynicism:

“Without the Status Quo in charge, the world would fall into chaos and be destroyed.”

This “big one” sets the playing field up so that the others can spread their misinformation and thinly veiled threats throughout the pasture, keeping people like us corralled into a scenario of doom and gloom. This manure creates thoughts in our heads, like these:

~ “You don’t know what you’re doing.”
~ “You obviously don’t understand.”
~ “You’re lost.”
~ “What if you make a mistake?”

Those kinds of thoughts don’t lead us in a new direction, they take us right back to avoidance of our own power and being willing to settle for less.

“It’s too hard. We don’t have a chance – we’re screwed.”
“I’m stuck, we’re stuck, the whole world is stuck. Let’s face it, there’s no way out”.

We aren’t stuck; we’re heading in the wrong direction. Let go fo your personal, familial and cultural agreement to be lead around by the Status Quo. Tip the cow and make a new commitment to a change in direction. Not just any change, a real change that has freedom, peace and prosperity at its core.
