is helping us to answer our questions about how to properly nourish ourselves as we transition into new and different ways to manifest our heart’s desires. Her advice comes from the I Ching, an ancient Chinese text that follows and predicts movements and energy flow in the cosmos.

The I Ching energy that is most appropriate for this time of the season in North America is Hexagram #27 NOURISHING. However, the advice that is given can be useful at any time, for anyone seeking to make positive improvements in their lives:
“Exercise unrelenting discipline over your thought patterns. Cultivate only productive opinions and attitudes in order to properly nourish your character. If you are engaged in activity at this time, keep your mind as calm and relaxed as possible.” ~ The I Ching Workbook by R. L. Wing (Doubleday)

Nourishing Your Heart’s Desires Through Clarity

“Many people say that they are tired of pushing and trying to force things to happen. They claim that they would like to enjoy their livelihoods and create through love and respect, rather than hatred, competition or fear. Most people do want to be happy, yet the Old Paradigm offers few examples of how that could actually work. Because of this, it’s entirely understandable that even those with the best intentions get lost in a sea of confusion and misinformation.

To clarify what will actually help you get out of the quagmire, here are some suggestions that you can investigate for yourself through this short Intuitive Learning Game.

Trans-generational Healing for the New Paradigm

Suggestion #1: Go within for creative nourishment

The ego is only able to recreate what it already knows, so to get clear answers about how to create in a new way, you are best served by going to your spiritual source and asking for guidance. In order to get clear guidance, go within and get quiet. Those who are conditioned to look for answers from the media or other forms of the status quo will have a difficult time coming up with answers that will actually create happiness.

“I allow myself to go within for answers.”

“I allow myself to get quiet.”

Suggestion #2: Look at what is motivating you

Since time began, people have been taught that forcing through guilt, greed, anger or revenge is the best way to get things done, and it is true – these emotions are very motivating and give one a transient sense of power. Unfortunately, whenever one is motivated by something, that something is NOURISHED and grows ever stronger. If that is not what you intend for yourself, you might want to let go of the belief that you need these emotions to motivate you or survive.

Use this Soul Contract Circle to help you access conscious and unconscious conditioning, assumptions and false beliefs that are being held in your nervous system. Imagine this misinformation is like a tangled net that keeps you in the dark. See the net dissolving as you use the affirmations below:

“I let go of the belief that I need to get angry or upset to to get things done.”

“I release the agreement that life has to be hard.”

“I release any agreement to carry on any negative family Karma. This includes family conflicts, grudges, guilt, illnesses, curses, feuds, etc.”

“My new agreement is to be forgiving, patient and kind with myself as I learn new ways of being.”

Suggestion #3: Have the courage to be honest with yourself about how you are really feeling

This is another important step. Courage has been the motivator for the greatest advances in your history, and now is no different. Are you willing to NOURISH courage within yourself to do something new? Those who can’t access the courage it takes to be honest with themselves about how they are really feeling have suppressed emotions that will come out in negative ways to subvert their intentions.

Take a few moments and gaze softly at this Circle. Allow yourself to relax as much as possible.

Once you feel relaxed, ask your heart these simple questions:

“Am I willing to be honest with myself in order to live a happier life? If not, why not?”

“Am I pretending that something isn’t bothering me, when really it is?”

“Am I WILLING to activate the courage I need to make positive changes?”

Suggestion #4: Be willing to let go of habits, behaviors and beliefs that you picked up from someone else.

If you are carrying someone else’s issues, you will have a very difficult time finding room to be happy. They could be societal, family or tribal issues. They could also come from love relationships or other close relationships. Use this symbol to imagine a big, heavy baggage filled with negative ideas and emotions that someone dropped at your front door. You realize that the baggage isn’t even yours and you are still carrying it around! Consciously decide to set it down and see it going back to wherever it belongs.

Suggestion #5: Keep Choosing the Light, Rather Than the Dark.

Use this symbol to surround and fill yourself with light. Imagine that with every breath you are filling up your body with pure, healing light. Remember, like attracts like, so if you are being the light, you will attract more of it.

“I am surrounded and filled with the pure light of creation.”

Suggestion #6: Recognize that the attachment or aversion you have to negativity exists in your own mind – and that you can change that.

You may not be able to change what others are doing, however, you can change the patterns you use when you respond. Use this last symbol to help you dissolve the patterns of control, manipulation, anger and fear that hide out in your sub-conscious mind. You can imagine these patterns like black clouds, dream images or vast amounts of data that dissolve into the pure light of day. Consider the affirmations below to help you identify them and let them go.

“I release and dissolve any karmic patterns that come through my family line, including prejudice, guilt, fear, poverty or intolerance.”

“I release all patterns of revenge, retribution or self-righteousness, regardless of where they came from or how they got there.”

“I dissolve patterns of greed or resentment that I have learned or created for myself.”

If you like, you can contemplate more specific behavior patterns that are causing you problems and dissolve them from your mental continuum now. Examples might be impatience, sarcasm, violence, victimization or self-pity – any conditioning that could keep you in the dark.

Even though you may not consciously be aware of what karmic pattern you are operating out of, going through this process will help you to gently let them go.

Congratulations! Now is a good time to take very good care of yourself. Relax. Take a walk in nature and let it all go.

Last week we dealt with many of the chaotic energies having to do with family, partnerships and other close relationships. We came to the conclusion that RETREATING by going within and accessing freedom was the best way to respond to some very difficult news and events.

The I Ching energy for the United States through April 13th is Hexagram #2 NATURAL RESPONSE. The actual text states:

“The yielding and responsive quality of nature is the focus of this time. Nature follows with sensitivity the demands of the seasons, It reproduces, adapts, and evolves itself appropriately; it heals itself when injured and deftly maintains a balanced economy. Nature is the responsive, yielding background for all events on earth. The power of this time lies in reacting with a NATURAL RESPONSE to the myriad things around you, a response in keeping with the laws of nature.

At this time you are dealing with realities rather than potentials. You can know only the situation around you but not the forces behind it. Therefore you should not act independently or try to lead others. If you do, you will lose the way and become confused…you need friends and helpers to accomplish your aims. If you can accept this you will find guidance. Once you respond naturally and allow yourself to be led, even the greatest goals can be attained.”

“There are times when the I Ching flow requires for humans to be as calm and still as possible. The NATURAL RESPONSE to this short influx of powerful energy is to remain centered within yourself and to refrain from taking aggressive action or pushing your own agenda.

The ideal of feminine receptivity is a good model to follow. There is much going on and it’s better to lay low. A time for renewed activity and advancement is coming soon, however, for now go within, meditate and pray for the end of fear.

This Intuitive Learning Game will help you come from your heart, gently release your fears and reorganize your energy field so that you can receive guidance, clarity and healing from your Inner Wisdom.

The circles that we use in this game come from Gifts from the Rainforest,  Soul Prayer Charts and Reiki Chakra Keys, which are both available for sale on this website. These healing and awareness tools work with your intention and imagination to bring you into alignment with your true nature and inner wisdom.

Attuning To Your True Nature

1. Gaze softly at this Soul Chakra Key and bring to mind a situation that is causing you to feel anxious, fearful or out of balance as you move forward into the next stage of your life. Use the issue you come up with as the basis for this healing.

2. Notice how this situation pulls you out of your center and into fearful places. Use this Heart Chakra Key to imagine that you can pull all of your energy back into your actual physical heart.

3. There is so much fear in the world, you can’t deal with it all by yourself. Use this symbol to call in angelic beings to help you. Imagine that you can hand over your issue to a Higher Power.

4. Now use this symbol to imagine that you are rotating like a top and that all your fears, resentments or anxieties are spinning off of you via centrifugal force and that they are landing in the arms of angels or other enlightened beings, who then gently take them home to the light.

5. Next, take several minutes with this circle and allow your energy field to reorganize around the Truth that comes from your heart. The circle may move, rotate or even change colors or you may actually feel a sensation of movement. This is all good – it means that positive reorganization is taking place. Just stay with it until the movement stops.

6. Look at the circle below while using this affirmation:

“My consciousness is open and receptive to my true nature.”

Again, you might feel spacey or a little dizzy. Just keep looking at the Circle until the movement has stopped and you feel clear.

7. What is something you can do to help you be more receptive to your True Nature?

Once you’ve made a note of your answer, finish the game by looking at the circle above to release all negative Soul Contracts. See a stack of them that are still holding you down and imagine that they are all burning up now into ashes and then nothingness. You can use this affirmation:

“I release all soul contracts that prevent me from actualizing my true nature.”

Congratulations! You have successfully released some fear that has been keeping you down and allowed your Inner Wisdom to make corrections in your energy and awareness. Not only that, you have some clear direction about what you can do to be more receptive to the bounty of the Universe.

If you have other situations that are causing you concern, go through the game for them as well. Each time you play, you will feel lighter and more confident, plus you will receive further instructions on how you can help yourself and others.

The current energy is that of #10 CONDUCT, which to me has meant that how I conduct myself is especially important. There are time when taking chances or risks with your health and resources is okay. The time of CONDUCT, which should continue through 11/11/09 is not such a forgiving time. For example, if you are speeding while driving, you are much more likely to get pulled over and receive a ticket. If you feel inclined to buck the system, you will probably get bucked back pretty severely. Adhering to established customs and modes of behavior will bring the best results during this time.

Here is what Kuan Yin has to say about CONDUCT. Her advice, as always, is direct and to the point…

“There is too much time being spent on issues that have no bearing on your future prosperity. A misunderstanding regarding your purpose may be the culprit. Many people in American Society have the thought that one’s “purpose” has to do with achievements in the material world. They seek satisfaction in having things and achieving recognition. External manifestations of this kind have long been a source of confusion.

If you want to know your purpose, you must look beyond the promotion or the expectations of your family.

How you CONDUCT yourself between now and November 11th will have a profound effect on your health and well being for the next several years.

If you have been abusing your body or overextending your mind, the energy of CONDUCT will assist you in making new choices that support love and happiness.

Take the time now to weed out behaviors that are causing you harm and eliminate them. If you feel you have no willpower, now is the time to reclaim it. The next three years will be a time when “enlightenment” is within reach for many, yet how you CONDUCT yourself now will bring either blessings or misfortune, depending on the choices made during this foundational time.”

So the question becomes – “What Are You Choosing and will it hurt or hinder?

The period of time between now and 2012 will provide optimum conditions to support those who wish to achieve Liberation or Enlightenment. Knowing what to do and what not to do is of major importance if you are seriously pursuing those goals. Sometimes we can be tricked into making choices that seem good on the surface, when they actually could cause harm. Following your true Spiritual Guidance is the remedy.

You can evaluate the whether the choices you make over the next couple of years will help you on your spiritual path or take you off track using Kuan Yin’s Intuitive Learning Game for Change:

Look at this Circle with a soft gaze and think of a project that you are putting a lot of energy into or one that you are planning to put into action.

Is there something that irritates you about this project?

Does your motivation and intention come from a place of love and respect?

If not, is there something you can do to change it for the better?

Using the same project, determine how you are nourishing it.  se the Intuitive Learning Circle to get clear about what kind of energy you are using and how efficiently to are using it.

“Am I having fun with this project?” “Am I working too hard?”

“Am I applying too much or too little of my energy?”

“Is my energy getting pulled away or drained? If so, why?”

Will this project contribute to your further enlightenment?

If not, release the belief that you can afford to invest in activities that are not beneficial to your greater well being.

You should now have a very good idea whether the project you are NOURISHING is going to either help or hinder your progress over the next two years.

Go through this very quick process with any other activities you plan to put into action in the near future.

Finish off by checking to see if there are any activities that you haven’t planted yet that would benefit you if you did.

By being extra careful during this time of NOURISHING, you will be feeding positive Karmic seeds that will help you in the future.”

“An inferior situation is beginning to change for the better. Through co-operation, opposing forces can come together for mutual benefit. There is now a possibility for success in your endeavors.” ~ THE I CHING WORKBOOK by R. L. Wing

“A new energy of cooperation must be fostered in order for this change to come about. Look into your heart and see if you are willing to re-arrange your thinking a bit. The Old Paradigm was built on devision and separation. What is called for now is a WILLINGNESS to re-evaluate priorities and be open to new ideas. This is a gradual process – one that is considerate of others while remaining pragmatic and down to earth.

You are each contributing to the creation of a whole New Paradigm and what you do or don’t do has a significant impact on what is created next. Remember that the energy of SHOCKING is in effect for several more weeks.

Think of the time as if you were in a thunder storm, filled with lightening and great torrents of rain. If you are standing out in the middle of it, you must keep your wits about you in order to respond appropriately. If you shut down, you are in danger. If you panic, your decisions may lead you into even greater troubles. Many people are not used to listening to their hearts in situations like these. And yet, this is the best avenue you can take when dealing with SHOCKING times.

Use the Re-Alignment for the New Paradigm intuition exercise and this symbol to help you. Look at the Circle to below and think of a situation where you are struggling to find an appropriate response. You may feel stuck or shut down, or you may be emotionally driven to repeat an old behavior that you know from experience has not worked well.

Once you have the situation, go through the “Re-Alignment for the New Paradigm” exercise with the objective:

“I am open to new solutions when it comes to  ______________.” (fill in the blank with your situation)

The answers may not come to you immediately, yet if you stay centered, they will come.”

“American society has interesting and conflicting views about the Truth. You say, “the Truth shall set you free” and yet your actions often belie the statement.

The fear of the Truth is the subject of our reading and the Hexagram from the I Ching that conveys the energy of the cosmos at this time is #35 Progress. We are moving out of Hexagram #23 Deterioration where major aspects of your society have come face to face with defeat, yet that is not necessarily a bad thing.

If you have been paying attention to the media and believing that you have no options, you will disregard the underlying changes that have appeared for the better. If you, instead, will listen to the messages from your heart you will understand that indeed, Progress is being made.

Remember that the forward movement of humanity is not dependent upon false ideas about money and returning to the “good old days.” You know intuitively that the time for new answers is upon you.

Communication is the key and here I will quote from the I Ching Workbook by R. L. Wing:

“Communication is now of vast importance during a time of rapid PROGRESS. It is wise for you to stay in close touch with all levels of your social world. Monitor the needs of others and be supportive of progressive improvements. Take an active part in the affairs of society now in order to refine and enhance your inner worth.”

What Will Help During this Time?

Learn to stop identifying with the small mind for it would like you to believe that the Truth is something to be afraid of.

What if you stopped trying to control the Truth and made it a friend? Could you allow it to be more of a guide and objective force of Nature than something to be avoided or denied?

If you are unhappy, what is the harm in accepting the Truth and then taking steps to rectify it? Perhaps some may feel that there would be some form of punishment involved in finding a solution.

I would suggest that there is more suffering involved in denying or avoiding the Truth than there is in coming clean. The opportunities for reform are great and far reaching at this time, yet the opportunity is lost when the Truth cannot or will not be discerned.

Make a Pact With Your Spirit

Choose to follow Truth and forgive yourself unconditionally for any error or misunderstanding you may be holding in your small mind. Allow your heart and spirit to soften the harsh words you have for yourself and others. All are caught in the illusion of the small mind and you can help by removing your voice from the cacophony of accusations.

Your smile and gentle words will accomplish more in this time than forceful or punitive measures. Give yourself permission to reform your strength of character. Allow the the energy of the cosmos to influence your understanding of the human condition. Then, when you can see the seeds of discontent within yourself as well as others, you will know the true meaning of compassion.

Holding grudges against yourself and others is not productive and distracts from the true possibilities.

If you fear certain decisions that will set you free, allow your hope for the future to relax you and show you the way forward.

Release any agreement to be hard on yourself or others.”

Tips For Making Friends With The Truth

“Truth Knows No Master”

If your life has become too complex, play the Simplicity Game I have provided for you. The Truth is much easier to perceive when extraneous elements are removed.

Perhaps you have allowed some simple benefit to be ignored. Now is the time to become aware of it and embrace it for your higher good. Meditate on this symbol and place it in your home, someplace where you can see it often. As you look at it, ask yourself, “What benefits am I turning away from?” For most of you, there are many. Resolve to change your attitude towards them and accept them as gifts.

The small mind would prefer that you forget the gentler movements of the cosmos because it is addicted to dramatic and apocalyptic visions. Release your agreement with those visions and allow your heart and soul to guide you. Let yourself be supported by the emerging energy of Progress.”
