Sacred Cow Tipping – Time to Change Focus

Creating a Tipping Point for Sustainable Economic Prosperity

The Status Quo is at it again – trying to blow the smoke of denial in our eyes. They would like us to rescue the Old Economy and bring back the old ways of manipulating commerce and unsustainable business practices.

Sacred Cow Tipping Game

What is actually required is to move forward and build the infrastructure for a New Economy based on sustainability, access and accountability. Yet the Sacred Cow that says, “Keep looking backwards” is front and center, stubbornly digging it’s heels in to sabotage any real change.

Most people know in their heart of hearts that the old economy is dying. The Old Guard would love to feed the sense of hopelessness and fear with their carefully calculated doomsday predictions and the Media will gladly oblige.

What we can do to pull the plug on this kind of thinking is to turn our focus towards businesses and solutions that are being built now, rather than spending our precious resources on keeping the Titanic afloat.

To do that, we will have  to release our social contract to comply with “Keep looking backwards”. One way to do that is to consciously make some new decisions.

Soul Contract Circle

Take a look at the Soul Contract Circle above and use these affirmations to break the contract:

“I release my agreement to buy into the fear, denial and doomsday thinking of the Old Guard.”

“I release any agreements I have to feed them with my attention or energy.

“I stop supporting those who are greedy or irresponsible.”

“I now focus on building the infrastructure for a sustainable economy.”

If you want to change your focus even more, you can play the entire Sacred Cow Tipping Point Game.

Kuan Yin’s Chronicles on the Economic Debacle

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Kuan Yin Simplicity GameKuan Yin is helping us with her I Ching readings and divinations to interpret larger trends and the feng shui remedies that will assist us in moving forward and adapting to the energy of the cosmos during this time of economic and social upheaval. She is very direct and to the point, even though she is known as a Goddess of Compassion. Her messages are intended to offer practical advice and suggestions that will inform and illuminate our perceptions so that we can go through what she calls “the quickening” as quickly as possible.

The I Ching Reading

Kuan Yin’s message for December is:
“Admitting Erroneous Thinking Paves the Road to New Innovation”

Paving the Road to Innovation

“There is a problem in the thinking of your countrymen that has to be addressed before any further progress can be made. You may say that your economy is “stuck” yet we would say that it is more like a broken chalise.

Having money without integrity is the ultimate form of bankruptcy, for solvency is impossible without an intact container. No matter how much money you pour into a broken system, it will be to no avail because the leakage is not addressed.

The leak that is causing so much problem is not repairable. That is the bad news.

The good news is that there are other chalises that are ready to fulfill the purpose of economic prosperity. Therefore the problem is not so much about fixing what is. It is about shifting priorities and perspectives in a way that may seem strange to you.

A tipping point has been reached you see, and there is no going back to the way it was.

No doubt there will be much teethgnashing and dramatic experiences waiting around the bend. We would say that all is not lost if you can remember that sticking together is your best hope. Stay calm, support one another and do what you can to shift your perspectives and priorities in a new direction. This Sacred Cow Tipping Game provides a structure for you to reframe your thinking and let go of collective assumptions that have gotten you into this predicament.”

Household Tips

“Take time to rearrange your living room to accomodate for the colder weather and the coming of winter. Bright lights and shiny objects are traditions at this time of year and that is partly to augment the darkness of the season. Moreover the abundance of light and color brings cheer to your hopes and dreams.

Build a tree this year with the intentions of being a light to the world, for you are all lights and don’t forget that.”

Sacred Cow Tipping #1 – Fighting the Flow

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

No one can deny that the economic landscape is changing. When change of this magnitude happens, it’s common to want to try and force things to go back the way they were. The flow of Nature and Man are intimately connected in ways we have yet to fully understand, yet Nature isn’t always working against our aims, as we are so often led to believe. With the proper respect it’s possible to harness her power for our benefit and learn to travel with the flow, rather than against it.

That’s why our first Sacred Cow is one of the main standbys of the old guard:

“Insist on the myth of continual growth.”

Sacred CowWe know that this one is utterly false (pun intended), and yet somehow, way back in the primordial mass of our reptilian brains, there is a fear of winter – a dread of the darkness. We want it to be summer all year long!

The old guard likes to feed off of this primal instinct by promising that all we have to do is vote for this or invest in that and that mean ol’ winter will never come. They have tried to keep staving off the inevitable and now the backlash of our denial is devastating.

I wonder what would happen if we could accept the natural ebb and flow of the seasons and life’s circumstances. What if we were willing to learn how to slow down, adapt to the changes and stop fighting them?

When you tip today’s Sacred Cow, you will understand better how you might be unconsciously feeding the fear of ‘being without’ and making it worse than it actually is. Not only that, you will gain insight from your Soul about how you can partner with Nature to bring balance and prosperity back into your heart and life.

Play our Sacred Cow Tipping Game, release your unconscious agreement to participate in fighting Nature, and get back into the flow.

Livelihood Under Attack

When life gets hard for people, they often blame others for their difficulties. You do not want to be on the receiving end of their frustrations. The energy of blame is negative ch’i that often gets sent to others unconsciously, causing what I call negative energy attacks. Feng shui can protect you if you apply remedies to your home or office.

This is a Feng Shui symbol from Kuan Yin that provides protection from negative attacks.Reputation Remedy

You can deflect ill-will, scapegoating, grudges, gossip and other forms of sha energy in the reputation area of your home by following the directions below.

Directions:
Click on the link below and scroll down to the “To Each Their Own” symbol and click again. Print up the page. Cut and trim one symbol to place on the center of the back wall of your house and/or office. Give the remaining symbols to your friends for them to use in the same way.

Tips for Preventing Post-traumatic Stress #1

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

The best way to deal with long-term symptoms of post-traumatic stress is to prevent it from happening in the first place. Obviously, one never knows when something traumatic might occur or where, however, there are ways of handling the situation once it has happened that can significantly reduce a person’s susceptibility to long-term feelings of hopelessness and alienation.

If you or someone you know has just been through a traumatic event, the best time to take steps to prevent PTSD is as soon as possible.

1. Combine encouragement with time to process the event.

The importance of combining positive input while realistically processing what has happened is an interesting balance. The key here is to “talk about it, but don’t dwell on it.” That way the patterns of shock, fear and hopelessness are dispelled before they get a chance to become habitual.

Formula # 2 in Soul Oriented Solutions offers one way to help those who have been overwhelmed by recent events by going through a process that will help to calm them down and focus in on what would genuinely help them.

This e-book is free of charge and can be downloaded right now by going to:

Sacred Cow Tipping – The Seeds of Hatred

Friday, May 4th, 2007

In recent weeks we have witnessed many examples of what happens when we expect anger and rage to solve our problems. Hatred of this kind is an acting out of ancient patterns that are crying out to be healed. You may say, “those incidents are just an anomoly, Cho was sick, most people don’t have that problem.”

Say that to the people in Iraq.

“But that’s way over there,” you may say. “The Sunni’s and Shiites all hate eachother.”

I recently went to a meeting to promote an economy built on peace and the hatred, resentment, superiority and indignation was palpable. I drove home and watched several people be cut off and flipped off. I walked into the house to find my husband watching the TV. His eyes were practically bugging out, he was so outraged by the lies of the pundits shouting at eachother and the politicians making their excuses. Within moments, I found myself completely buying into it.

Sorry, folks. It’s not just “out there.” It’s here in our hearts – a nasty old weed that feeds this Sacred Cow:

“The only way to solve a problem is by fighting with it.”

As Sacred Cows go, this one is primed to be tipped and if enough of us release our ancestral and collective agreement with it, we have a much better chance for seeking out a new way.

Play our Sacred Cow Tipping Game and pay extra attention to your answer to the question “What would you do instead?’

Sacred Cow Tipping – Allowing Compromise

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

The Status Quo contends that the purpose of agreements is to enforce their power and control. However the real purpose of agreements is so that we may all live together in greater harmony and peace. Another inherent quality of agreements is that they can be re-negotiated if they aren’t creating the desired effect.

However, what if the person(s) involved will not allow the compromise? This does happen, and we are witnessing it in our Leaders right now. They might be merely stubborn and inflexible, because dammit they MUST stay the course or they will be guilty of weakness. Another possibility is that they could be willfully ignoring other important agreements just so that they can remain in control. Either way, the results are the same. They cannot bring themselves to let go of the original agreement, so even though they say they are changing directions, they are still just staying the course. In addition, every time they make a new agreement, they compound the problems, confusion and social unrest that already exist.

What is the Sacred Cow controlling this unholy stalemate? Well, after all, we do have a pretty significant cultural agreement that:

“Any deviation from the pre-agreed agenda is a sign of weakness and can only be construed as failure.”

This inflexible, unmerciful Sacred Cow is standing behind the scenes keeping everyone stuck in the mud, not just our leaders. Play our tipping game. By releasing your personal, familial, social and collective agreement with it, we may be able to let ourselves off the hook, so that we can re-negotiate and move forward again.

Sacred Cow Tipping – Apocalypse Now?

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

The Status Quo is now behaving like an old Puritanical schoolmaster from the days of yore who has lost control of the classroom. Indignant and motivated by revenge, the powers that be spend their time vilifying the standouts and threatening everyone with dire, apocalyptic punishments.

Luckily, we have gotten past the point where we would be deterred from our convictions by being set in the corner with a dunce cap on our heads.  Unfortunately, we still have a little charge on the idea that we might just be blown to bits if we fail to do as we’re told.

That’s why today’s Sacred Cow is about another key survival motivation that is being used against us:

“Use revenge to motivate people to stay in line.”

If you are as tired as I am of the Status Quo using pain, punishment and threats as the way to maintain their agenda, play our tipping game and release any and all agreements to buy into it.

Sacred Cow Tipping – Polarized Thinking

Saturday, January 6th, 2007

The Sacred Cows for January have to do with our survival motivations and the either/or syndrome, i.e. “either you’re for us or against us,” “either you win or you lose,” and the infamous “either you’re right or you’re wrong.”
Thinking in absolutes is the basis of most survival issues and provides the fodder for war – “Either we stay in Iraq until we win or we cut and run.” This kind of polarized thinking is collective and filters down into our families and businesses to pollute our motivations and decision-making processes. In the end, either/or thinking makes it very difficult for us to cooperate with each other and build positive consensus in our projects.

I hope you will join me in playing our tipping game, where we consciously release any unconscious agreement we may have with this dangerous Sacred Cow:

“Limit the choices people make by speaking and thinking only in terms of black and white.”

Nature is our teacher as she adapts, recombines and evolves. She is filled with variables, creative combinations and surprising options. Maybe it’s time we followed her lead by letting go of our personal, business, national and collective agreements to limit ourselves in this way.As usual, I will post the others as they come up throughout the month on our Intuitive Learning Circle blog and selected forums.

Sacred Cow Tipping – Re-establishing Connection

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

Countdown: Day 1 out of 5 Days for Releasing Extremism and Fear

A baby requires attention and love. When those things are witheld or absent, the child’s growth and happiness is stunted. As an adult they may exhibit learning and behavioral difficulties, a fear of being abandoned or left behind. Or they may feel disconnected from themselves, other people, or the Earth.

In an attempt to feel connected, they often seek out organizations, gangs, or cults that promise a sense of belonging. Unfortunately, the connection is usually based on an “us vs. them” mentality, which only perpetuates the isolation and sets up the conditions for extremism.

This Sacred Cow has caused endless strife and suffering. As our last game in this series, I hope that you will take the time to release your personal, familial, cultural and collective agreements with:

“I am all alone.”

Give yourself the gift of releasing the fear and loneliness of the past and join with others to build a new collective consciousness based on love, respect, and tolerance.

Thank you for participating in our tipping game, and remember that you are never alone.
