Countdown: Day 12 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

If we genuinely want to be successful in changing our direction, a strong inner sense of what we want to create is required. Have you carefully thought about what you want to experience and have you taken definite action towards that goal?

If not, you may be falling under the influence of this Sacred Cow:

“People are like sheep, they need someone to lead them and only certain people are capable of being leaders.”

At it’s best, this Sacred Cow creates complacency and a dependence on what’s going on outside of us. At worst, it is the foundation for cults, despotism and dictatorship.

If we are waiting to be told what to do, we aren’t really changing direction at all.

As alert people, each of us has the capacity and responsibility to make our own decisions and create our own circumstances. To tip this cow, play our game:

Sacred Cow Tipping - Making a Difference

Day 28 of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

The roots of intolerance, ignorance and apathy run wide and deep, like crabgrass in a bed of flowers. Every wise gardener knows that there is a myriad of factors involved in properly managing a garden. Proper watering, nutrients, and sunlight keep it healthy and vigorous. A balance of insects and microbial elements prevent infestations and decay.

Timing is also of major importance. If you catch the crabgrass at just the right time and pull them out all the way down to the taproots, you can prevent them from overrunning the garden later.

That is exactly what we are doing when we release these collective agreements. We are using the month of November as a window of opportunity to reach deep into the bed of society and pull out opportunistic taproots that prevent us from prospering.

Is it a panacea? No. Will our problems immediately and magically go away? No, again, yet it is an important part of bringing the ecology of our human consciousness back into balance with it’s environment. What we are doing with our  Sacred Cow Tipping game is really a process of deciding what we want to grow.

That’s why today’s Sacred Cow is:

“An individual can’t make a difference”

The essence of this particular Sacred Cow is hopelessness, helplessness or a general attitude that says, “My choices don’t really matter, so why bother?”

Play the game with me today and release your personal, ancestral and collective agreements with this weed. Weaken it. Cut it off from its food supply so that our future collective garden has a better chance of producing the flowers we truly desire.
When you play you are making a difference.
