Sacred Cow Tipping - Thanks, But No Thanks

Countdown: 8 Days remaining of 30 Days to Creating a Change in Direction

In America, we are taught that being “nice” is the same as being co-dependent. In my practice, I find that the number one cause of stress came from people not being able to say “no’ and doing things for other people without asking. Whether it’s a business, friend, family or romantic relationship, the story is nearly always the same.

Interestingly enough, once the agreement was released and the person seriously decided to stop, either by saying “no” or by letting go of their need to fix the other person or the situation, their physical, mental and emotional health immediately improved, almost like magic.

Think about disagreements that happen during family get-togethers. Ninety percent of the time it’s because someone is pushing too far into someone else’s business.

Where does this urge to poke into other people’s privacy come from? It’s a learned agreement from Society and if you doubt it, look at what we’re doing in Iraq.

Perhaps its time to release our collective, personal and familial agreement with this Sacred Cow:

“Interfere in other people’s business without their permission.”

Thanks for playing.
