Rather than get into debates with my "wit and wisdom" I cut to the chase, asking for what I wanted and giving it also to the person whom I was debating. This has created a lot of stress and resentment. So I tipped the sacred cow of "You can never get anyone to do anything" to let go of the idea that I can't get people to help so I have to do everything myself. There will always be someone who if they see they are truly needed, will come to the task.
