Developing Patience as Your Idea Grows

SunIn “The Magic If” you were asked to imagine your idea for a new direction as a seed. The reason is because a seed is a kernal of pure potentiality, nothing more. What you do with it makes the difference between whether it becomes just another “pie in the sky” or a “down to earth” idea that can grow into a full-fledged project if you are patient.

For example, I saw one of my ideas as an apple seed and couldn’t figure out for the life of me what it symbolized to me in that situation. My ego wanted the answer right now, but my intuition told me to just let it rest. Three days later, I was playing another game and the meaning of the apple suddenly became very clear.

So be patient with yourself and let your idea grow naturally. If you try to force it or act as if it were already fully mature, you will squelch it’s potential. On the other hand, when an idea is ripe, it’s important to put it into action or you’ll miss the harvest.

Alternative fuel sources are an example of an idea whose time has come, yet we have been here before and nothing happened. So what’s required to a create a tipping point for energy sources that will really stop contributing to pollution and global conflict?
In What’s Next? let’s focus our objective in to see what happens when we cultivate our gardens to find a positive solution for economical, sustianable energy.

Let the ideas flow,
